This video explores one of the best sites to go crab catching in New York State; Captree State Park, which is one of the Long Island beaches of the Great South Bay, Suffolk County.
We do explore both the northern and southern portions of the park and final look of the catch of the day.

Atlantic Blue Crab (Callinectes sapidus): 6 crabs (Total Weight: ~2 lbs)
Lady Crab (Ovalipes ocellatus): 1 crab
Atlantic Rock Crab (Cancer irroratus)
Japanese/Asian Shore Crab (Hemigrapsus sanguineus)
European Green Crab (Carcinus maenas)
(Both the Japanese Shore and European Green Crabs are invasive species.)
Captree State Park is located on the eastern terminus of the Ocean Parkway and near the southern terminus of Robert Moses Causeway; east of Jones, Gilgo & Oak Beaches, and north of Robert Moses State Park & Fire Island. It is home of "The Captree Fleet", "which comprises between 24 and 28 independently-owned charter boats that are available for fishing, scuba diving, sightseeing and excursion tours. The fleet is the largest public fishing fleet on Long Island" (Wikipedia).
