Capturing a wild morel mushroom for mycology cultivation

I’m really rooting for this channel. Sharing every time I see a good opportunity to do so. Message me if you want some prints from southern Indiana’s morels. I just inoculated the tar out of my area with rain water slurry and spores Coated dry saw dust shavings/rice. I tried something new 2 years ago with seemingly great results. I added fulvic and humic acid with a bit of bee pollen and to date, it’s been by far the best turnout out of all the attempts I’ve made :-)

I would like to hear about the isolation of bacteria in the soil further please.

Me last week tearing up a morel, dipping the pieces in molasses/salt/water mix and placing them around on the ground to try and inoculate my yard lol

I was reading in a book if I remember correctly they used tomato root extract to get a certain mushroom to grow. It will be great some day when we have some kind of hacks like that to grow morels and chanterelles at home.

I've been investigating getting morels seeded in our yard. I saw that at least some morel species may prefer elm, especially slipper elm trees, ash and maple. I think slippery elm trees may have more vitamins and minerals, and I know that maples leaves are great for composting because they have a high calcium content. With that, i though maybe using some moringa powder tea where I put some morel slurry, because moringa is more than a superfood and loaded with vitamins and minerals. Has more calcium than milk, and more vitamin c than an orange. I will still try to maybe get some elm wood from a park or maybe the facebook marketplace as firewood or just a fresh cut tree. I just need some pieces, so that shouldn't be too difficult to find. My hubbie is a woodworker, and I finally found a good use for his copious amounts of saw dust. Normally, that is from trees like oaks, spanish cedar, some walnut. I know black walnut and sycamore have chemicals to supress the growth of other plants. I also got a syringe of black morel spores and a bag of sterilized rye grain, and I'm so happy the mycelium looks like it is going gangbusters now! i know gum tragacanth is very jelling and might be interesting to see if that would work like agar does. I know about that from making my own soft pastels.
