When I first saw this episode, they cut away from Richie reviving, so even thought they were a few couple of clues in the first season, it was a shock that he was immortal
He was able to tell he was an immortals one the first esp when he was trying to rob Duncan and the other two showed up thought the first time I saw it he was sense them two then watched it again later on and could tell it was Richie at first then the other two
When he walks out that door, coat blowing and you KNOW he has her scarf in his pocket. And you see Richie and you understand what had happened and how broken Duncan is when he says “sell it.” My heart stops for a second and it doesn’t matter than I’ve seen that episode, that SCENE 100 times. It cuts like the first time every single time. Xoxox
One of my favorite episodes. She dies, Richie is enraged. Duncan says let it go. Ritchie can't understand because he hasn't had it happen to him before, like Duncan and Connor have experienced it a hundred times. Nothing you can do. Mourn and move on. That's always fascinated me. If you could live forever, would you eventually fall victim to ennui? Seem to others that you had no heart, no soul?
1. Duncan did want to really let it go until he saw the kid had turned his life around. And had a son he was trying to raise 2. Richie had a lot of guilt because he blamed himself for Tessa dying.
after 400 years of watching people die, Duncan would have to let it go, hard just watching a few people die in a life time of 62 years for me, 400 years of dealing with people you know and love dying got to be even harder
As an adult I did not like it,, then just knew just knew that they was going to bring her back and ruin it,, and they did when I first saw her I just cut it off and refuse to watch it it was a two part esp... just could not and heard that I was right others told me that it was horrible
0:30 It’s so sad she died. 0:36 Richie was about the same age Connor was when he died his first death back in 1536. 5:12 I didn’t understand at first that Richie was a Pre-Immortal. That’s why Duncan almost killed him in the pilot episode.
I do not thank Duncan realize it was Richie at first, remember there was another one there that night. but none of the other immortals throughout the series sense Richie but remember one esp. when a guy was about 25 in real live shot his friend and killed him so he will be an immortal,
That what got me first esp thought that he Duncan senses him was one reason that he took him in other time Duncan and other immortals knew if a person would. Become one but why don't other immortals try to kill richie
I did not startceatching it until 2010 o got Parkinson's diease and could not work any longer so started watching this. Forever Kinght wss another good one
I never the entire last season until reccently kept on seeing a Vido of him saying good and acting like he was leaving which was made good, saw watch the last season the last 4 esp he just stop being on it and it just ended
@@Romulan2469Yo when Duncan was going crazy and cut Richies head oh man his whole body sank and his heart dropped and soul left him. Duncan never forgave himself.
@@PiazzaGurl True but it wasn't his fault but he took the burden of the guilt. I find the whole Highlander story tragic. I liked the first two seasons but then it got very dark after that. In fact, I felt the show fell apart when Tessa died.
that has to be one of the bad things about being a immortal.. get close to people and they die, have to move about every 5 years so people will not suspect anything...

@@altha-rf1et I agree. But on the other hand Duncan gets a lot of credit for not shying away from having relationships even friendships and didn’t turn cold knowing he’d outlive them.
This episode almost made me quit watching the show .. it was so poorly written, stories piled on top of each other , with no real answer dont get it twisted i loved the highlander show . I just feel this particular episode should have been more . The writers could have done so much more the death of tessa and the awakening of richie should have been much more climatic there should have been more detail
