Hello :) In this video, we leave Barbuda with our boat and sail towards Antigua. We have some bad weather underway, it starts to rain as we get closer to our destination. Lars insists on us sailing through a pretty narrow passage to get to our anchorage, but conditions are not ideal.
We then continue on to Green Island and English Harbour in Antigua!
Thanks so much for following our journey! Hit subscribe if you'd like to support us :)

ABOUT US:
Hello! We're Alex and Lars. We've been living aboard our 37 foot sailboat, Navika for 2.5 years and are sailing full time. We started our journey in the South of France, and sailed around the Mediterranean for 2 years before sailing across the Atlantic at the beginning of 2022. Now we're in the Caribbean and who knows where the wind will blow us to next! Follow along as we document the highs and lows of our life on the water and share the incredible places we get to visit.

One of the best of your vid’s IMHO. 😊. Lots of drama, with rain squalls, choppy seas, threading the needle through treacherous reefs, poop on the leg from above and exploding sourdough. Loved it! And Lars looking vaguely piratical with his beard and moustache. Always fun and inspirational checking in on you. Thanks again!!

You appear to be experiencing a spirit of Wanderlust. On to the next beautiful bay, harbor and other assorted points of interest. Yet often forced around by winds and tides. You seem to be doing fairly well not being driven by Appointments!! Stay safe and I'm getting spoiled by the more frequent videos. Thank you.

Have done that sail a few times, you def took too much of a risk for me. Just too many safety factors were against it, every one increasing the danger and risk of grounding. Wouldn’t recommend it to others. Light/visibility, weather, sea state, shallow/narrow entrance and adding the sailing in element, just is to much. Hope you realised just how lucky you were on that trip. If it went wrong, at least you were just a mile aware from nearest repair yard😀😇

Great video that brings back great memories of sailing the waters of Antigua. Alex: for sea sickness there is a wonderful product call Stugeron. It is sold in pharmacies England and in the island of the former British colonies. The 15mg dosage is for sea and car sickness. No side affects and great results. It is the offshore sailors best friend. I have family and friends load up purchases for me when in London, as it is not sold in the USA.

Hey Ron, ah that's good to know - haven't tried Stugeron yet. I'll try and get my hands on some next time I'm back in the UK!

Swimming at sunset/dusk - too Sharky for me! Have you tried Phenergan (promethazine) for seasickness? It's the only thing that works for me.

Haha I know what you mean somehow everything feels so much more ominous at nightfall 😅 No I haven't tried that yet, thanks for the tip!
