Another great review. Found myself nodding in agreement at 5:00 - the pitch of the terrain is such a critical but often overlooked element when it comes to gauging the float of a board. This man knows what he’s talking about!

I bought this board on this recommendation and used it in Japan. It was fantastic even when ridden outside the weight range. I’m a big guy with small feet so chose the 61. It has a 31cm tip and 260 waist width and i set it all the way back. Kept me floating perfectly and once i got used to not being too aggressive in late day chop it was fine. Can rip a circle carve too.

Hey TJ- You mentioned the really good float in powder, but looking at your video footage it appears the Navigator pierces THROUGH powder rather than the nose floating on top. Compare this to your earlier review of the Nitro Squash. That thing ain't sinking! Any thoughts on the float between the two?

Having this board for 4 months in my deck and i totally agree with your review. Really nice board and my new Favourite. Especially for allmnt/freeride 😍 Btw: I have the same weight and bought the 155... and it's awesome, too. Plus it works very nice with the Union Strata.

There are so many variations of snowboard shapes and tech it's become so hard to determine which ones are the best fit for me

If you live in the mountains its a good idea to have at least 2 boards in my opinion. Your daily and a board that will help you in powder. But at the end of the day, really think about what your riding style is and what you are doing out there the majority of the time and get a board that caters to that style

@@BoardArchive Thanks, I appreciate the tips. I'm just overwhelmed by the amount of choices. I've got the Burton Custom and Burton Name Dropper at the moment. I'm planning on adding a semi-powder board to the quiver.

@@matthewcheung5136 you've already got an all mountain board and a park board, go balls out. Pick up something wild for a pow board, you won't regret it. After riding a fatty swallow tail my life was changed. I picked up the Nitro Pow and it's the most fun I've ever had whether in 3 feet of fresh or laying it over and dragging elbow on courd. They ride like nothing else. K2 cool bean, Rossi Sushi, or if youre stuck on burton the new 3d Fish looks like an absolute riot.

REALLY liking the board review format, TJ! The Navigator is a board that was TOTALLY off my radar for a new all mountain daily driver (no park) for next season. There seems to be alot of overlap in Capita's offerings. How would the Navigator compare to the Kazu and the BSOD?

the bsod isnt as catered towards powder riding as the navigator or the Kazu pro are. But the Kazu is more of powder freestyle, while the navigator is more freeride oriented.
