I've watched a lot of cappadocia tourist clips over the years but I've never experienced it the way you covered the whole place. I mean trekking paths, great insights into churches; fantastic views and a really good narration. Man you should be paid by turkey tourism. You really deserve bigger audience and heavy pockets .lol. joke aside, I really really enjoyed your zigzag through all these valleys and churches. Well done guys.

The Catalan Architect Gaudi was inspired from Cappadoccia when he was building Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, even though he had never been there. I visited Cappadocia when I was going to high school in Turkey and I was amazed by the beauty of this historical site at that time. Then, I moved to Spain for my work and had a chance to live in Barcelona for 6 years. During that time, I visited Sagrada Familia many times, at the very first time of my visit I was already speechless with this tremendous art work. Then, whenever I've got a chance I've visited it(from outside mostly since the entrance was not free) and one day the structure reminded me Cappadocia. I was really impressed and wanted to check it on Internet. However, could not get a much information back then. Then I thought it was my own idea to make.a similarity in between them. Anyways, in 2018 I've had a chance to travel Barcelona this time as a tourist and spent my 2 hours for here again. At that time, I wanted check it on Google again to see something and luckily I came across a video called 'Alquibla - Gaudí en Capadocia' which had been filmed in 1989 and was stating that Gaudi had lots of inspiration from Cappadocia even though he had never been there. Just wanted to share with you. :) You can google it to see more details.
14:43 that is the Hacli Kilise or Cross Church with its 9th century horse-shoe shaped apse adorned with colourful frescoes. Wow! I still remember this place so well like it was only yesterday when it was actually more than a decade ago when I hiked from Goreme to Cavusin passing by all those wonderful valleys you have beautifully captured on this video. Nice work Chris and Marianne. I really love your channel. Take care you both. You deserve more subscribers, seriously.

Fair play to you both for hiking it all. We had a car and driver to take us around but we we didn't have that much time there as we were flying on to Istanbul. Thanks for bringing back the memories and sharing your journey with us all.

Yes it was! - It was super far !! and 4 hours in total - I think I lost a stone in weight and felt like an athlete the next day LOL !! but it was worth it to be able to share this magnificent place 😉💜💐
Great video. What a fascinating place. Sad to say I can't help thinking if those cave homes were in UK, they would be covered in graffiti and full of litter. What a great example of how people should appreciate these historic sites. Until I started following you guys, I wouldn't have put Turkey on my must visit list. Now I'm inspired.
Hey guys, congrats .. You met the hottest time of Cappadocia... :) The best time of Cappodacia is the spring and fall months.. That must have been amazing to hike around millennia-old structures & dwellings! Those giant cracks in the church with the frescoes sure caught my eye. Did your guides speak to their cause or age? You two looked very warm 😓😓😓 -- it was a bit of a relief to see you both back at Trudy! Slow & steady wind the race, eh? That, plus litres & litres of water! 😉 😎👍
It was a tough one .. but it is something I would do again !! it was fabulous and the experience is something that we will remember forever 🙏😉👍 There is so much information - I do feel that if is one i would recommend reading up more about - it has so much history that our 20 + min video could not do it justice 💐

Hi - no we were both office workers, and come from the south of the UK - so our accents are not so strong. We meet lots of people who are learning English and we always consider them when we talk - as it is helpful 💜💐👏. Thank you for your kind message

Hey guys another great video,. Infact I've been catching up on some of your earlier vids, in particular your prep back in the UK. I must be honest when I first following you I found your "Oh you still there" at the end of you vids a bit anomalous, but now I love it and actually look forward to it. BTW, Turkey is Defo on my hit list for next year, after seeing the exiting places you have found. Keep safe, CVD :-)
