Well I am a chef, so here's my advice to you it's a good idea to always keep a separate canister propane with a single torch head for it, that way when you're done cooking something and in your case the cheese didn't melt or you want a crispy top without burning the bottom of whatever it is that you're making including desserts but you want the top melted or crispy, just take your trusty propane torch, light it and go over it back and forth until the cheese is melted or until it's crispy like you like it that goes for anything Pizza desserts anything that you cook 💯🇺🇲💯🇺🇲💯🇺🇲💯🇺🇲💯🇺🇲, and yes I am Italian
You are down to earth and very genuine. You express how you feel. I have seen some fake personalities on other overlanding travel youtube channels. When i am bored i will tune in to your channel. Thank you for sharing your experience.
I'm a huge fan of the channel! You're an inspiration to me , as I am starting my car camping life in November! Stay safe!... P.S. My dog Blue, says woof to your dog Blue!😆🐶
Maria,, every time I watch you, I'm amazed of what you are able to accomplish. You are such an inspiration to just get out and do it, adapt and have fun. It's fun to see you laugh at everything no matter how it turns out. Inspires us to be be calm as well. As the saying goes, "Be calm and be Maria".
Hello fellow traveler! (travelers) I just wanted to let you know what I found! I know it's not summertime but if you've ever heard of the company "arctic air" you know sometimes their stuff is ok but not great, well, I found a handheld cooler that is rechargeable! For car campers I think it's going to work and all you gotta do is recharge it and it lasts anywhere from 8-12hrs depending on speed you use! I just tried it today and so far so good...I'm not in a car yet but I've used it in my car this morning for my run arounds. I definitely need probably 3 or 4 of them, they are small but w/them on you directly, you could definitely get yourself and your car cooler! They run about $20 and i bet you can find them online too, I found them at walmart...def going to buy more!
At 11:38, to open those jars real easy, put a spoon to the lid edge and lever it up, to release the vacuum in the jar, then the lid turns very easily to undo. Simple when you know how! Best wishes from England, where the weather's always like it is there in your video, don't get me started! x
Hi Mariea ,may name is Matt, I am a new follower and I love your videos. It is nice to see a fellow Michigander on RU-vid. You have beautiful dog ,my beagle of 15 yrs old just passed away a week age ,dogs are best friends and watch over you he lived a good long life .sorry I am carrying on,I look forward to seeing more RU-vid videos of you and your dog, Matt from Michigan
Def need a lid for that frying pan! That way you can make lots of things and have things melt, but great job, that pizza looked good! All the best to you and Blue!
That’s all it’s been doing here lately where I am is raining and I’ve been taking full advantage of it. The rain is so soothing to my soul. This video almost put me to sleep but in a good way 😊❤
Just a heads up, pre-shredded cheese is usually covered in cornstarch to keep it from sticking together in the bag; which also keeps it from melting easily or seamlessly on pizza. The best kind of cheese is block cheese that you shred yourself. 😊
Just discovered your channel. I've also got an 07 outback with a manual transmission, cracked windshield and a camper build out. Except, I had To pull the front passenger seat for the bed. I'm 6'3" and it just wasn't gonna work. Pizza on cast iron is the best. Especially on the back under the tailgate.
LOL !!! Watching you and you're dog reminds me of a song I really like, Me and you and a dog named Blue !!! It's also wonderful Watching you cook !!! LOL Great stuff !!!
I love the your fur baby loves you unconditionally ❤️ bub is the cutest in the rain coat. You are 2 peas in a pod. Forever. .. ohh I love you videos thank you.
Cast iron is really easy to clean up, most times just wipe out with a dry paper towel. Another great thing about cast iron is you can make toast in it, just butter both of sides of the bread, on low heat, jelly and you're there. When it's time to season your cast iron, grab some grapeseed oil (low smoke when heated), put about 3 tablespoons in and heat over medium until hot. Then pour out oil (I use an old can) take a paper towel and "carefully" wipe the remaining oil around the inside until coated. Since you don't have an oven, heat your skillet over the lowest heat for ten minutes covered. Turn off heat, leave covered for 2 hours and when cool, wipe remaining oil out with dry paper towel. That's it, it should be good now until you cook something that dry's the coating, then just wipe and repeat in a month or two the seasoning instruction's. There are lots of cooking in cast iron while camping video's that'll have the Italian chef in you coming out before you know it. Awesome work on your first time pizza in a cast iron skillet can't wait to see what's the next chapter in Maria and Blue's adventures. Take care and stay safe.
That pizza looked bomb!! But also, Blue had me enraptured with his facial expressions. He is the cutest. Getting my Hyundai Accent ready for little day trips. I live in Nova Scotia, Canada so the weather is already turning. Hope I can get a couple overnights in before it gets too cold for my Yorkie!
When I get groceries I just open the back door and they are there waiting for me. Just an fyi, cast iron will hold the heat longer than normal cookware. So when you cook don't cook on high because you will burn things.
That's so cool you made pizza! It actually looked fabulously tasty. You need to get you a grate to lift the pizza off the skillet and a lid. Try that on an open camp fire then you'd have fire roasted pizza. :) that rain coat is adorable. I gotta get my dog one.
a trick that has always worked for me is to tap the side of the lid at the edge of a flat surface like a table or that plywood while simultaneously twisting the jar and tapping against the table on the side of the lid.
Loved the video ! That was some nice pizza 🍕 especially for a first Ru 🍕 Love and Blessings to You and Yours 🤗 FYI: I love the sound of the rain ☔ while falling asleep 🙏🙏🙏
We use pita bread for our pizza crust when in the woods in cast iron skillet! Tj my gsp loves it as well as long as we don’t have onions or garlic, he goes crazy for the crust. Try out Twin lakes sometimes not far from Leadville also Leadville has a pizza place to die for called high mountain pies. Have fun and be safe.
I love the rain and love to hear raindrops, especially when I am in bed relaxing that will put me to sleep quicker. Hearing raindrops remind me a lot about my childhood time when I was still in my mother's country (Asia). It rains like cats and dogs there during the wet season. The sound of raindrops is like music to my ears and it calms my soul, giving me the utmost relax and romantic time (even by myself) !!!
I bought Greek Peta bread, it's pizza bread already made all you need to do is heat it up...no mess! And it tast fabulous. add toppings then heat till cheese is melted. Look into it next time you will be alot happier.
I had to laugh out loud when you said you were Italian so the pizza should come out fine! The entire Country of Italy’s reputation rests on your shoulders. 😂 Really enjoying your adventures.
Your pizza looks great. If I can give you some advice. Turn the heat to medium, then it can get done all the way through without burning the bottom. I'm so glad it turned out so good 😋👍🖐️‼️
UGHHHH, I’ve been watching ALL of your videos and I can’t WAIT to go do this myself. I’ll be spending all of my next several paychecks getting ready for it. I still have to get a new vehicle since I’ve messed up the ABS system on my current one. Feels like it’s so far away but I know myself and my dog just cannot wait to get on the road! Even with all of the ups and downs, there’s plenty at home so on the road it’s just easier to take a break from it all and enjoy life through the journey 🎉
As you title stated, Heavy Rain. I wish we could have seen more than a second of it. Love your beautiful hair. Just so gorgeous ----- From a 65 year old woman in Texas.
one of the better channels like this....you should change it to roaming savage.....lol cracked windshield, trash bags on the dog, tossing 50lb waters on top of all your other shit.....awesome. keep up the savageness , I like it
Your pizza looks delicious, nicely done! 😎 I’m concerned about you and Blue out there among all the animals disguised as human beings so please take care you two! 💕
Should have rubbed a little bit of that oil on your hands would have kept the dough from sticking. Stumbled upon your videos not too long ago and have truly enjoyed them thus far. Wishing you nothing but the best out there. Stay safe and happy travels.
Dinner..I spent several months in Frisco Co. amazing place, whoa on your videography & editing..don't let dead relatives pressure you when cooking, they don't know😃 or care, Ms Italian..I've never yelled in my life🌟
