Car Camping in the Woods (Almost got Robbed) Van Life 

Hopefully u soon start carrying a weapon of some sort, I don’t want to start any kind of trouble on your channel but I carry a pistol on me most of the time but where I live is a open carry state r if u choose to get a concealed carry permit just my opinion.

Your videos are great and I appreciate the fact that you don’t cuss so my family can watch your videos with me. Keep up the great work and I hope your channel grows as big as you want it. I also like the scripture and the fact that you share your faith.

Thanks for watching, love all you guys! Definitely my first adventure in the woods where I felt uneasy, glad it happened though because I learn from situations. Don’t ever feel like I’m trying to push a product on you guys, I just state my honest opinion and give brief description. Up to you guys to do more research if you’re interested. I have started accepting “some” free products that seem of good quality and may be useful to me or my audience. I will not accept something just because it’s free to me and waste your time watching me talk about it. You guys can totally skip parts of video where I talk about a product if it’s of no interest to you. Me deciding to start accepting products is because a lot of them can be very useful for me and give you guys ideas for your own setup. Anything I don’t want I will sell in attempt to save up money to get a bigger van for my family and van camping adventures. Thanks to all of you who stick with me on this journey. Edit: For those who want more detail about why I was sketched out and have an issue with my title. Response to someone below that gives more info. I wasn’t going to point the camera at the guys going 1/4 mile an hour with driver hanging half way out the car while his buddy in passenger seat was looking over him directly at me and show the black out windows tint in back. I looked at them 3 times in the span of 5-10 minutes they basically weren’t moving and he was looking right toward my van. Never caught driver looking at me as he stayed hanging out the car with head looking at dirt ground. It seemed as he was trying to look like a distraction like they were listening for a car issue while passenger and possibly people in back scoped out the situation. I did not hear any sounds from the vehicle that would make him do that, nor would any normal person do it the way they were. I’m very good at reading people and picking up vibes because I grew up around trouble and can sense it. I also always try to give people the benefit of the doubt but this was way to out there. I didn’t take time to mess around, film or stare back, I started packing up like anyone smart would do especially if they aren’t carrying. The second car literally came within couple minutes of the truck leaving which is only reason I was on edge about that car because wasn’t sure if the truck told them anything or they were gonna come back. Normally I see a car do that at end of dirt road cul de sac I think they are out smoking which I stated but it happened right after which made me not sure what they were up to. Just because I didn’t get all of it on film, have a shoot out or have them yell I was about to rob you doesn’t mean that’s not what almost happened. When I think about this trip and video that’s what comes to my mind so included it in title.

The wood sticks that you bring out of the van has toxins in its smoke. That’s the black soot that you got on your last video on your cup. If you cook food on that fire before the soot burns off the toxins will be in your s’mores. I use the same fire starter. I try to use just what I need to start the fire and cook after the “fat wood” burns off. Love what you’re doing with this channel and really love the scriptures. I’ve let all of my church buddies know about your channel and they love it too. Keep it up. You’re making a difference. I’d love to tell you about my camping trip last weekend where I camped 3 spots down from a church group of youths from northern Illinois. They were a blast to listen to as they sang around the campfire. Extra cool. Peace out.

Follow your gut instinct always! We never ever camped even in a cabin with our Glock. You never know when a crazy person is going to be close by. You’re not in a tent so you’re safer but not totally so get your carry permit if you’re going to be in the woods. My girlfriend and I use to camp all the time when we were in high school, never ever worried about safety, just would decide to go, tell our parents we were staying over night at the others house and go sleep in the woods. I think I may have even taken my Strawberry Shortcake sleeping bag lol 😂

Favorite parts: neat pants, background music, scenery/drone footage, hands-free camera?, cool camper socks 20:06, Bible verses, time-lapse, trash pickup, Mr. Nice Guy.

car/truck camping out in the wilds makes one more vulnerable to all kind of misadventures, from wild animals, to falls and injuries, and to roving psychos. You are wish to bring protection with you ... and bear spray doesn't have to be spent only on bears. An extra canister is always a good idea. Take care. God loves you, so do we.

From South Africa.. everybody does that in the wrong sequence.. switch off the burner before taking the boiling water off... its risky, if you accidently bump the burner, you could scald your hand with boiling water, a disaster if solo camping 🏕 just saying, with your safety in mind. The most dangerous thing in the wild walks on two legs, people do sketchy stuff like pot growing with boobie traps or cooking drugs/drug dealing They do scope out campsites and people to rob. But here in Canada i always carry Bowie knifes, bear spray, machetes and baseball bats (In Canada) We legally can’t use/carry machine guns, bazookas, Grenades handguns, anti aircraft missiles like in the states so it’s all close up and personal if something does bad happen.

Get a good slingshot. If you practice shooting it a lot you will get good with it. That is all you need. That is what I have. I feel safe and confident having it with me.

You can charge Jackery power stations with other branded solar panels. I have a little 20w panel I use to keep my Jackery 300 topped off when I’m out camping. It came with an adapter to fit the Jackery. I’ve had bad luck with cheaper power stations. Jackery, Anker and EcoFlow are the only ones that haven’t failed on me so far. I’ll check out the Pecron. I see they have a handful on Amazon. Love the content! Binge watching all your vids right now! I’m hoping to get into more content like this on my second channel this summer. 👍

There is a concealed carry class, and I can't remember the guys name or find his RU-vid channel, but he teaches how to AVOID using your fire arm and remove yourself from a situation (cross the street if you see 3 guys hanging out by a lamp post, be aware if you are at an ATM, leave if some sketchy guys are prowling around near your camp site, etc., Etc). You do not want to hurt anyone but you will defend yourself if you are a concealed carry individual.

I think you handled yourself well. Good you know what signs to watch for. Good idea to get your license and whatever you need there. It is such a shame but you cannot always trust people. Thank goodness nothing else happened and you are safe. I would have had to leave and go elsewhere. I don’t mind you talking about different products you have there. Your beautifying your campsite is very noble, but I hope you're around long enough where extending it by 10 every time becomes impossible. Either from the fact you don't wanna spend the whole time picking up garbage, or, and I hope I'm right here, there just isn't that much garbage around to pick up.

You need to wear an Orange safety whistle Even in camp.

You are sure decked out with cool stuff in your van. I wish I had the Jackery 1000 but my 260 isn’t too bad. Charges your basic stuff. I got one of pour over things to make coffee and use the Esbit to heat the water. Works too. Weapons, I have bear spray and stun gun. And a big American Bully. No one usually gets around me except tell me the dog is pretty.
