Cape Town, South Africa is arguably the most visually stunning place in the world. The cost of living in Cape Town is quite good to say the least! While I was visiting as a tourist, it didn’t stop me from going deeper to learn more about the culture and history. And there's a lot of deep, complex history in South Africa, especially in regards to race relations. Being Black myself, I had a lot of questions and I got a lot different answers. I could do a whole video on just the topic, but I will save that for another video. The one thing I did hear often was that there is progress being made.
Rene and I took the opportunity to explore this amazing city in the short time we had after hearing so much about it. This was my first time in Africa in a few years but it always feel good to come back.
There is so much to do Cape Town. If you're into good wine, views, food, yachting, different cultures, nightlife, you name it, this city is the perfect destination to experience it all.

I´m a german and I traveled to SA three times in the last three years, and all I can say is I LOVE this country. Especially the landscape, weather and peoples mentality. I´m planning to leave germany forever in the next 5 Years because I cant be happy here anymore and I miss my friends in Cape Town, Kimberly and Port Elizabeth so much ♥ I have seen a lot of places around the globe, but no one is more addicting than SA !

I am from Uganda grew up in the United States I've been wanting to move back to Africa for a while but I didn't want to move to a place that was too different from what I was used to since all I speak is English now and I just need to be in a place where people can dress freely, walk to a corner store safely simple things...all the roads look good doesn't look too dangerous... South Africa is definitely the place to start, I'll ease my way back to Uganda or I'll go back and fourth between the two places. But we definitely have alot of work to do in Uganda as far as construction and the roads build some nicer apartments more grocery stores etc..no offense to Uganda I love my home just being honest,, I love to see different races not just one race in when I watch videos of Uganda all I see is all black people and just like one or two white people...it's weired to me. But that's just me., everything looks super clean! And nice in south Africa! The beaches are breath taking, way better than California beaches

Man I wish I had someone to video my trip. I went to cape town in October 2019. I’m still on a high. we stayed in camps bay and hely horizon had personal chef and house helper. it was amazing. Uber was my favorite as well it was sooo cheap we rode around in bmw every ride lol. Aquila reserve we saw the lions it was exhilarating and scary. We took a sunset private sale man I can still feel the energy in my heart. I can’t wait to go back with my boo, so much more to explore 😩❤️

When I went to Cape Town, I was amazed at how friendly the people were. And they were. But then I realised that it wasn't just that they were friendly, I felt so much positive energy in Cape Town that I was being more friendly and the locals were responding to that. Maybe it's the mountains and the sea. I recall watching a cloud being pulled down by the gravity of Table Mountain. Then, as the cloud drifted across the top of the mountain, it was met by warm thermal air rising up the side of the mountain and the cloud started spiralling in slow motion. It was an incredible sight.

I had the wonderful opportunity to visit South Africa in September of 2016. It was the BEST thing I've ever done! I went to all of those places in this video and I even To more place! Johannesburg was one of my favorite places because there is so much history there. I also had the chance to Shakaland in Durban, South Africa. If you ever have a chance to visit SA again please make sure to visit Durban!

Gorgeous video. You should go to the Sabi Sands in Mpumalanga for safari to see lions and wildlife in unspoilt indigenous forest. It's an hour flight from Johannesburg and a private charter.

NO FAM😄😄 I've been to Pretoria and Durban and a couple other places in South Africa and one person at the hotel in Pretoria asked me if I thought I'd be running from lions when I got there lmao!🤣🤣 The stereotypes and perspective some people have of Africa is so unbelievable and pathetic. I was there in cape town in February 2018, everything he says is true. Cape Town has a different feel than Johannesburg. Also you can go to Robben island from Cape Town, that’s where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned. I travel all over the world also.

"To spend $150 for something that is worth a lifetime to me" - couldn't be truer! I spent $200 for a 30 minute helicopter tour of Rio de Janeiro and circled above Christ the Redeemer for five minutes or so. Those moments are irreplaceable and memories that will forever make you crack a smile! I'm doing my research now for Jo'burg/Cape Town this coming November - maybe Namibia too. Either way, epic stuff!

Not if you live there. You would fall on your back at the price you have to pay for water....let alone everything else. Most highly taxed country in the world. With no police service (private security is a must, but is not very good). Watch out for the gloss. This poor video shows nothing of the real SA

@@garthn2561 it shows the life of a tourist with money to spend, which our country needs, we need the tourism since every other industry in our country has been run into the ground, i agree though it doesn't cover issues such as our water issue, or the high rate of gun crime, car jackings and africas highest murder rate, but those are things that would keep people away, and those are things we have to deal with as south africans not something the tourists will have to really deal with if they use commonsense and stay vigilant. I did enjoy the video though, as i always do with passport heavy's work

@@garthn2561 That's Bullock what you said. Get your facts right. "Highest taxed country in the world" you probably knows nothing about other countries i think. Ever saw taxation rate in Japan ? current tax rate is approx. 56% which is low there. 6-7 years ago it was 60%. yeah yeah SA got highest tax rate in the world.

Such an amazing video that you and your team have done showcasing and highlighting the Mother City! Cape Town and the surrounding areas have been and always will be one of the most memorable places I've ever visited. Yes, just like any other big city, Cape Town has it's struggles, but the people are welcoming to everyone and put aside their differences regardless of what struggles they've endured in their past. This city truly shows how people of all races and cultures can come together and make living side-by-side attainable!
