Wrong. Cappadonna came out of prison in 95 while Raekwon’s Only Built 4 Cuban Linx was being recorded. Cappa’s first appearance on record was on that album (on “Ice Cream” and “Ice Water”). His next appearance was on Ghostface Killah’s Ironman album (this song is one of the many in which he appeared). Cappa grew up with Method Man, Raekwon, Inspectah Deck, and U-God in the Park Hill (a.k.a. Killa Hills) section of Staten Island, NYC. He would have been one of the original members of the Clan if it wasn’t for the fact that he was incarcerated at the time of the Clan’s debut.

man you young kids will never know how dope this era was. being a teenager in the 90's was the best time of my life. I would have never imagined in a million years that hip hop would end up the way it is now. I remember how dope it was wearing baggy jeans, polo, nautica, tommy hill, jerseys, timberland boots !!! picking up a copy of the source magazine or XXL. Buying CD's. Coming to school with graffiti on your back pack. You would listen to music and be amazed by the talent, back then you really had to spit some dope shit to make it. This is one of U-God's best verses! "Hear the moans of Al Capone" was and still a fire bar! Usually Deck bats lead off on Clan cuts but U-God takes lead on this Clan classic. He gives RZA lotta props in his verse for crafting this sick beat! I think this may have been Masta Killa's 3rd or 4th verse ever and he goes on a punchline spree, unlike his other darts. His lyrics are super visual like an action flick is being narrated. Then Cap loses his fuggin' mind and shows everyone why the Wu was waiting for him to come, leave his security job and start throwing darts on wax with them. "Staten Island's best, fxxk what you hear!" RZA made sure that was in the Wu show with the character in the jail rec room. Not sure if he was foreshadowing Cap or making sure Cap was getting some rep in the tv show with that crazy boast.
