I like to call you a paper doll because you wear hundreds of stylish outfits beautifully! I've watched all your videos and you never cease to amaze. Believe me, I watch several good stylists but your'e the best out here, girl! Keep inspiring 💗😊
@@AlyssaBeltempo I love your outfits and your work but the problem for me is the size! I'm a super curvy. could you maybe try to style someone else wardrobe and give some suggestion to us curvy people? I found some interesting suggestion in your video but for example I can't tuck the hem of my sweater in my jeans because I simply can't! Hope you could understand my english, bye from genova!
Thank you 🙏 this Wardrobe is perfect for me. And now that I am finally losing weight by intermittent fasting I can look better in these types of clothes and a little more “French”😉🥰
Ciao Alyssa! It seems that no matter how old your videos are, they continue to be timeless and seasonless. Loved this video as it helps to start a minimal capsule for all seasons. Love love love you! 🥰 XOXO
Can I choose a single favorite? No, because I love them all. And, truth be told...I've watched most of your videos many, many times to pick up the the subtleties of the look(s). I'm hooked!
Loved your tips. Hi from Nanaimo, BC. My best tip is to shop in smaller out of the way thrift stores especially ones that are connected to a hospice. They have such random stuff and much lower prices.
Love watching you dance and goof about making fun of the process and not taking it all too seriously....Sending hugs and hoping things are getting a bit better for you...your attitude is everything in life and you have such a bubbly, happy and enthusiastic sense of things - it will sustain you honey...Big Hugs
Thank you Dina I really appreciate the encouragement and kind comment:) It means so much and I'm so glad you are still enjoying these videos. Thank you so much for watching and sending hugs right back xx
Nice video. You hit it with the long sleeved t-shirt. It works very well under a crew neck sweater or long sleeved shirt in the winter for me in Illinois. The med denim jean is very good for summer and a dark indigo jean is very versatile with sweaters in the colder months here.
I enjoy that your recommendations are realistic, mixing "old" foundation pieces with ethical (and affordable) ones. And, yes, having nude undergarments is key. Thank you, Alyssa.
I will have to meet with some people in the corporate world in the near future (yuck) and one of the BEST investments was the Nordgreen watch; it's timeless, no pun intended, elegant and unpretentious and the company is definitely one I would invest in due to their eco track record. So agree with everything you wrote, helped me enormously. I wrote elsewhere that I actually booked a fitting in my city so undergarments ... don't even know they're there and everything fits as it should. However, everyone should know a tailor or dressmaker unless you're fabulously wealthy (that would not be me) and can have everything made for you lol.
I loved all of these looks! I’m 55 and I always get inspired by your videos to shop in my closet and recreate your looks! You are such an elegant and tasteful girl with a happy and positive outlook!!!
Awesome as usual Alyssa. Love that we see your staple pieces over and over again, yet they always look “new” and chic! Ive found that a “boxy” button down shirt can be made more flattering by putting two darts in the back. I need this as a very “column” shaped, straight up and down gal. I know you have lots of Italian DNA.....style leaders of the world!
Hi Jennifer! Thank you for the kind comment:) And you're absolutely right, in my accompanying blog post to this video I talk about getting darts added to mens shirts for a flattering button down fit! It's a great trick! Thanks for wtaching! xx
Alyssa Beltempo Yes, i agree with you, with new subscribers you need to do another, but for those of us who have watched your previous capsule videos, it’s also a lovely reminder of how much you can create with so little. And that’s what your channel is all about!
Thanks so much Alyssa for all the creative fun and inspiration. I am a very different body type to you but you still motivate me to experiment and enjoy my clothes instead of hiding behind them! Grazie mille 😀
Wow! Great job, Alyssa. This just proves that you don't have to have a large wardrobe to create timeless AND stylish outfits. I love the idea of a capsule collection...thanks for the inspiration!
I enjoy your videos! And i like that you usually drink a cup of tee or coffee while filming your videos instead acting like you are a princess or a super important person - if that makes sense 😁 Thank you for that. You are a cool, stylish and down to earth influencer!
Thank you for another video full of useful tips Alyssa! I use it when I travel. A minimalist at home, I will never be. Hehehe! Still decluttering my closet. Keeping pieces I like to wear. Making sure I buy pieces I intend to wear multiple times. Being more conscious what I add to my wardrobe. Still looking for the perfect button down dress. Bonne semaine ma chère Alyssa. Bisous!
I think that's what it's all about Jeannette! Being more mindful and knowing what works for you :) I hope you're having a wonderful weekend and big hugs for the week ahead xx
I so look forward to your videos, Alyssa. This one is genius. I've got plenty of basics but I'm always inspired by your choices. You do this with humor, style and authenticity. Keep up the great work!
Alyssa. Wow! It absolutely looks impossible to pull such a variety from those few pieces. If I did not see it done with my own eyes, I would not have believed the variety. I watched twice already to believe you actually did this many looks. lol. You pulled a fast one with that dress: A button down dress can be used as a duster: great to know. Also, I am glad to be informed that tencel is plant based. I did not know that, for some reason. A black and white bag is so fresh and versatile. I am now on a lookout, or I can tie a black and white scarf to my current black bag, until then (wow...I will also be a genius like you soon. :) . I have to say, that the tan belt and bag and shoes look very expensive together: another goal for me. I do not understand why that scarf does so much good works. maybe it is that touch of red in that scarf. Fantastic.
Hi Michelle! Yes - to me cognac is a colour that instantly adds "expensive" to a look! You are so kind with your comments I really appreciate it and am so glad you discovered some new outfit combos. Thank you so much for watching! xx
Always a pleasure to watch you do your magic. I think you would look amazing in a modern pair of high waisted wide leg trousers... They'll fit nicely in your capsule. 💕😍
Love it. I'm going to copy every outfit for work the next couple weeks. This vid. is priceless. I'm saving this one. Thank you Alyssa. You're a genius.
Love these looks ❤️. I earned that I could use a turtleneck inside a shirt dress as a layering piece. I have a couple shirt dresses that have a pretty deep V neck and I always wondered how to wear them without flashing 😆 or with just a simple cami. Turtleneck solves the problem and also makes it wearable in autumn time ! Yay 💕
Wonderful! Loved the lookbook and the explanation. Great color palette and...I wish I'd been counting all the looks, there were so many! Well done! Thanks also for showing us the styling hack for the "tucked in" or "cropped" sweater-with-dress -- just blouse it over a belt. Brilliant! Thanks again!
When my Papa was alive he had his shoes handmade in Bologna; we had a house on the Istrian coast and it was a yearly pilgrimage. He favoured I think you'd call it Oxblood. He used to say: I'm a handsome man because my wife dresses me so well, wonderful Dad much missed. Many of my boyfriends growing up were a lot taller than I was so I developed a Kathryn Hepburn complex wanted to be eye to eye .. oy vey, the high heels messed up my feet BIG TIME best advice; be beautiful of course but wear shoes you can actually walk in! Seriously!!!
I love all the basics......and I love cotton anything......and then I love statement fun pieces and I am not talking wacky or anything....just gorgeous pieces I have collected over time...have a good day always love watching your videos
Sunday is always great because we get a new video. Versatile basics are so important! I would be very interested in a video on comfy and ethical lounge and sleepwear, or even a shop your closet for elevated loungewear? Thanks!
Hi Alyssa, This vid was so incredibly good. I always enjoy your videos but this one I thought was one of the best - especially in terms of making the most out of the wardrobe. It was amazing how you got endless - well, what seemed like endless outfits out of those few pieces. I'm totally convinced now that capsule wardrobes are the way to go. xo, Sue
The best capsule wardrobe video I've ever seen! Amazing what you've done with so few pieces! I'm a "pants and jeans" person, but I'm going to start looking for a dress and also a blazer! Thanks so much!
I love your videos and your eye for little tricks that made basics look so interesting :) the best thing is that I can go back to them after weeks, months or even longer and the content is still current and I find so much inspiration in your work here ❤
This would be a perfect travel wardrobe for Europe! You’d always be well dressed and comfortable. Thanks so much for styling these basic pieces in such interesting and varied ways!
I loved the lookbook! The split-screen style was pulled off really well! Lots of little details in how you put these outfits together. I especially loved the belted sweater over the dress to make it look tucked in. Your style is much more minimal and sporty than mine, but I always feel like I pick up so many useful styling tips. Loving the info on sustainable brands, too! I'll be checking out Organic Basics soon.
Perfect timing. I really need to replace my white and black sleeveless tanks but I am trying to get away from going to fast fashion places. I am going to check out Organic Basics. And, can I just say the way you styled the scarf was just perfect. It looked so perfect on you every time!
Question for you Alyssa....Would you mind sometime doing a styling video for plus sized body types? I'm a size 14 and would love to tap into your style knowledge as to how to use similar styles that suit a bustier chest or tummy issues. I always love how you put things together, but sometimes feel like they are styled for a smaller woman. A video styling a plus sized woman would be so awesome! As always though, thanks so much for the inspiration! :)
Yes!! This is such a great request and I need to find a model :) I have a shop your closet video with a different body type coming up in the new year and would love to work on making your request happen!
@@AlyssaBeltempo Oh that sounds exciting! I will watch for the shop-your-closet video for sure! I also sent you an email. ;) Thanks again and Merry Christmas!
Thank you for the great ideas and the eco-friendly options! I'm mid-30s and my style has naturally evolved to something similar to yours, so this gives me a lot of food for thought! I am totally loving the chunky sweater tucked into skinnier jeans this winter. It's been my uniform since early November :)
Hi Jennifer! I'm so glad you liked those options - and yes, I've been on the chunky sweater over skinnies train for a while too! Thanks for watching xx
Great timeless capsule! I'm stealing the styling hack of how you belted the sweater over the shirt dress. Love these timeless capsules! I'm moving all my new basics purchases to organic brands. So far I only tried Pact and really like them. Wil check out Organic Basics. ❤
yes!! Thought I would show that little trick :) I am slowly trying to do the same whenever I can't find something secondhand - I have been so pleased with Organic Basics so far :) Thanks for watching Michele!
Just found you --- love, love, LOVE your sense of style, the outfits you created and your energy! So many great ideas that I am going to try. Thank you for pulling together so many fantastic looks for those of us in colder climates for the next few months! Looking forward to future videos!
If I were narrowing down my winter capsule down to a dozen items I would choose the following: black slim-straight jeans, dark straight jeans, mid-light slim jeans, cream twill trucker jacket, white/tan vertical stripe button-up, cream with navy print short sleeve button-up, cream turtleneck sweater, gray turtleneck sweater, coke-bottle-green mock-neck sweater, black crew-neck sweater, caramel crew-neck sweater, and my oatmeal/navy breton crew-neck cashmere. The only things that I would avoid pairing are the two striped pieces. Just add in a couple of belts, my sabahs, and a pair of boots! This is probably what I will pack for my trip back to the east coast for the holidays with the addition of a thicker coat.
Hi Alyssa, I love how you combined the basics and made them look chic! The thing I often struggle with is a belt. How do you tie yours that you can wear it low (on your jeans) and also high around your waist? Have you made more holes in it maybe?
What a wonderful reminder of the many outfits you can style with just a few basics! Love the look book and I will check out organic basics for Christmas gift ideas. I have seen their website but never bought anything before. Love the white long sleeve you were wearing!
