Lovely fresh salad! Regarding the Pesto. I purchase the large plastic container at Cost Co. I freeze the entire jar in my freezer and it is pretty easy to scoop out what I need as I need some. Never goes to waste! I learned this from the comment section here on RU-vid.

Who pronounces it that way? Perhaps Americans, just as they also pronounce other Italian words in their own way. ;) “ Caprese” is an Italian word and must be pronounced in an original way. “Capris”, among other things, it doesn't even sound Italian.
Why are some of y’all bothered 😭 Sorry, I must have skipped the day of my mandated Italian class at my American school when we were going over how to pronounce “caprese.” Always grateful for Laura’s channel for exposing me to Italian words and not being so condescending about it. You learn something new every day.

How much pasta will you use for this salad if you’re having 36 people? I’m making it for 30 on Thursday and got three pounds of orecchiette. Maybe will do 2 boxes only. It’s being served with a few other dishes.
"Orzo" is a type of pasta that is too small. Here in Italy, no one makes Caprese pasta salad with pasta-orzo. With pasta-orzo (which we call “Pastina”) we make pasta in broth. For Caprese pasta salad you could also use “Farfalle”.
