Power, performance, luxury, and…going green? Yes, you read that correctly. The Mercedes-Benz 2011 S63 AMG was born out of an ambitious goal. Dubbed AMG Performance 2015, the project was designed to “continually reduce the fuel consumption and emissions of new models…while at the same time enhancing the core brand value of performance,” according to AMG then-chairman Ola Kallenius. Fun Fact: For the S63, that performance included being able to hit 60 mph in 4.4 seconds.
