Nothing beats nice relaxed paddle in early golden autumn morning. I was recently watching Itiwit kayak clean&care video - what a time consuming nightmare. I bet you’re very pleased with your Gumotex Twist. It would be hard to recommend double skin kayak over Nitrilion boat. I’m sure there might be some benefits like more protection from sharp objects and price. But Nitrilion kayak is easy to clean, is Fast, durable, Lightweight,easyto carryover the locks. It helps when paddling river Thames with many many locks. You have a new seat upgrade. Watching timelap looked that narrowboat is in trouble and sinking rather fast.

Thanks for watching Kris 👍 Yes it is really easy to look after. I do have a double skinned craft, the Blueborn Coasteer and thankfully it's relatively easy to look after given how small and light it is. The seat upgrade works a treat 👍

I did see a few in the distance and I took some footage of a couple relatively close. However you couldn't see them because they were under some vegetation. So yes, the developing trademark of me calling out 'Ducks Mart!' was missed :)

Thinking of paddling this stretch on Saturday. Regarding the private land sign, have you had any access issues on this stretch of water?

No none at all. Whilst the land is owned by the Newby estate, the signs are more for keeping people away who are non fishermen/boat people.

Thanks Karl, I was hoping that. Obviously I have my waterways license, but dealing with access arguments still spoils a nice day out. Might see you out on the water one day...I'm up in Durham, so the Yorkshire waterways are not a million miles away.
