In this video we push further into Cape Cornwall Tin mine, further than we ever had before. Previous explorations were halted when we reached workings what go progressively deeper water the further we explored.
Cape Cornwall mine was a small tin mine which opened in 1838 during the Cornish tin mining boom.
The mine changed owners a few times who added various buildings and machinery to the site, before being abandoned for good in 1883.
The plan of the mine shows the depth of the workings, most of which extend way below sea level and are now flooded, however, a small section is still possible to visit from one of the mines adit drainage tunnels.
As always, please dont attempt to repeat what you have seen in this video unless you are an experienced and suitable equipt mine explorer. This mine has many dangers, mostly falls into workings below, some of which there is no way out of, and part of the mine is prone to collapse.
Hope you enjoy the video and dont forget to subscribe for future mine adventures.
