Hollywood loves replacing actors and rebooting. As shitty as it is, with jack out of the films its entirely possible. Hopefully the new sea of thieves crossover resparks disneys interest in him
So basically, Johnny created Jack Sparrow and Disney fired him anyways...I understand now why he said that he will never play Jack again. He felt betrayed by his own "family" when he needed help. This is heart-breaking honestly.
I truly hope he sues Disney. He's innocent until proven guilty. My husband went through this and it truly aged him. When someone is a abused and the courts help the abuser, it's VERY HORRIFIC TO NOT BE BELIEVED EVEN WITH EVIDENCE. I grew up with a dad who was the devil himself. I thought he would kill me everyday for 12 yrs. If Jonny had stayed with her she would have killed him.
@@barbaraparks98 unfortunately, real justice is rare in this life. In the distance past, when someone did as AH did they would've been banished or executed. Personally, I'm all for public stoning in this case.
Corporations. Me too. Politics. Yeah. Well...thats moot now. Hire him back. A new pirates movie with Johnny would bust records. Have him get beat up by an evil maiden.
@@barbaraparks98 Cant blame Disney either. I’m sure they felt the pressure of the public back then. Cancel culture was rampage back then. The “me too” movement was so big and it overshadowed Johnny’s truth.
Six hats. Johnny usually knows what he wants almost immediately. P.S. I love the voice if the costume designer, and whenever the female barristers were talking during the trial I would hear her voice, lol.
After watching this you can really understand how much captain Jack sparrow meant to Johnny, the little things from the jewelry to the sword to the belt buckle. He really did put himself into Jack. So i can understand the hurt and heartache that he would feel when Disney fired him, it was probably akin to losing a family member.
My ex-husband (but FRIEND) was a Depp/Sparrow impersonator, and boy howdy, did he ever look GOOD!! Seriously! He even fooled the fans, the media, and the director of the 4th Pirates movie at its Black Carpet celebration - and yes, I CAN prove it! 😊❤️
Johnny was almost fully responsible for making Jack Sparrow into what we know. Jack wasn't added into the first movie until very late drafts, and the Jack they had in mind was very boring compared to what we got. Johnny heavily took the reigns on the character.
@@themoldysausage wow thanks for the tid bits, so i can't believe them not going forth with him into what we all want to see, the biopic of Captain Jack his early pirating
Johnny is really involved in creating the character. like lone ranger Tonto he was involved in make-up creation. that is a sign of an artist. Johnny is an artist not just actor. love Johnny.
I love how authentic the people in the set is. Like they understand and respect Johnny's decisions for Jack Sparrow. They believe it is better to get the originals. Knowing this made me love Pirates more
@@primmoore6232 Indeed, in an interview on the ‘Ellen Show’, he calls it his ‘Jack in a box’ costume because he carries it in a box. Lol. Sadly though, he cannot have nor wear his Jack costume anymore because he’s no longer working with Disney, as he had expressed it directly himself. 😕
@@theboogeyman2590 oh absolutely. A good actor brings a character to life through them almost like a vessel. It almost becomes a second personality. The better the actor, the more real the character, the more real the character the harder it is strip that character from reality.
Johnny Depp owns Jack Sparrow, not Disney. It must have been heartbreaking for Depp to have to give him up. No one else should play him. Disney should sincerely apologize and get JD back. We all lose if Depp does not resume this character. So much of Jack Sparrow is Johnny Depp himself. He will always be remembered as this pirate - the role fit Depp's mercurial character perfectly. His defining role. I'm blown away by the detail of his accessories. I've come to really like Johnny Depp during this trial. He's a decent and very artistic man.
I think Johnny really enjoyed being Jack and he must miss it alot after playing him for so long. They always look like they are having so much fun making these movies.
well not the actress keira knightley , she quit from this franchise and there is a behind the scenes footage she didnt seem too happy in the set somehow for whatever reason :/ johnny tho, i think he was happy indeed.
Being a costume designer....love this. I have done hair, wigs, makeup, etc. I have done props. I love all these ideas. This is one of the best with stories that go with it, inside the story line of the script. So, nobody else could ever be Jack Sparrow.
Imagine you make a gun in the 1700s and it ends up in a movie hundreds of years later that probably more people have seen than existed in the world at the time. This is when they still made movies right.
It's funny. Realistically you know that a lot goes into the costumes and makeup, but hearing the artists and seeing the work in progress takes it to a whole new level. Hunting around Turkey for a specific fabric maker? Just, wow!
I have often who daily cares for and cleans each worn costume. Maybe the costume designer cares for the costumes from mind thoughts until the final "CUT & PRINT". I watched this video clip 3 separate times. Another interview on the trial witness stand; Johnny stated that in one movie it required 3 hours to put his face on and 11/2 hours to remove it all. Johnny is really very dedicated to his craft.
Watching a interview with Johnny Depp shows how humble he is. He always gives credit do to all he works with. He seems to never give credit to his own, Characters. And he's awesome to. You can tell I just love him.
Man. I know he’s said he wouldn’t ever do another Pirates movie. But, I am really crossing my fingers that he can make peace with Disney just for the fans.
If they're making Pirates 6, I really hope we get the old Jack back. Shouldn't be a problem, now that he is free of that succubus that is Amber Heard! You could really tell how the violence and the psychological abuse effected his work on the 5th film!
This behind the scenes/getting into character video is great. I'm so heartbroken for what this absolute angel of a man is currently going through. Potc won't be potc without johnny. If he's not in the new one I WIIL NOT SUPPORT IT!!!!!!
I Agree 💯%!!!! There is ABSOLUTELY NO POTC, WITHOUT JOHNNY DEPP PLAYING CAPTAIN JACK SPARROW...!!!! OR IF HE IS NOT EVEN IN THE MOVIE...?!? WHAT'S EVEN THE PURPOSE, OF MAKING A POTC...?!?⚓❤❤❤
I absolutely love Depp's quirkiness. He's a lot of fun and enjoys anything whimsical...it appears. He probably owns a private home fashioned like the black pearl, where he goes off to escape for peace and solitude.
This was absolutely fascinating ! I had no idea what lengths these people went to, to obtain the perfect pieces for JS costumes...even sending someone to Turkey to get a certain fabric from tribal people in the mountain for a sash. Amazing.
I APPRECIATE #JohnnyDepp being honest about being a method actor and living with all the characters he played over the years that remain with him subconsciously after a film. I think it's like having split personality that can emerge at any particular time.
Thanks for your wonderful comment I do appreciate your support, you sound so nice and I would like to relate with you if I can trust you message me +1 (810) 373‑2556
You know it's really cool because Johnny had to wear an eye patch when he was a kid and then he grew up to be the most famous pirate ever !! Love him ❤ 💕 He can play any character and he is so easy to believe, watching him turn into all these characters blows my mind !! I love you Johnny !! 😎❣
No one else could play the part of Captain Jack Sparrow Johnny Depp is Captain Jack Sparrow he brought that character to life it's him it's his personality no one else can play that part it's impossible
always loved the costume johnny wore as jack sparrow. i think it’s one of the things that actually drew me to the movie as a kid. it’s so nostalgic seeing it again now
Johnny was really instrumental in creating this franchise, he wasn't just a pretty face to put in the costume, this is really his creative vision, and you can tell these people like working with him, he isn't some diva. Same thing with Kevin Smith on Tusk, he always brings something new to his roles that both bolster the character and the film and also brings an understanding of the character that can't be replaced. Hopefully he gets his career back though I understand he is done with Disney and WB.
IMO, Johnny was able to become Captain Jack, as a way to hide himself. Trauma/tragedy in his life became triumph. I have a bully dog, who’s named Captain Jack lol. He would be a great sidekick for the REAL Captain Jack Sparrow lol. He’s 85 lbs of sweetness ❤️
I really loved the idea that every little piece of Jack's outfit (could've) told it's own story. One thing that I didn't like about 5th movie was that this idea was basiclly destroyed, because movie suggested that Jack got those items as tribute from his sailors (meaning sailors had great stories to tell how they got them) instead of being trophies of Jack's own adventures.
I noticed something actually. In nom 2 Tia Dalma states when he's in her shack "the compass you bartered from me, it cannot lead you to this" Then in nom 5 it's shown as a tribute in the flashback. Makes no sense
I have no words left for bloody Amber Heard who single handedly took away from all of us the greatest opportunity to watch Johnny as Jack Sparrow again on screen! My heart breaks! 😢
Watch anything with Johnny dressed as captain jack especially him going to see people in hospitals and that's all it takes to know nothing that amber turd says could ever be true, jonny is such a sweet guy he literally is so humble and kind and caring and just amazing, keep going strong jonny we got your back! We will get Justice one day! #justiceforjohnnydepp #jonnydeppcrew4life #captainjacksparrowcrew4life
The part where Captain Jack Sparrow was about to be roasted on Cannibal Island I was laughing so hard, the funniest thing I’ve seen in a very long time, I had to watch it a few times. And when all the fruit is being thrown on the spit he’s tied too….ah so so clever and hilarious 😂
This was fantastic! Thank you so much for sharing! There could never be another to play Jack Sparrow. Johnny created Jack, and Disney took that away from him AND the fans. I will not be interested in any more Pirates of the Caribbean movies if Johnny Depp is not involved. You hear bits and pieces.. maybe he will return, and Disney wants him back.. but that bridge was burned when they fired him prematurely without getting any of the facts. Captain Jack Sparrow was a huge part of Johnny Depp, and it really hurt him to be cut down so quickly over a bunch of lies. I don’t blame him for not wanting to ever go back to Disney. I love Johnny as an actor, but also for the kind and compassionate man he is!
"You kind of wonder... will I ever be me again?" I've said for years that living with and acting as Hunter S Thompson changed Johnny forever. I feel like he always lives with a part of HST inside of him now.... and that's a beautiful thing.
It is so interesting to see all of this. I'm so glad someone made these videos! My daughter works for a theater and she's the costume designer's assistant for a couple of the shows. Can't wait to show these videos to her!! The costume designer for these movies does a spectacular job, as do the props people!
Something about Johnny D that is fantastically real and simple, yet honest, and sophisticated. He is completely hysterical to watch and will have me cheering for him! God Bless ya JD!
So basically, Every since thing about Jack Sparrow was created by Johnny Depp. From his head to his toes has a story to add to his character. From things, beads, make up, jacket and hat. So only Johnny Depp can and should be the only person playing CAPTAIN JACK SPARROW. ITS HIS AND HIS ALONE. HE MAKES JACK COME TO LIFE.
It's funny that as a practical-minded designer, it was hard to convince Johnny Depp to try other boots or wear other jackets and what not once he wore the first ones. I can imagine, for such a momentous film , how much sentimental value the first costumes must have had.
As I was watching this video my heart was hurting for Johnny. Every detail in bringing Captain Jack Sparrow alive on screen Johnny participated. From the pirate hat to the sash on his waist. The trinkets in his braided locks was an idea of Johnny's. He said every time he saw Keith Richards he had added a new interesting object into his hair. He breathed life into Jack Sparrow. Jack Sparrow is every part of Johnny. I so wish we could turn back time and the years 2010-2016 - Johnny's life story could have been so different. Life can be cruel and we sometimes make decisions that change the trajectory of our life. Johnny fell in love with a women who was beautiful to look at but was rotten and ugly in the inside. I sometimes do not understand how he did not see the warnings signs of this wretched woman. Love is certainly blind. The heart deceives us. I just hate the fact that Disney shunned Johnny and did not stand by him. Like Johnny so eloquently stated: "When there is an injustice done to someone you love, don't sit down, stand up, because they need you. I weep for Johnny because Captain Jack Sparrow was his pride and joy. He can still be Captain Jack Sparrow for his relatives and very ill children but it is not the same as seeing our beautiful, handsome, amazing Captain Jack Sparrow on the silver screen.
Only in Pirates 5 their story of how he came into possession of the compass is wrong. They didn't do their homework, because if you remember, in Pirates 2 when Captain Jack goes to see Tia Dalma about finding the key he had a drawing of she says "The compass you bartered from me...", and in Pirates 5 they gave some other story on how it came into his possession.
We really do need another Pirates ☠ of the Carribean. I understand why JD doesn't want to, but omw we would be so happy if he changed his mind. Its so amazing how each member on the set puts so much heart and soul into the making of these movies. I think they're probably so successful because everyone seems to be having so much fun. Must be so awesome to work on these sets.
