It's new roofs, not old ones, that get blown off in Cape Town. The reason is that craftsmanship, materials and construction methods were much better a century ago. The emphasis should be on which roofs get blown off, not the fact that roofs get blown off. Sadly, people get sensational news instead of factual across the wide media spectrum. Please use this as an added measure of discernment.
I appreciate your comment and probably agree. However, in these situations people who are affected should be empathised with regardless of the age of their buildings
