Shadow Company soldier: These guys are predictable Also shadow company soldier: GRENADE GET THE FUCK OUTTA THERE!!! *gets his own grenade yeeted at him*
I remember being like “there's no way two of them just cleared an entire US base and returned alive” until Alex Mason massacred an entire Spetsnaz base on his own while HALLUCINATING
When I was younger and played this, I didn't really listen to Price's recorded message about history written by the victors. But now as an adult that is such a powerful message, perhaps THE most powerful in MW2
Finished MW3 2023, it was shit, down to the last minute detail, came here to see what happened to COD, this was a masterpiece, now they don't make stories like this anymore
Man, so many franchises have just gone down the fucking drain recently. It’s like people have stopped putting any effort or care into these productions.
This is Sledgehammer fault. Infinity Ward made this game called Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 2009. Among other great games like Call of Duty4 Modern Warfare 2007, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 2011, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2019, and a somewhat decent game which is Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 2022. Now the reason why it is sledgehammer is because they ruined what Infinity Ward has built for the rebooted series. All by creating a horrible game called Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 2023.
6:32 Disciple Six: "Not possible. We just cleared that area. Nobody's that good Oxi-" Shepherd: "It's Price." lmaoo even Shepherd knows how much of a badass cpt price really is
I don't know why but at the end when Nikolai arrived it gave me so much Ghost and Roach's death vibes.. Nikolai came exactly like Shephard did...I just dunno why both of the scenes just look so similar at the end I thought Nikolai would betray us just like Shephard
the whole MW saga is insanely good. Multiplayerwise MW1 is the best, singleplayerwise MW2 secured spot n.1. But also MW3 has left a mark on my heart when soap died. :( RIP
i miss the old knife animation, where soap would so skillfully flip it the other way around to throw it, now it like he is bored, (totally not the fact that he is dying)
I'm 23 years old almost 24 and I miss the days when was a teenager playing modern warfare on my ps3. I really had pleasure playing these games with magnific stories.
Indeed...Also when cod campaigns were actual quality. The new re-imagine of mw is great but the second one with shepherd just doesn't hold the same stakes. I like the new ghost and price and soap a lot but there isn't any real threat to any of them. Shepherd burning his bridges was easy to see as day. It was basically a giant red icon on his forehead once we see how he reacted with the missile on the rig and the missile found in the warehouse mission. Graves and the others took pity on 141 and bargained to let them off and walk away even when shepherd clearly wanted them gone in the first part. 141 suffered no loss and shepherd was not one of the key factors in kickstarting a major conflict. He was just a normal general supplying allies, like real life goes on. Transport was botched, they did a cover up. You have no real reason to want the new shepherd gone or to pay for what he has done except for the fact he tried to get rid of the guys you play as to save his ass...It seems more of a selfish decision this time since he wouldn't have been harshly punished if truth got out....compared to the og MW where on the DSM TF141 would know who was inside that airport and why allen was there in the first place.....
well in retropect, hangin makarov in MW3 felt better because he was the cause of the 30k dead marines, which made general sheppard turn on his own most trusted
7:11 "Terminate with extreme prejudice", The instructions from Shadow Company HQ to "Terminate with extreme prejudice" is a reference to Captain Willard's mission in the 1979 movie Apocalypse Now.
These two missions, “Just Like Old Times” especially, are among my favorites in all of COD. The stealthy infiltrating of a private army alone is excellent, but the way it reveals Gen. Shepherd’s true character without you even seeing him is fantastic. -Codename: “Gold Eagle,” possibly the most faux patriotic, egotistical codename you could give yourself. -“It’s Price. Backup priority items and burn the rest:” he genuinely fears Price and throws his army at him while fleeing, but still believes he will lose Hotel Bravo, and that Price is determined and powerful enough to reach him -Views everyone as expendable, willing to call in a “Danger Close” strike in a last ditch effort to kill Price. The gall to halfheartedly tell his remaining soldiers “if you’re still inside, you’re service will be honored” when blowing the place as if they would actually believe that, being part of his inner circle. Phenomenal level. Also on a side note, I think the voice acting for the various Shadow Company soldiers is perfect. Even just through radio chatter there’s a sinister, venomous quality to each of them, as though they each could be a unique villain.
"I've seen these tactics before. These guys are SAS " I LOVE THAT PART! The fact that they're the one's with the numbers and better gear and yet are still being shredded by only 2 guys puts things into perspective. I've only seen badassary like this only once before a long time ago...
There American PMC what do you expect. Shadow company sucked then and they suck now, but this time the Brits and Mexicans beat them. Makes me wonder how the Americans beat the British so many years ago mate.
Am 14 and just finished the remastered ver , always ignored cod games and thought they were trash , but after playing mw and mw2 , my mind has changed , gonna play mw3 , waw , black ops 1 and 2 , cod wwii
I think this one comes on third. 1st is and you´ll agree with me, the Chernobyl Sniper mission. Second would be Makarov´s safehouse. This one comes in a solid third.
Well it's all opinion based and honestly all the replies have great opinions. All the missions yall have named are ICONIC. But I'd agree that either this mission "Endgame" or All Ghillied Up are my personal favs.
Billy Bob basically these are Americans but there hired privately so there not officially American soldiers like Ramirez who is rangers these guys are mercenaries.
This game was my childhood. One of the greatest video games ever made without a doubt. The voice acting, soundtrack, gameplay, story and special ops mode. This was as good as it got in a COD game.
And that melody is a darker twist from the ending from Modern Warfare 1 (when Kamarov and company manage to rescue Soap). (Although that theme plays a bit earlier in "Sins of the Father.")
Freakin love this. Loved it on XB360, now with next-gen graphics?!! Makes this cult classic that much better. Absolutely can't beat the 19.99 pricetag. Highly recommend this remastered edition for any C.O.D fan. Hooah. Over and out.
Soap: Price... Price? Price: The healthy human mind... Soap: Bloody hell... are you kidding me, Price?! You're doing this again? It's been a few years since we've talked about this, and you're doing it again?
@AlCeeProd. V2 you clearly have never seen people with advanced or even just decent knife/hand to hand skills if you think that the spin is dangerous or unrealistic lmao
I think Nikolai in this remaster is closer to the old MW1 model of Nikolai, but didn't they make his MW1 remastered character look like the old MW2 Nikolai? Seems kinda strange to switch it again
Juan Hudinie I tend to disagree. I think it’s good that they gave Nikolai more of a role and more character in the new MW. And this is coming from someone who’s favorite campaign is MW2
@@ThatsJustMid I don't know. Their depiction of Nikoli is bad but I think Nikolai looks pretty damn good. Wish they would improve Nikoli just like Nikolai.
@@oriond34 I'm not gonna spoil it further. you will get what I mean. the people that like it understand the references from the game. and yes I played the reboot mw 2019. soap haven't appeared yet.
Oriond34 Mega The new modern warfare is not canon it has nothing to do with the first 3 But that line “This is for Soap” is iconic Line and is used in the last mission mw3 That concludes the canon story
I know player ratings for the game had to be taken into account, but when the HQ comms for Shadow Company says "Disciple Nine, your rearguard just flatlined" I would've loved to hear "Your rear guard fucked up and got fucked!"
They better do a MW3 remaster and god damn it bring back the multiplayer for fuck sales!!! The end mission always and still to this day gives me goosebumps
The remastered version is spot on how a modern game should look like but with the original game identity intact. One could wish however that the multiplayer was released as well with the remaster, but with a more balanced gameplay. Such as reducing explosive damage and reducing damage while wielding two weapons at the same time.
The way Soap gets ready to throw the knife is also different. In the old version, he twirls/spins the blade between his fingers. In the remastered version he just lets it drop and flings it upward.
Best cod ever. Idc what anyone says but this game shaped the way for future cod. The original pregame lobby shit talking, the friends you made and the epic Michael Myers matches. I wanna cry
