Another bonus with the Capital One 360 Checking is that it pays a tiny interest. The current rate as of September 2022 is 0.1% a year or a couple pennies a month depending on how much money is in the account.

You will not be disappointed. The app works flawlessly. The credit cards aren’t the best, but they aren’t the worst. The only thing I do not like about Capital One is their interest rates are not the best in the market.

So as for me you only hold what you’re paying that month . Use your credit card card through the month pay one time bill at end of month after your savings accumulated interest then pay Or just have it come out of your savings One bill a month no debit card Easy and your savings is at 5%
I love this account I have had it for over two years .. let's say you accidentally overdraft the account they will give you 24 hours to fix it .. no od fee etc or you can just make transactions decline instead of OD your account.. (this won't stop ach payments just debit card transaction)

@@StephanieRZ if you open two checking accounts then you will only get one debit card. In the app you can switch between which account the debit card accesses at any given time. So that if you go buy something it will take it out of the account you last chose. Now if you open a credit line account (where you buy something, you will owe interest if you carry a balance) then that is different. They will give you another card to access only your credit account. That is a credit card, not a debit card. If you have a partner and add them as a co-owner or joint holder of the account then they will also get their own debit card in their name.
I had my first 2 credit cards from capital one after falling on hard times and was able to recover no one would would help with a credit line until capital one gave me a second chance after defaulting on 2 of there cards.
Just switched from Ally Bank as I've had enough of their non-existent "customer service." Capital One's sign up was flawless and instant. You're good looking, by the way ;)

Now the zelle is in correct..you can't transfer Zelle from one checking to your other checking because it asks for either email in phone number that's on the acct..if there the same it won't transfer using zelle
Regretting opening a checking.. the two day early pay is the biggest lie.. They hold my direct deposits two days AFTER it deposits and hold mobile checks for a week.

Correct. My other bank has my direct deposits two days in advance. Capital One should get with the program. If other banks can receive direct deposits two days early Capital One should be able to do it also. Very disappointed.
just opened one with capital one checking. I got an email from them and they said i have to do 4 things. 1) Make first deposit 2) Download Mobile app 3) Activate debit 4) enroll in direct deposit by giving your employer/payer your account and routing number. Do I have to do number 4 ?? Do u have to deposit employer payee to capitalone to open with them? this is weird to me

I recently opened Chase checking account and I have had Capital one checking for over a year and Capital One credit card for over 3 years and every payment on time with zero issues. Well with Capital One you can't even log in to your account as many times as you want in a day because at some point you will get a message saying you have maxed out of your log in limit try again in 24 hours. Maybe for this reason alone I should stay with Chase Bank and forget about Capital One banking.
I had a car loan with Capital One, I have a credit card with them and checking and savings accounts and have had to call them for various things. Always a really great experience and they worked with me very reasonably during covid when I had to defer a couple payments. No complaints here
I was denied in July for this. They sent a letter saying about my EWS score. Capital One might not use Chexsystems but they use Early Warning Systems which is the same shit but different name.
I think I'm the only one who doesn't own a smartphone. every video over tech has some sort of smartphone in there. from app to website to lookup to photos anything. I just use my PC for everything no need for a smartphone

@@CityChristina Some people like to stick with one bank. Then, they also may one one checking account where all of their deposits go and where their spending money is while the other checking account may be used for paying bills. That is one of my guesses.
@@CityChristina to organize expenses, create a budget. One account is to pay bills, another for recreational stuff, another for pet expenses. etc. Multiple savings accounts too for different types of savings. one for an emergency fund for example. I have a bunch of accounts for different things, including business.
Will company policy stand in the way of a common sense solution to a problem because of where I turn that's what I'm told why should I trust Capital One I got 30k to deposit if really to pick up a phone and check my story don't have to take my word for it there is proof that I am legit and nobody will lose one penny if they cooperate

this is lousy customer service as possible, i made payment few hours late because their website was down, still they charged me late payment fee and didn't agree to waive unjustified fee.
