I just bought Chasing Firefly over the weekend and I love it! You have a great sniffer, I agree that it's not Dahlia and definitely not Fairytale...NO! :)
One reviewer said it smelled liked Fairytale, another said it smelled like bug spray, and another said Dahlia. I’m with you and don’t agree with any of them but everyone else was going along. I always like to draw my conclusions 🤷🏻♀️😂
Oh my goodness, you are hilarious with your "NOOOOOOOO"!! I have some serious FOMO now because I didn't purchase Chasing Fireflies during the $4.95 sale. Grrrrrr, I am a fanatic and buy every single new scent that comes out. I was trying to discipline myself and not purchase anything until Fall. But now I am going through withdrawals, haha. I absolutely love Chasing Fireflies. Fairytale is in my top 5 for sure. I don't find them smelling similar either, but they induce the same kind of vibe and feeling for me. I was trying to find a review from you for Fairytale. I would love to hear your full review and comparison to YSL Libre.
I did order it in my 495 haul and can’t wait to smell it! I did hear about somebody comparing it to Dalia. I actually was kind of hoping it would be since they don’t have Dahlia anymore. Love your green outfit and especially the earrings. 15:54

Mary, I think you’ve found your niche in debunking false scent comparisons. You were the first one I saw who said that Everlasting Magic smelled like a variation on Sugared Cherry Crisp, and now everyone else is saying it too. I love Alien Essence Absolue, but think of it as a gourmandy version of Alien. I didn’t get that from Chasing Fireflies, but I did a quick sniff because I’m trying not to like another fragrance. First of all,you look fantastic in green. Secondly purchased the entire travel set of Chasing Fireflies - always buy 2 creams whenever I get travels - to use on upcoming trips to Carolinas and Florida seeing family. Like you love anything with Jasmine in it so love this scent. One of my co-workers as part of her religion made her life visit to Mecca and gifted me a true Jasmine perfume and an oil. Love love love it.
I got a combo that'll knock your socks off... Blackberries and Basil Mixed with Merry Cookie 😮 For the Fall...smells like Berry Vanilla Ice Cream!!!!!!!❤❤❤❤
I want to get the Julianna's Perfume version so I can save my OG for special. I just ordered Chasing Fireflies, I was so repulsed when I smelled it in store, but they sucked me in with the $5.95 sale. I'm hoping it grows on me.
Love your look 🎉 Chasing Fireflies just doesn’t appeal to me 😮 I arrived at my parents in Canada and am now trying all the goodies I ordered. Plumeria ❤❤❤ into the night ❤❤❤ among the clouds ❤❤❤ sea island shore - brings back so many memories 😂 ❤❤❤ and firecracker pop 💕 I am surprised that I don’t really like sunset glow but my mom does so she gets the whole set 😂 I also got her Fresh Jungle Rain in the mist and body wash as she loves it. Still have to try Love Always Wins but I love the candle so I think it’s a winner. It was like Christmas unpacking all the stuff 😂
Love the look! Green is your color! 😍 I didn’t like Chasing Fireflies at. all. I grabbed it during the sale because “they” said it was similar to Fairytale, which I love. But I had to return it. It was giving “cheap cologne” on my skin & gave me a headache. Nothing like Fairytale (to my nose)

I have a mini in this and to me, its like the pear note in Dahlia ( not a dupe) and the woods note in Sunrise Woods or one of those scents with a woodsy note and I get the jasmine on the dry down in a powdery form. I like that this lasts longer than some of the other sprays lately. Also, get a fresh note. Like in Crisp Morning Air.
I love chasing fireflies… I don’t think that it’s a repackage of anything and it just smells like a high end perfume to me. It smells like perfume on my skin. I really don’t understand the bug spray thing at all.
When i was in store and i first sprayed the mini i initially thought it was fairytale(i was questioning myself) but i was wrong! It is NOT fairytale at all! I agree with you 💯 the dry down on CF has a sultry vibe to it kinda like how into the night is sultry. Im not feeling this one at all. I was hoping to like it but now that everyone is saying it smells like bug spray, thats all i smell now lol ima exchange her for those vanilla's thats gonna be launching for fall 2! Im excited for those 2 vanillas!!
Unfortunately for me I got bugspray too lol. This ones going back. I think everyone smells it differently because I made my boyfriend smell and he says he doesnt get bug spray, so I dont know 🤷🏼♀️ but unfortunately I dont think it's for me. Maybe i will wait for some new release to exchange this for hehehee 😈
I really like this one. I bought the fragrance spray at 5.50 sale this weekend. Yes Canada the prices are higher. It’s a beautiful floral scent. The packaging is so pretty. The next good Body care sale I’m picking up the shower gel and lotion. Does Dossier ship to Canada and do they have Canadian pricing Mary?

Thank you so much for watching! Chasing fireflies does last.... but it's better to layer with the cream. For Ivory cashmere..... try golden sunflower, Poolside cabana from summer, or fresh jungle rain from the spring. I love those combos!
I'm sorry that you did purchase it online based on that rumor-- I can assure that they are not dupes, CF is more powdery than Dahlia. My heart went from soaring high to crashing low until the dry down. Once I got over the initial shock and disappointment -- I found this scent to be beautiful, but not a dupe at all. I do think that I can still use CF with my Dahlia body wash -- maybe the lotion? But CF is not a dupe for Dahlia nor Fairytale.
I loved Chasing Fireflies when I first sprayed it. I mean really loved. Unfortunately, after it dried down it became totally masculine smelling cologne on me... almost like a bug spray type of cologne. Very sad this doesn't stay lovely on my skin :(
Not a fan of this at all. Way too powdery floral and way too similar to dahlia. And it smells like bug spray to me. Even my store manager said that too b4 i even said anything! 😅 Smells like dahlia and fairytale had a baby to me and i dont like either of those either so makes sense i dont like CF.
I smelled this one in store. I immediately put it down. I disliked Chasing Fireflies. There is something in this one that is off putting for me. I love Fairytale and this one is NOTHING like Fairytale. It's a pass for me.
grrrr...i could kick myself for not getting chasing fireflies mist spray last weekend, the only reason i didn't is because i did hear it smelled like Fairytale and i don't like Fairytale. I gave the lotion to my mom. hopefully they will have a mini sale in the future. BTW, you look fabulous!
