I didn’t even know Captain Underpants had a fandom, but out of all the fandoms I’ve seen people use this bit for, I think this is the one that’s the most fitting!
A movie and a Netflix cartoon can very easily build a fandom and I agree, this is EXACTLY the kind of thing George and Harold would (and probably have) do.

This fits SO much because in the first book, Krupp mentions that they rigged the school intercom to play nothing but Weird Al Yankovic for 6 hours STRAIGHT! XD My mom got rid of my Captain Underpants books when I was in Elementary/Middle School, so when Dreamworks made that movie..... CHILDHOOD RESTORED.... and THIS made it even BETTER!
I remember that too! Oh, man! Captain Underpants was my CHILDHOOD!!!… and then I grew up in the interim between Purple Potty People and the next book, so I never finished the series.

I read the captain underpants books as a kid and thought they were the the peak of literature, literally the only books I read, loved em. Nice to see a fandom spawn out of them!
