🚍+🚙+🚕+🚗=💰 In this video, I show you how I work as a Car Hauling Dispatcher and give you free Auto Dispatching Tips for Using Central Dispatch. Please remember to Like and I hope to see you in the Live Chat on a Tuesday Night. - Jay
Hi, Quentina. I don't know how far along you are with your business set up, but have read my blog post Auto Transport Business Startup? www.autotransportintel.com/car-hauling-dispatcher/how-to-start-new-auto-transport-business/
You should show people how to do the search from pennies on the dollar to over $1.25 per mile. Most of the loads you searched for are starting under $1.00 per mile. There is no way I can run my rig for under $1.20 per mile.
I am researching heavily in preparation to start as a hotshot. Thanks for your advise, insight, and encouragement. I look forward to learning more. Jay - Tennessee

Hi Jay, I'm looking to start up a car hauling business. I live about 15 miles north of I-90, and 25 miles west of I-81. I see lots of car haulers on I-90 headed to City Auction in West Springfield, Pa. What could I realistically expect to make per car, heading from Syracuse, or Rochester, NY, to This auction, and what about backhauls? Do you dispatch this area? Do you know someone who does, if you don't? Thanks
Hello. I think you would greatly benefit from our CTS Business Coaching program: bit.ly/2GFQYqF and you can email me your contact info to autotransportintel at gmail dot com. Thanks.
Very informative channel! youve got my like and subscription. Im looking to get into the business but im curious- Why would a driver want use a dispatcher instead of figure out the route them self? Thanks!
Thank you! That is an excellent question! It's understandable that a driver and/or owner gets very busy, so adding staff (such as a dispatcher) makes sense as a business grows; but as the business owner, I highly recommend you decide your trucking route and business strategy. That is why you might consider a coaching session with Ty of CTS (CLICK HERE: bit.ly/2CDDzKO). And I hope to see you in the live chat on a Tuesday night!
Hi jay, I looooove your videos. You are giving us free and valuable info.... well, I’m gonna start my own business very soon hauling cars with my 3 4 car hauler. I know some people from the auto auctions they gonna give me some business, but i would like to do hauling from central dispatch. My question is, how to start with the central dispatch? Do i have to be registered in or where i have to look for loads ?
Thank you so much for that! I'm glad they are helping you. Yes, you will need to sign up with Central Dispatch and the sign up process can take several days. Also, you get a one-time 30-day free trial so don't sign up too early or you'll waste that benefit (approximately $115.00 value).
Auto Transport Intel , in that case - is every load a backhaul? Some people seem to think that one should pay more or less than the other. Seems like a stupid explanation that some people are buying and others are pushing it.
Any load coming back from where a carrier delivers could be considered a back haul. The problem is, many carriers (and dispatchers) pick great paying loads that go to locations where there's no good paying loads coming back to where they need to return. That leads to empty spaces on a trailer (sometimes for long distances) which equates to not making money - or losing valuable time waiting for a load to bring back. But if you're going to deliver a great paying load to a remote location and sell your business when you get there, then you're right, no need for a back haul.
Hey my name is Noel l live in Nj and have a question. Im thinking off opening my self a hotshot trucking company n l will like to do a car hauling. How that works to get into that business.if u can help me with more info l will appreciate it. Thanks
Hi Jay! We are currently transporting RV's out of Goshen, IN (Sub-contracted with Foremost) and are interested in using Central Dispatch to secure backhauls. Since we are hauling Travel Trailers and 5th Wheels we will not have a trailer with us. In your opinion, is a membership with C.D. worth it? Also, what is your opinion concerning Foremost Transport? Thank you, Stacy
A Central Dispatch subscription might help you with your back haul, although I'm not familiar with Foremost Transport. If you want some strategic business coaching, feel free to send an email to autotransportintel at gmail dot com to learn more. Thanks.
Drivers have taught me over the years that you can threaten to file against their Broker Bond: www.overdriveonline.com/how-to-file-against-a-brokers-bond/ Basically, if you can't get them to morally see the light, you can always do it legally. I also encourage you to join the Live Chat on Tuesday Night Live at 8PM CST. Other working Car Haulers would be happy to give your their two cents on this issue. Make sure you Subscribe - and don't forget to Like any videos that have helped you. Thanks for watching.
Yes, I will be Live on Tuesday the 31st at 8pm - and every Tuesday thereafter. Thank you for asking and I'll see you in the Live Chat on Tuesday. Also, please make sure you are Subscribed to my Channel ru-vid.com and click on the Notification Bell to get notified of all new Videos and Live Streams.
Hi, Steve. ELD Rules are not based on the capacity of your trailer. Please click here and read the "Q3" section: cms8.fmcsa.dot.gov/hours-service/elds/general-information-about-eld-rule Keep in mind, there are very few exemptions to the ELD Mandate. I hope that helps.
I would like to work with you but I have no experience hotshot I have my cdl 4month now driving for Swift for like 4month otr can you give me more info
Great video, would you tell me how much would be the going rate that the hotshot owner would get per car if he transported it 400 miles in particular Las Vegas Nevada to Salt Lake City utah and Salt Lake City back to Las Vegas which I say again is 400 miles normally picking up from copar
Jay I like your vidieo's. I am thinking about going out on my own with my 35ft. Big Tex with ramps in your opinion will I be able to make any money only being able to haul 2 cars at a time.
Thanks for the question. Yes, as long as you can carry the heavier and bigger units like high top sprinter vans, F-550s, etc. Make sure you have at least a 10,000 pound winch and a jump box. Specialize in hard to get units. Focus on a territory or several states and make friends at the ports until you get your own TWIC: www.tsatraveltips.us/twic-card/ You might also check out my Auto Transport Business Startup blog post: www.autotransportintel.com/car-hauling-dispatcher/how-to-start-new-auto-transport-business/ Hope that helps you and best of luck.
Also, be sure to know the weight limitations with that trailer. There are excellent conversations about this in Facebook groups and at Truckers Report: www.thetruckersreport.com/truckingindustryforum/forums/car-hauler-and-auto-carrier-trucking-forum.393/
Jay, Good Morning! Thank you for your reply's they are very encouraging, and I will check out the resources you mentioned. I hope from time to time you will let me pick your brain about different things or even use some of your dispatch service. I hope you get rich. Thanks, Allen Kichler
So sorry for the delayed response! I just found this. You might consider signing up for a coaching talk: autoconversion.net/autotransportintel/sign-up/ or tune in for some Dispatching LIVE! ru-vid.com/group/PL9Iq3gMukvmzoSCIbSWHtsaD2xUItYZGG
If a guy just wanted to run Youngstown to Cincinnati, then Cincy to Cleveland, or some variation, and be home same day, is there much demand for in state loads?
That can work, but not usually with booking only off load boards; you'll want some car hauling business coaching. Click here if you're interested: bit.ly/2GFQYqF Thanks.
Wouldn't have Dave haul anything first bumper is to close to bulkhead in belly with the pickup he is hauling second being winter time where is the side tarps to prevent damage to the pickup from snow truck throwing salt and cinders on roadway how many claims did he pay for ?? Aka chipped paint broken glass, damages to mirrors??
Good questions, Bernard. I hope you'll consider joining the live chat during my show on Tuesday Nights at 8pm so you can discuss it further. Thank you.
Thank you. Please remember to Like any videos you find helpful - and please join the Live Chat on Car Hauling Dispatcher Tuesday Night Live 8pm CST if you're available.
does it make a difference if you pick up and drop of in residential or commercial? i am looking to import 3 mini trucks and need them picked up from the port. also would i need to be there in person with my paperwork to prove they are are mine or can i just send you with my paperwork and a release form?
At America's Import, they handle the importing for a customer and have them put the business on the Bill of Lading as the Notify party and handle all necessary filings from the ISF Security form to the filing and Entry clearance and pick up from the US port. They either have it ready at Sea Port Services which is off port of Jacksonville for customer pick up so the customer does not need to deal with Customs or the port and or shipped directly to the customers Business or Home. To learn more, visit: www.americasimportandexportauthority.com/
INOP refers to an inoperable vehicle. Most cars are run and drive because they start and run when you turn the ignition key. An inoperable vehicle does not start, and therefore requires a winch or forklift to make it on and off the transport trailer, which is A LOT more work.
Thanks for the question. Yes, the dispatcher earns a percentage of each load they book that is picked up and delivered by the carrier they are booking for - and this is paid by the carrier (or driver) to the dispatcher. The customer pays the broker or the driver, not the dispatcher. Think 'high single digit percentage'. I also cover this topic in my Dispatcher Training Series: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-c6Q5JYFtYNI.html I hope that helps.
Your question confirms my suspicion. I can't prove it, but I think y00t00b is suppressing my views. Please visit my home page to stay current with this channel: ru-vid.com I've taken ATI way beyond videos of me dispatching. Thank you.
Hi Jay, how's it going? I just subscribed to your channel, I'm getting ready to start in this business ... I'm located in Florida, I would like to transport cars only within Florida, would it be profitable in your experience?
Hi, Sheila. I'm really hoping to connect with a Dispatch Service that I can recommend regularly. But have you tried Clark Logistics in TN? www.nationwideautodispatch.com/contact.html Please mention my name if you talk to them. Thanks.
Sheila Song I only dispatch for a couple drivers. Please email me more information about your company to: autotransportintel@gmail.com so I can help give some advice.
I like your enthusiasm. So I suggest keep watching my videos and join the live chat on Tuesday Nights Live to learn more about how you plan to do that.
And when you're ready for a one-one-one business consultation, let me know. I charge $50 for 1 hour. I don't sugar coat anything, but I will give you a lot of information. Just send me an email to schedule. autotransportintel@gmail.com Thanks.
Thanks for comment, Omar. While I don't personally dispatch anymore, I can help recommend a dispatching service. If you're interested in the referral, please email your contact info to autotransportintel at gmail dot com. Thank you.
Great Question! If you are a Car Shipping Customer trying to move a car (or cars) then you are looking for an an Auto Transport Broker. If you are a Car Hauling Business Owner looking for someone to help you keep your Car Carrier loaded then you are looking for a Car Hauling Dispatcher. So the question is, are you trying to ship a car or are you a car hauling business?
I am a new car hauler out of Austin Tx. I've pretty much got everything going except a couple more legalities and I'll be ready to rock and roll. Is there a reputable dispatcher that you would recommend I deal with? Also, on average, what percentage per car does a dispatcher usually charge? Thank you for your time.
I believe I can recommend a dispatcher. Please email me: autotransportintel@gmail.com with your basic contact and company info. The percentage charge can vary so I will let the dispatch service give you their service quote.
Hello. Please click here to get started: bit.ly/3hNUFcQ Or you can send an email to autotransportintel at gmail dot com with your contact info and request. Thanks.

Dude you talk about a back haul is usually referred to freight hauled cheaper iven for cost to get back... The back haul thinking ruins freight rates for someone.. totally drives freight down.... total BS to be part of the rate problem.....

I am trying to get my car moved 325 miles from Portland 97266 To idaho 83647. I have been trying for 2 weeks to get it moved But all I have got is the run around and games from shippers. Wanting me to sign blank contracts and open contracts And wanting card info and payment authorization when they dont have a drive lined up or a pick up date. I would never have believed how much of a hassle it is just to move a car 325 miles. All I want ìs my car and an honest deal any info or help would be greatly appreciated. Im willing to pay for your time if you can help get this done. Thank you for your time and video's. Have a nice day. Robert
