At the end of Cape York's wet season, the rivers are still flowing hard so it is a great opportunity to fish the flowing water. Wardy is joined by his son and five mates to fish wild Cape York. Fishing Cape York is always amazing, fishing Cape York's run off is even better. Barramundi, Saratoga, Sooty Grunter and even Archer Fish make fishing Cape York a must.

Heading back to starke again this year but we are defiantly doing the Wenlock in the next couple of years, I need to do more research on our logistics from C QLD to there

The logistics is always the hardest. Even this year, I had people lined up to help out only to have to pull out at the last minute. It is a hard trip to organise. But worth it.

Awesome fishing adventure, really enjoyed the video showing the wildness of the river. Did you guys break many rods going through the fallen timber?

Great question mate. I think every other year we did this trip we snapped a rod or two but surprisingly enough, not this year.

Hi Mark, another great vid. In this you refer to the river height being about 3.7m. Can you tell me where this is measured? Cheers

G'day Kevm5205. Firstly, sorry for the late reply. I just went through my comments to make sure I didn't miss any and see that I missed this months ago. The height we use is the BOM reading from Moreton on the Wenlock. If you search the BOM site for Qld river heights, then go to all Qld rivers. Scroll down to the very bottom of that page and eight from the bottom is the Wenlock at Moreton. Here is the page www.bom.gov.au/cgi-bin/wrap_fwo.pl?IDQ60005.html Thanks mate. Wardy
