Captain Xavier Another good video. About the "unnecessary" slot you cut out for the plunger tube... Personally, I think it *was* necessary, though not for the blaster. I really like that- unlike a great many other RU-vid Nerfers- you don't mind mentioning mistakes you make, or things you wish you'd done differently. It makes the rest of us feel a little better (sometimes a LOT better) when we make our own whoopsies if the veteran modders we watch do it, too.
I'm bummed that the grip and rail blocks the gear up signature stripes. Just a thought, but maybe add a couple to the back end beyond where the bolt pin ends? In my humble opinion I think that would balance the whole build out.
I just got my brass breech 'working' in my Gear Up Retalicon. For future reference, it's possible to put Retaliator internals in without shell cutting. Remove the lock tab you mentioned and take the orange ring off of the plunger tube.
About the rail on the top idea: you could scure it by putting screws through the jamdoor... wouldn't be bad cause (as far as i know) all recons have black jamdoors. Perhaps cut the side of the jamdoor away so it still kindda functions as a jamdoor.
Elliott Larsen Now is certainly a good time- the hobby has broken wide open over the last couple years, especially since 3D printers have become more available to the public. The options are literally endless these days! :D
Nice video, cool blaster. I had an original Recon back in the day, not very impressive but I never had many Nerf guns as I sortof dropped out of the hobby in 8th grade. As for the pump grips, it's obviously whatever you're most comfortable with, but as to my personal preferences the vertical grip would be my choice on one of my blasters, had I any anymore.
with this particular pumpkit, i'd probably drill holes in the original slide so i can put it on. the studs, where the metal bar is bolted on, seem to be long enough, so the could stick out through the slide. then there is the rail. but it is moving, so i don't know it that is what you want.
If I were to do a simple brass breech with 9/16 in the stock bolt sliding into 17/32, would that be able to fire half and full length darts? Or would I need/benefit from getting the half dart kit?
+Quindarious Gooch yeah, it is perfectly possible to build your own sealed brass breach but it is a lot more work and it will probably be more prone to jams.
i tried repairing something a while ago, but whenever i put the two halves of the shell back together, the trigger, catch and the locks i kept, pop out and i cant put them back together. help
I just want to point something out. A Lot of videos I watch for the chrono/firing demo parts. I think it should be ALWAYS that you chrono and at least post the data in the video. Before and after would be great for your K26 videos, just an after would be nice for these kind of reviews.
As I have commented using my original account, I am making a HVZ Longshot. The base blaster as suggested by you, will be the zombie strike variant. What is your opinion on the color of Longshot front gun that will be used for the Magnus master key, can I purchase the teal version separately and finally have you found a version of a pump action kit with Picatinny rail on the bottom for monting grips?
they sell long picatinny rails on worker that just fit on the normal Nerf rail so you can put it on the rail on the front of the blaster and have it extend all the way to the back
So I can just put the retaliator barrel in after the half dart modification or you have to remove the internal tube of it ? By the way so helpful and nice vid
I usually leave in mag locks on Retaliators I don't know about recons but I can't stand how easily the slide moves while it's primed with the original priming handle
Damn I wish I didn't cut up my recon to shove a titan in it, mostly because I broke the titan. Now I have a broken titan, a broken recon, and no retalicon. You live and you learn.
this is an old video but what did you do to the barrel to get it to fit over the half-dart barrel? i took the inner barrel out on mine but i was wondering if you could leave it in somehow
@@CaptainXavier huh. when I went to put mine on for the pump kit the inner barrel got stuck on the plastic on the new barrel connector, where it's solid instead of hollowed like the stock ones. Maybe it's just that the recon barrel is different slightly from the retaliator barrel?
im starting to mod my retaliator ever since i opened it can you make a video on how to install the worker pump grip on the retaliator cause i feel like the recon is more different than the retaliator
+Deen Mamat teah. PVC. Cut sone 1/2 PVC the length of the wobbly bits. Then slice it up one side and clip it on. I did it on my Modulus stock. It works great...it just looms a bit janky.
*pssst Take a look at the Thumbnail of the video...in which I have a magazine in the stock. The issue is it is not easy to get out and it only holds a 6
Is there anyway i can send my Recon CS6 to someone who can turn it into a Top Priming Retalicon & Not the Pump Action style Retalicon? My recon jams all darts, Ill Pay to get this done!
I like it you are my fav youtuber and im your biggest fan im a subscriber and i made other accounts to subscribe to you. Good work, plz reply it would be my birthday present😄😅😅
Not having the slide leaves that empty sort of area of just solid orange, AND ARGGHGHH I CANT HANDLE IT PUT SOMETHING THERE PLEASE! The OCD part of me just can’t stand it!
