Seeing that he has put extra effort to like and reply to almost every comment.. ,he deserves a thumbs up and subscription. Awesome work bruv! Looking forward for more !
Great tutorial, clear and pretty detailed without becoming "overly meticulous", so thanks for taking the effort of making it and sharing your knowledge. Best regards
This was an amazing tutorial! its really easy to follow but you dont go too in depth on every single detail (i've seen a 13 part tutorial explain less than you did in this single video) Thanks for making this, i and a lot of others really appreciate it, even 2 years later!
This is literally finding water in a dessert, this was extremely good and well explained especially for a free youtube video. This actually made me feel like i could improve in blender much more.
Thanks for such kind words. You surely can improve a lot with just exploring blender on a consistent basis and even surpass what you see in this course. Just keep at it :)
@@aligamiles blender is pretty easy on pc performance. I created my graduation project on a 12" windows tablet with no cooling (stingl.design/projects/0nonAK?album_id=94217) . No, this tablet is not my primary device, it was more of an experiment, which I could afford since it was not a project for a client. Yes, having a more powerful pc will obviously help you a lot, but no, you are not limited by a pc, if your PC does meet the minimal specs requirements.
@@davidstingl6217 Yeah I don’t know why I said that 4 weeks ago because I now know that it is not pc quality that limits you, because either way it’ll render.
I’ve been learning blender and I must say it is challenging you can’t just jump on this and start making videos this will take some time if you want it done right I love this software it’s a project for real 👍
@@blueinversion Naah man, it didn't took that much of time, you're the one who took some real time making this tutorial for us Thank you so much for that .
Yeah, being familiar with the basic Blender UI and design philosophy will help a lot. But unlike most tutorials, if you get through this eventually, it will elevate you to the next level for sure.
Thanks for watching Zac! Hardsurface always fascinates me and I love the zig-saw puzzle like approach to modelling in general. Hope tp bring more videos on these topics in the future :)
Don't think that I need to think twice before subscribing to this... lol ... Quality abounds from the start of explanation to presentation... Ride on brother. From Africa...
I really like the model! I would follow it, but i want to improve my skills on building somethingmyself instead. I used this as a video to help me make my lambo, so thanks alot!
I am an engineering student and the primary software that I use for designing is solidworks. Switching from solidworks to blender is difficult because blender, from what I have seen, is very inaccurate with measurements. I am used to use measurements to do designing , so if there is a way that you can actually use precise measurements in blender it would be great if you made a tutorial
Very first thing at 2:43 is the "Pie" view menu, activate by pressing ` and move to front view by pressing 7
This is a fantastic tutorial! However, extruding a single vertex and filling in the gaps seem to be more efficient and accurate. I'm making car tutorials myself too
Yeah, you are right. But in that case, the modeller needs to do the topology calculations in his head. This comes second nature for experienced modellers but wanted to give beginners an easier alternative for now. Atleast extruding edges will lead to quads most of the time.
This is a Great Tutorial. But I still think modelling a car is more of a Intermediate level thing. So if you are a beginner just follow this tutorial to be an Intermediate! This a easy to follow Beginner to Intermediate Tutorial! 😂
It's not perfect. I just used GIMP to roughly separate each view into a new image file. The real precision work comes when you are setting up the cube for reference. Just make sure you do that as best as you can :)
Your video tutorial is really relaxing and informative on how you do step by step. How long did it took for you to design the whole base model in this video +-?
@@Crispierelic Yeah man, exactly. So I remind people to spend as much time as possible, wherever there's a cut in the video. It's a week long project for beginner to intermediate users.
Hey there, im currently creating what i see in this tutorial now, i have some troubles going on when i try to make this like 1. when you added the boolean modifier with curser to select it and added a plane at 39:45 you selected that plane, the problem is that my plane is not being selected in any way 2. im using blender 2024 and i couldnt find the loop tool which already turned ON when you were about to create doors, i cant find the loop tools 3. i have no idea how you created that rubber line for the windows and front/back glass it would really help if you tell me how to create that too thank you:)
did everything as per the doc's orders, but when I create a mesh plane, the reference image goes under it. I have checked that the layer I'm working on is under the reference one, everything is exactly the same as far as I can tell. What's going on?
Hello, Thanks for the video .Great effort . I have a problem , at minute 7.38 , when you choose plane to add ( start of modeling) the plane is so dark that I can not see features of the car . How you make the plane Transparent. Thanks in Advance
How do you keep the plane so clean at 12:07 I struggle to do that. Question if I edit can you comment the answer I’m very confused😅😅
got stuck at 40:12. That cut doesn't appear after applying the solidify modifier. I'm using blender 3.1 btw
Exelente trabajo amigo etes un genio con el software quisiera saber si con blender puefo hacer diseños de autos para cortar con láser en madera de 3 mm
Thank you so much. The track is composed and distributed by myself under a pseudo name - Fresnel Black. It is called "1000 flowers dead". You can listen to it on all major streaming platforms and I have also provided links to them all in the description of this tutorial itself. Have a nice day :)
I want to model cars to mod into Assetto Corsa (or for an easier to understand example import it as an FBX from Blender to then convert the FBX to the game's supported file type) but for that will i need to create lighting if i wanna import into a game sicne the game is probably already lit anyway? or will the model appear dark
Thanks idk why But i have big Problems with complex shapes like this. Poly modelling is harder than i thought just from the planning side of it. Always confuses the shit out of me and its honestly so annoying bc it is so important for improving my art.
To be honest, if you feel like poly modelling isn't for you, you don't have to. I know amazing digital 3D sculptors who don't know shit about poly modelling. Unless you really need a good topology, you can get away with sculpting and even do things polymodelling cannot. Good luck mate :)
Something important that I have been struggling with for about 2 days now...references. Please make sure your references are pixel perfect (I ended up using gimp for mine), If the black lines of the reference edges, the XYZ axis, and the middle of the car dont all line up, you can't go any further (I tried and everything was messed up afterwards). If im just a blender noob who has no idea what he's talking about (which could very well be the case), please let me know! Also how are his meshes always invisible until he needs them solid? Is there a hotkey for that?
Yes, you need to press ALT+Z to turn on Xray mode when you need to see through the mesh. Press it again to toggle back to opaque. Thanks for watching :)
