As a rap nerd aware of most hip-hop classics from the 80s to the 90s to the 21st century, including everything going on rn.. I mean, I listened to TONS of hip-hop tracks.. but still, this song right here remains an absolute favorite, top10 of all time

He’s saying that while other rappers may be going in hard, they’re also stale like stale bread, but Earl with his vernacular and crazy beats is going “artisan”, meaning both like artistic and artisan bread which is expensive and not stale.
