Joey seems like a cocky douche. He's better than most. Clearly had a good taste, but it's fucking rap/hip hop man. Capital Steez could get confused with an original 90s hip hop legend because he's so good. His shit is innovative. Other guys meh
@@unsubplease9364 I think I misunderstood after second thought. I think Steez had self esteem issues and I bet he felt like he was socially awkward. That's probably why he only released so little and never is the spokesman. Joey knew that and probably feels just as awkward stepping up and having to be that guy. They just want to make music and have these people coming at them with interviews. Of course the goal is to make a living off of it, but I don't think they were seeking fame, which is why he seems like he's being a dick. He probably just doesn't know what to say lol.
8:10 I only just got this after watching many times Steez says "we dont play though" in response to the interviewer saying that PE are philosophical people. It doubles as "we dont Plato" as in the ancient Greek philosopher. This dude was on another level.
Adolescent Beats nah, steez was a wordplay genius.. why do you think everybody was like "ahh" after he said that? he's known for his nice wordplay and double entendres
austin byrum Shut up man no one knew what Steez was going through and at the end of the day they're still homies. Don't tell me you don't play around with your friends like that. Tired of these comments
Joey looks uncomfortable in the interview. if steez had the mic this interview woulda went on for an hour. Everytime the reporter is asking a question Steez looks so excited to answer
Joey looked up to him, but was brought up to strive to be a leader by his mom's. You can see it reflected in his arrogant body language. Steez has more going on in his mind than the words leaving his mouth.
JEFFMAN90 Fuck that man steez created that shit, unfair they wanted joey alone without pro Era and that's why they didn't get any buzz. Plus steez was the one really creating the group.
I hate how they ask STEEZ about his project and cut him off about his weight and don’t let him return to the topic. STEEZ was the teacher and the wisdom holder in his group. No offense to any of the other pros but they lost their touch it seems now that STEEZ is gone. Rest easy STEEZY. You’re heavily missed in this physical realm. 47 til infinity.
only the real know that true envy kills all an steez alive or not left to show that with out him they are all phony prophets an fake followers of true enlightenment an peace
just imagine a kendrick x steez collaboration... that must had been the realest track on earth. it makes me just sad things like that will never be able to happen anymore...
I love steez so much. his wordplay was beautiful and he had a beautiful soul. he helped me get through so much and still is. may your soul rest in heaven, Jamal! see you in 2047
Seeing young Kirk Steez and Joey warms my heart. And to see where they are now... Nobody would've guessed it. But Steez knew. Steez knew all along. R.I.P. King STEELO
Capital STEEZ was a true professional. He was born with such an amazing gift. It seems like he didn't give a fuck about being famous it just came to him. I respect him even more than I thought I could when I saw his videos of him rapping as a kid and putting himself out there.
Shit got me down too I discovered this after Macs passing so I was like wuht they had a subtle beef or wuht then looked into it. I still got mad respect for both artists they are both in my list. And are in heavy rotation often
@@Respect2theFallen Could be or not. But I think Steez dissed Mac, because everybody back then were shitting on him all over Blue Slide Park got negative reviews. Critics don't speak for fans. Even I did until I actually heard it after Macadelic and WMWTSO
The fact that Joey stands in the front wanting to be the center of attention and the crew stands side by side with STEEZ, the fact that Joey not once passed the mic to STEEZ but handed it to Kirk and then the fact after STEEZ passed, Joey to this day has not put out anything solid of Capital STEEZ's work and the Pro Era crew pretty much dissolved lets me know that Joey had a hand in the death of Capital STEEZ and the song Last Straw was too much for Joey to bare. RIP STEEZ. IMHO one of the best to ever do it.
I get that Joey kind of comes off as an asshole in this interview, and maybe he was, but despite everything he is the leader of Pro Era. Steez even said that. Joey learned from what happened that year and I think he loved Steez more than any of the other pros
I can tell there was a lot on steez’s mind that he probably wanted to say but just kept to himself instead. Wish I could be able to listen to all he had to say , but I guess that’s something he took to the grave with him & we will never be able to know. RIP STEEZ #47
i’ll never not notice how they always gave him looks when he would speak or rap. they knew, and also knew they would shine in his ABSENCE. Kirk & Joey specifically in every video they have with STEEZ
3:19 people are gonna be ignorant so why not play with their brains” that goes for the 47 sticker , him wearing the baphomet shirt , throwing up the one eye symbol…. He never sold out he was just knowing their code the whole time💯
Joey looked up to him, but was brought up to strive to be a leader by his mom's. You can see it reflected in his arrogant body language. Steez has more going on in his mind than the words leaving his mouth.
Steeze was an introvert and cared about the bars above everything else. Joey and him were friends and kids none the less, at the time. Joey could have left pro era and flew solo, but he stayed. Idk if everything PE has done up til this day is something that steez personally would've cosigned, but again. At this point in time, they were kids. Some would still consider them that now. People grow, mindsets mature and become more malleable, and incentives get altered. All in all, I think they've done what they can to keep the memory of steeze alive, and at the end of the day, they knew him better than any fan did. I do think that some of the moves made were the right things done for the wrong reasons, but I digress. Thankful for what art we did get out of them as a full package. I still rock with PE and Steeze.
Capital, Definitely was wise , wordsmith, very intelligent being so wise is a gift and a curse .. don’t know what happened to him and why but REST IN PEACE
As Im commenting this there are 472 comments, when steez mentioned "Plato" Plato died in 347 BC Not only that ever since of i've started getting into this stuff ive been seeing 47 everywhere 8:00
STEEZ didn't have to be front .an, when your a boss everyone knows, you don't need to shout it out. He was a growing genius, who didn't get chance to fulfil his dreams. Oh, an since when was joey a doctor of mental health? Everyone jumped on that STEEZ was depressed, low self esteem, how do you all know? Following like sheep what the me dia say! NMRK CAPITAL STEEZ, thank you for bringing hip hop to a higher vibration
Crazy to look back on such history of rap😐 steez called mac miller "wack" buh if both of em woulda collaborated before joey did it woulda been🔥🔥buh both of em are in a better place now✨ #longlivesteez #ripmac💔
Agree 100% Mac miller's early stoner tracks weren't my vibe but he evolved and I grew to like what he was changing into pretty much dig all his work now but Faces and Swimming are probably my favorites. Steez didn't put out any bad music in my opinion
im a grown man today but everytime I come back to steelo I feel like I havent even climbed half the mountain hes mastered. its crazy tho because the older I get the more i see he was just a fcking kid, and didnt have the proper surroundings at that age.
Anytime they asked about Steez,Joey didn't wanna let the mic go and you can see his attitude about not having all the attention...Body Language say it all..
Once there was no steez there was no pro era. How can you move on with a music group when the person who created the idea is not involved. It should not have mattered that joeys mixtape did better numbers. Theres a different between star player and coach.
