I would also check out the Hairball preamps before you make a decision. I would recommend the VP28 though.

@@SoundcastStudios Not saying it’s bad by any means. It just gives you a huge slab of ingredients to work with. You then have to go in and cut through the fat.

@@SoundcastStudios and Jeff and Joel are the nicest people too. Aerosmith uses VP28 and BT50 for their live shows now - so when I read a comment like this I’m like, WTF? Anyway sorry to give out but anybody who knows….knows VP28 Litz are the real deal.
