Can’t get anymore Northwest than this point in the country. Cape Flattery Trail is 10 miles past Neah Bay. The trail is 1 mile to the bluff. Absolutely gorgeous views and breathtaking scenery.
This is why I follow Eric! These are the places while I was "Searching for America" and I never saw after 3 million miles as a trucker! Thanks dude! Blue Sky's and Safe Journeys
The ocean view you showed reminded the wife of when she lived in Greece. The AC squeak, could be just a belt slipping. Spray some belt conditioner on it.
Gorgeous!!! Thanks again Eric for taking me places I will probably never see. Congrats on the trade to a new RV home. I am so looking forwards to your next cross country adventure.
THIS is why I'm a follower of your channel!!! It's also why I ignore any negative posts about you. They don't affect me but your videos do. I look forward to your continued travels. You and Jax travel safe.
DID YOU KNOW ?????...That if someone hits you in the rear. those BUTANE TANKS are going to cause a very dangerous situation.. Need to place inside out of the way !!!!
Greetings Eric ,\ Just want to say I have been watching your vlog for a long time. Yours and Casey Niestat's are the two vlogs I check every day. Yours are just as good and getting better as you chill out. I also wanted to say ,"Don't let the bastards get you down" Big dogs carry more ticks. The trolls envy your freedom. PS My cat Milo sometimes talks back to Jax on screen, I often wonder what he is saying
Richard Tighe Regarding your remark: "The trolls envy your freedom." I can't speak for the entire troll community but as for myself I do not envy anything about him. I shudder at the thought.
A video without Jax is like a day without sunshine. You really hammed it up in a few places there). Thanks for another great video Eric come to Miami and the Keys this time around.
At this time there are 369 likes out of 569 views....Just how can 21 dunderheads not enjoy this video is beyond me !!!!! Absolutely breathtaking scenery.........
I went to the Cape Flattery lookout about 10 years before this video was made. Everything seen here is how I remember it, except it was overcast the day I was there. If you ever want to feel like an absolute SPECK in the universe, go visit Cape Flattery (also, from what I've heard, The Grand Canyon). The enormity of everything is not to be believed. Those caves he showed, I swear you could fly an airliner into one of those. Absolutely humongous. Very cool place. Lots of switchbacks on the way out and lots of places to pull off if you want to walk on the (rather rocky) beach before you get to the lookout. One thing I remember is at the other end of the town of Neah Bay, on the way to the lookout, the road turns to the left then there's this funky intersection and there's nothing to tell you how to get to the lookout.......unless you look down and see the two little pieces of driftwood nailed together than say "Cape Flattery" and an arrow pointing up the one road. I used to have a picture of it. Alas, all those pictures are locked in a computer that completely failed when I was transferring all those pics onto it. =( ...now I want a van....again. =)
An idea, Eric; could you give snippets about weather conditions in each area you visit; does the creek/river/lake/ocean smell clean?, is there a nice breeze?, a chill in the air?, what's the temp?, is it muggy?, do you see lots or few colorful birds, rabbits?, do feral critters look healthy/skinny? Thnx!
I was fortunate enough to visit Cape Flattery back in July, 2005. The 3 things I recall about it was the somewhat muddy trail, the beautiful scenery at the end, and that lighthouse in the distance on Tatoosh Island. Unforgettable experience.
Nice vids of our state. Keep up the good work. Head to central washington and dry falls or anywhere on the columbia river. Have fun. A traveler not a poster.
Thanks Eric for taking me and all of us on this great trip you have been on,you can tell you love what you are doing thanks for doing it for us.........
SimplyRVing how do you get down to it? See those cliffs? I'm scared of heights!! Fall off there and no one would hear you yell for help (except the sharks)! ZOINKS!!!
terry palmore The water looked to inviting. Never been up that way so I don't know how treacherous the waters over there can be,. But the scenery looked to lovely not to want to jump right in. :)
SimplyRVing That water is a bit cold for some people. The Japan current is flowing south from the artic along that part. That is why San Francisco is so foggy and what brings all the rain to that area for the redwood trees to grow as big as they do. They need a lot of rain and fog to grow that high.
They no longer have an online store. They don't even ship internationally.I was thinking of mailing some to a couple of the big eaters like Matt Stonie,to see how fast they could eat a 5lb brick:)
I have actually been there. It is amazing! I recently started making daily videos about my guide dog, I would love some more subscribers. Thanks for your inspiration Eric and of course Jax Cat.
Oh I am so going there for sure. It was spectacularly beautiful, majestic even, like a little peak at what heaven will be like. Thank for taking us along, just in case i die before I get up there. So very cool Eric.
***** This guy is way more than a goof. I saw this on another channel and only wanted opinions about it. Goof should go over and be goofy with YarrVee.
That was one of your finest efforts yet. It's a beautiful place isn't it! A birding trail and no Jax? That just doesn't seem right. Good work on hamming it a bit and nice music selection. Your AC might just need a recharge. Get a refil of 132a refrigerant with a charging hose on it. Takes a few minutes to recharge. I need to do it a couple times a year myself.
That boondocking spot on 112 is private property that's been open to camping for many years. You've just spoiled it for the few that know about that spot. Will no doubt be closed to camping when the hordes trash it with garbage and fire pits. Please use a little more common sense ok.
Eric, pop your hood while the a/c is on and if you see the clutch starting and stopping your auto air conditioner is low on Freon. You can fix that yourself. I use to repair a/c's. Look up some youtube videos on adding Freon to a car and fix this yourself. I don't know from state side pricing but it's like $15.. You need a can of 134a Freon $5/8 bucks and a charging jig, about $8. Easy peasy, common problem. Don't use the whole can, that should be to much. Do it soon because you run the risk of sucking outside air into you system the longer you wait on this and run it under charged. You don't want that to happen, trust me
Amazingly Breathtaking! Did you go swimming Eric? I would have rushed down that trail and got in! I will jot this one down for places to visit! Great Video!
Absolutely awesome!!!! God's creation and handiwork are inexpressible......Psalm 90:1-2 "Lord, you have been our dwelling place in all generations. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God"
Those trails are amazing , just think what went into making those . so awesome! My power steering pump only whines on rainy days , so i agree if it works why bother! Lol
Wow. Very beautiful. I loved this video. I'd thumb up twice if I could! Have you ever come to the northeast? If you do, I highly recommend checking out Ausable Chasm in upstate New York and Lost River Gorge in New Hampshire- awesome hiking and breathtaking views!
When you where talking about your AC you moved your steering wheel and that's when it made noises. I it mite be your power steering going bad or fluid low and leaking.. I've had 3 different years of econoline vans and all of them had power steering leakage...
I will keep that spot in mind. Last month I had a choice of going to Cape flattery or Ruby beach. I went to ruby beach and it was amazing. Next time I'm in WA I will have to check it out!
I really enjoy your videos and what you're doing. And I envy you for Jax's willingness to be on a leash. My current cat will barely wear her collar. One thing that I think would add something to your videos would be to mix some of the natural sound back in when you have a music montage section. Audio is what I do for a living and I'd be happy to give you some easy tips on anything related. Happy travels.
Where is Jax? One of your best views, Great camera work, You do take special care with Editing it shows. Keep safe and watch the idiot drivers! O and again Where is Jax? LOL
We were just there 4 days ago. It's everything you showed and more. I might mention that the trail can be tough for older folks and ladies carrying their purse, lol. But, if you are under 70 and in any kind of reasonable shape, you should be OK. We encountered a man pushing a woman in a wheelchair as we got back to the top, and I told him not to try it. Showed him some of our photos on the trail, and he got the message OK and went back to the RV.
cape flattery is soooo incredible, i want to get in my car and go there right now! also your camera work is amazing!!! you captured everything so well and showed us like we were there with you. the music was very cool too. give jax kisses !! thanks.
Another great vid. Just wanted to comment your vid about almost losing Jax. I to went through the same thing and u are right everything stops untel u get them back! u can see my little one here and I would be heart broken if anything happened to her. Keep thouse vids coming. please forgive my spelling mistakes I had a learning disability growing up.
Wow! Just fabulous videography. You are really getting good at using your equipment. There are a lot of people who follow you because of your expert work. Keep it up!
Eric ...since i have to work all the time, its nice to watch your videos and take a road trip with you on your vlogs around my home state washington...thanks bro..i appreciate your vlogs, gets me out of the office in my mind.
What incrediable footage, parts when your on the road remind me of Crescent City in the 70's. I am really enjoy and appreciate the work you do, otherwise I would not get to see these places.
You need to address the wind noise when talking to cam when you are driving. Whenever I start to hear that anymore, I just pause the video and go to another channel. It really is aggravating and I would think you would know better and would have solved it before now.
On the way to this beautiful hike is the Makah Museum on the Eastern edge of Neah Bay. It really is a must-see but give yourself several hours...there are a lot of cool things to look at! Another great hike in the area is the Ozette Triangle. Time it where the tide is out when you arrive at the beach so you can do the other two legs of the hike.
me and the woman agree out of all the channels we watch. we are right next to you sharing the view.as if we are there together. all other channels we watch we watch them. awesome cinematography. lol I be edjumacated and can speel :)
You are just a week or so ahead of me, I planned this for mid August! Excellent to get a sneek peak at the stuff I am going to do. But will be tent camping with dog. No trailer, want to be able to snag campsites of all shapes and sizes. Ps. I am the one who keeps posting pictures of your coffee cup on Facebook.
thanks for taking me along what a Beautiful place, watching your videos is nice that I can sort of come along. I have a severely handicapped child so I won't ever be able to visit any places, well not in this life anyway Thank you
that footage was awesome...something I aspire to shoot over here @ one year out! I cannot wait until your little announcement :-) I am sure most of your followers are privy to it though LOL! safe travels
