Obviously Russia is not a Communist enclave today but Putin has recognised the cultural imperative of Russians, that of the imperative of social conservatism. Putting tolerates todays Russian Communists above that of the likes of "social subversives" as personified by Navalny et al. Russian Communists today uphold the social traditions of Russia,this is why Putin embraces them despite him being a shape shifting Conservative, for want of a better word. I, personally, don't like to subscribe to labels, I feel they are mostly unproductive. I subscribe to ideas and values. The ideas and values of the RCP are most aligned with me, more than any other party. Would you say the same? Let me just ask, if Fiona was speaking for the same worker values, policies and revolutionary takedown of capitalist ruling elite status quo, but she was part of the Revolutionary Humanitarian Party, would you be more comfortable supporting them? Would you be okay with saying, "Yes, I'm a humanitarian!" I'm asking genuinely, because I wonder if the RCP has thought about the obstacles they may have calling themselves communists even if the actual word and practices are good for the people, but the propaganda against the word is quite a tall task to overcome, even for people who would support everything they stand for.

Okay so if I understand the argument, its that any boycott should be lead by trade unions and workers refusing to deal with arms shipments to Israel, followed by revolutionary action in their own countries? I mean that isn't the same as a blanket boycott but they have a point and it's not NOT a boycott either. Engaging with the dynamics of capitalist imperialism on its own terms probably is a dead end in the long run. It's an argument I'm open to, and will read more about.
