Sadly the FBIs efforts to protect witnesses are numbered. The dark web has lots of advanced doxing hardware and other illicit tracking software for rooting out witnesses and hunting them down. The FBI needs to be much more proactive on this front or they may find more witnesses and subpoenaed jurors to certain trials will end up dead. It obviously depends on where the police are when the alarm goes off. It's not like 'beam me up, Scotty' as in star trek. If there are no officers in the vicinity, it will take time for them to get there, especially when other drivers ignore the lights and sirens.
