I believe we can all get out there and explore without having to go broke doing it! I am Dee, a part time car camper / suv camper, traveling in my Hyundai Santa Fe (Sangria) since 2021. This channel came to life in September 2023, we're just getting started and the BEST is yet to come! I give tips for car camping on a budget and tips to make car camping easy and safe! I also give product reviews from time to time. Come explore as I boondock, check out campgrounds and hang out in woods. I humbly invite you to subscribe to DeezRoads, all are welcome here! ** New video weekly! ** Need to reach me? contact@deezroads.com
I lived out of my suv for a year and it’s healing for sure.. the challenges become achievements and the landscapes build your spirit. Nothing like it.. I’ve been diagnosed with sever health conditions and I loved every minute. I’m now building a van and helping mother with her needs as she is too old to take care of herself. 1 more year in this apartment prison and it’s back on the road. Super happy for u and subbed. Ps: mid west is fkn awesome.. montana, Wyoming, South Dakota, Kansas etc.. they all were super accommodating when it comes to people living in rv/car life. Bless u n ur travels 😊
Absolutely! That is exactly it, “challenges become achievements….”! Hope your mother is doing well and must be exciting to have the opportunity to build out a van to fit your needs! I’m hoping to explore further west at some point, hopefully not too far out in the future. We’ll see. Thanks for stopping by and sharing your story and experiences!!
I’m jealous! Lol. It was amazing even though it was in the 80’s when we visited last summer, the water was freezing. 🥶 I sure could use some freezing water today! Lol
@DeezRoads has been ridiculous hot here as well. I think there are over 20 mountain trails in Acadia and a few nice ones on the outskirts. You could hit a new one every trip . Must be 10 billion people here now, though. Sometimes I wonder if all other states are empty and everybody is in Acadia 😀 have a great day
Your video on your recent no build popped up in my suggested videos tonight! I’m glad I decided to check out more of your videos. I’m from the east coast but live in the PNW now and I wish I had this info when I lived out there! Thank you for this video. I’m happy to subscribe and check out more of your videos!

I just purchased a used minivan because I want to try car camping watching all these videos really want to make me go out and do this. I haven’t filled out anything. I’m thinking of just doing the basics to sleep. I just bought 1000 W eco-flow I got some small stuff, but I think that’s good. I’m gonna buy maybe a refrigerator and I live in New England so I know that’s not a lot of free campsites but I’ve seen a couple of your videos and I’ve downloaded some of the apps and websites you were talking about I think at a time it’s gonna be good to start. I work full-time. I work from home so I have to figure out, how to get Wi-Fi on the road I need a new phone or buy some Wi-Fi if anybody has any opinions or suggestions that I can take a little longer and I can work in the car
It sounds like you are prepared and ready to roll! 😃 If you have a hotspot on your phone and phone plan, you can use that for WiFi. There's a free app/website that allows you to enter a potential address along with your cell phone carrier to see whether you'll have a strong enough signal. The app is called OpenSignal. That might give you some time before having to purchase something else like a Starlink or NomadInternet. I am soooo excited for you!! If you feel comfortable, definitely come back and share your stories!! ❤ Safe travels and happy car camping!!
@@DeezRoads thank you for the information about the app I will try it. I will make sure to let you know how it goes. I am excited to clean the car set up the car and go on my little first road trip even if it’s just an overnight trip baby steps..
You said it perfectly kiddo. I feel the same way. 6 yrs SUV camping for me. I absolutely love the adventures. I get bored easily so this is a great way to go
Same here, I have to keep moving or I easily become unmotivated. 6 years.... such a great blessing and you must be having the BEST experiences and adventures. Loved seeing your mudding trip!! ❤Happy travels, still hoping to see you on the road at some point!
You're absolutely spot on. I recently retired and took a 100 day, 17,000 mile road trip around the country from NC to the west coast and back. I bought a minivan just for the trip and it's hard to beat. Being out in nature in this beautiful country of ours is the most therapeutic thing I've ever experienced. It has definitely changed my life at 63 years old. Keep doing what you're doing and keep the vids coming. Thanks for all you do. Blessings!!
Oh my gosh!! That's living the dream for sure!! What a wonderful experience!! More and more when I hear stories like this it makes me want to take a month (or two) off of work and just go explore. Been going back and forth on whether or not to trade in for a minivan, or even an older passenger/construction van so the whole family can come along. Thank you for sharing your story. Hearing things like this give me motivation to keep on keepin' on!
I just got back from a 2 week car camping trip to Colorado from Tulsa then went to Black Mesa State Park (a “dark space”) to gaze at the stars. At the end, it was too hot for comfort so I’m not going to be able to car camp till the fall. Unless I can figure out how to rig a window unit into my car! I most always camp with electric hookups.
That sounds amazing! I can't wait to venture beyond the East Coast! One day soon, hopefully! I hear you with the heat...makes it so hard to car camp during the summer. If possible, I try to head north to try to beat the heat. I was pricing some of those portable camping ACs... nope, way too expensive for me...lol. Hopefully you can get out there this summer! Happy travels and thank you for sharing your experience! 😃

🤪 I can imagine! Especially with it being one of the few free overnight spots close to Acadia. I will say the people and staff were super friendly. I loved Maine as a whole. Definitely going back at some point!
As much as I enjoy cooking inside the car, standing is so much easier! Lol. She had a great time. That was her 2nd Melanie concert. 😁 I didn’t elaborate on the story cause I was still a bit worked up but the cops were kind of pushing the guy towards my direction so I said oh lord, let me get ready and out of the way!
Thank you for going there!!!!! I’m about to start camping and also I’m going through the same thing!!!! Frankie’s, belly fat etc…. Just want to be alone lol thank Goodness I don’t have anyone on my life lol !! MenOnPause! Lolol😊

You have your gear, you have your vehicle, you have your strength and perseverance, you got this! I'd love to hear all about your first adventure!! ❤❤
I just set it on a surface that won’t burn. Most of the time my old, cracked up wood cutting board. It cools really quickly. I want to say it’s around 300 something watts but it boils in less than 5 minutes. I use a bluetti EB3A. Next time I use it I’ll note the exact watts it uses.
It’s an immersion heater so you can use it with mugs, bowls, etc. A viewer suggested it a few months ago so I bought one on Amazon and it hasn’t let me down yet.
The bluetti I have is only loud when the internal fan kicks on during charging on shore power or if I’m cooking with my electric frying pan for an extended period of time. I think all of those brands you mentioned are reliable. I went with the Bluetti EB3A cause it was on sale at the time. 😁
