Another thing that is almost a must have are rain guards for your windows. That way, if there is heavy rain, you can still have ventilation without worry of water in your SUV. I saw that someone had the ecoflow. I also have one of those , I got the river pro 2 and it was bundled with a 160 w solar panel. About 700 for all. Not sure about breaking the bank but I just got the eco flow with 2 solar panels..it came as a set..the eco flow had a coupon for 350 off so was able to bundle it..its the delta 2 newer one and I love it

Greetings from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. I, too, have a Santa Fe and I love travelling in it and using it as my car camper.

My rooftop box hasn't hurt my SUV gas mileage that I can see. If you get a hitch basket be careful bc if your going back roads like me unless u have a higher clearance you always hit it on the ditches or creeks u go through. I took mine off bc of that I found that out. I did get an air lift in the back and that helps. Too bad ur not down here I'm going back roads muddin in 3 weeks in GA and Alabama.
