I did it very differently: Ran the capture process with the output of my soundcard connected direclty to the input, then grabbed the capture file generated, ran it through my DAW with plugins, eq and stuff, then replaced the capture file and ran the training 🙂
@@Foob2TheRI'm using the Audient ID 14 Mk ii and with no extra processing, the capture is pretty accurate to the original. So not sure what is happening with your focusrite.
I tried the same thing originally with less than favorable results. I'm glad it worked for you. Results will probably vary depending on what your using.
I did the same thing, after the capture process, I took the generated file TXMM_Capture.wav, opened it in the DAW, applied the Amplifier Plugin that I want to capture, saved the new WAV following all the properties of the Original, however, the following error occurs in the training : "Error while processing training files. Training will now stop."
How can you have the 2 programs running with same asio? I get an error where the 1st software I open first takes the interface and can't be used in another will running.
Some people says it's not possible to capture withoit an extra gear: "tonex capture" So, that being true you can't capture any plugin only with your pedal and your 3rd party interface.
Hi ! Can this be done to capture Tonex tone models instead of the Neural plugin? I want to use my Tonex presets i made on the Tonex desktop app in IOS Tonex. Unfortunately my desktop app/account does no transfer automatically my presets to the IOS app). Very helpful video, thanks!
I have been having issues with this because I have NeuralDSP and PlychromeDSP plug-ins I wanna take with me. I have a Focusrite Scarlett and a Zoom Livetrak L-8 and the ToneX pedal. Do I need another piece of equipment? Because I keep getting an error message.
Once you have the capture are you able to turn the cab off? Say if you were to plug into a power amp and can live and just use the capture as a preamp, or do I have to do a capture without the cab engaged?
Is it possible to capture kemper profiles with the Tonex do you know? I love my kemper profiles and can’t figure out if I can capture them for my Tonex? Thanks
I would assume it's similar to how you would capture an actual amp rig. Out of your computer via interface into Kemper, back into your computer via interface. You can find some videos out there on how to capture amps, take the same principle but replace amp/microphones with your Kemper. Hope this helps.

@Rose Parade if your doing a capture of your Kemper, you don't need the capture box. You should have an input and output trim on the Kemper. You use that along with the input and outputs on your audio interface to get everything balanced out. Capture box is only for attenuation to a live amp.
Ah ok thank you! Do you know what output should I come out from of the Kemper? I’m very confused! Should I use a amp and rig capture or just an amp capture? The kemper profile I have in mind is a deluxe reverb combo.
@Rose Parade I don't own a Kemper so I'm only speaking theoretically on this part. I'd say one of the main outputs, or both. As far as amp or amp and rig, it depends on if your going to do a capture of a profile with or without the cab section from the kemper active.
So how did you actually the Loopback? You just say it is there. So you didn't had to rout it to an output and back to an input? Everything inside? You let out the most important part an explained only the trivial stuff.
To be honest you just have to watch the video and pay attention. As far as the software for the loopback in the interface it's between 1:03-1:30 and for a more in depth tutorial on how to use the audient software, you can check out videos specifically on that. How I relate my audient loopback to the Tonex, it is more specifically explained from 2:00-3:30.
I know....... I didn't have much time to do the video and didn't realize the audio issue until editing phase. All Audio was recorded simultaneously to one track so couldn't fix in post. To be honest though, anything said in those parts is nothing important.
