Hi Jetmec. Was this ITV or BBC. I remember seeing this and they were real actors if memory serves me correctly yet due to being a an army brat I only saw two shows then we were shipped out to Germany for a few years then back to the UK and it was not on any more yet I will never forget that voice (this is the voice of the mysterons) lol.

@@Sci-FiCentral Been a fan of Captain Scarlet since the 60s. Have the original series on DVD. Would love to have this series on Blu-ray. Unfortunately, their Blu-rays won't work on my player in the United States. Do you know if and when this series will come out on Blu-rays for Region 1? Or, when you might have all of the current episodes uploaded? Really would like to add them to a video library. Thanks again for what you've done so far.

iirc Thunderbirds Are Go only used real backgrounds, but all characters were cgi

Except shield got the idea from this tv show as it was run in the mid 1960s I remember watching this in the UK with real actors and two white lites.

@@davidhoward5586 I was mostly joking, but if you really want to get technical ... The SHIELD helicarrier first appeared in Marvel's _Strange Tales_ #135 (August 1965). The original _Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons_ didn't premiere until September 29, 1969. Whether Anderson got any inspiration from Marvel is anyone's guess.

Guys you argue for nothing, The idea of airborne aircraft carrier is very old and in reality US Navy used zeppelins to launch bi-wing airplanes from the air in 1930's. So, both shows got their ideas from real attempts that was made towards that direction in the past. Around the same era, Russian had similar projects, as well.

Agreed but at least this animated series was still created and produced the legendary Gerry Anderson!

@@tubawritaguy I agree, each version has its own unique pluses and minuses. It is almost as if the marionettes underwent a Mysteron re-imagining to become the animated version. I don't think my brother or his kid has seen either version. Something tells me the 13 year old and his 58 year old Dad would prefer this version.

@@howardkerr8174 I understand. Still, the facial features of the CGI characters were a bit more realistic. I can't wait for the rest of the series to be uploaded to RU-vid. Can't understand why they won't release a Region 1 DVD/Blu-ray.

This 3D show is much better than modern ones.Facial expressions are definitely better
