well if the ones in africa are to be believed. to warn humans about nuclear war/technology destroying us. apparently warheads have been fried, and internet satellite launches sabotaged. my guess is their 'purpose' for their lives is to help less advanced being 'evolve', so that the universe can reach a singularity, (or a closeness). at least that would make the most sense.
