Hello, I was wondering if you would make a test which h1 bulb is best because the diamond vision f9 and novsight n60 don't offer them in the h1 bulb type, thanks!
I dove deep into the LED rabbit hole and relied solely on your videos and spreadsheet to make my decision. I went with the luxster punisher for both high and low bulbs and I couldn't be happier. I also purchased the fahren forscher for my fog lights and they're great as well. Your channel is incredibly underrated. I wish more people would do research before buying that $15 amazon 4 pack of LEDs
These are all cheap Asian Amazon bulbs anyways. Look up bulb facts and how they actually review all bulbs from cheap Amazon to high end American and European premium 300 dollar led bulbs. They provide real lux numbers and measurements and not just pushing for affiliate commission links
@angelloza2038 I had to aim them down a little bit because I was blinding oncoming traffic but I do also have the front of the truck leveled. I don't have any issues now
Can you do HID’s? No one does tests or content like you do. You’re the best and always go to you for light recommendations for my family and friends! Would love it if you start doing HID’s as well
I have a 2025 Ram Rebel. I have stock LED headlight bulbs. The light they put out is not sufficient. I want to upgrade the. Do I need to purchase LED bulbs with drivers, or since I am replacing LED bulbs for LED bulbs can I replace the bulbs only? 4:56
If the vehicle has a LED assembly/driver built-in by the car manufacturer, it cannot be replaced. Only standard Halogen bulbs (or aftermarket LED bulbs) can be replaced with different LEDs.
@@CarLightReviews HeadlightRevolution has videos claiming to show that the GTR Ultra II, a not particularly bright light, is as bright as a 55 watt HID. However, I trust LightWerkz more and he states that 55 watt HID projectors (with the G5-BRT being the brightest overall among them) are still significantly brighter than any LED projector, with the NHK IV+ & V being the brightest of those.
@@CarLightReviews As for upgrading factory halogen headlights, I suspect HID will be the brightest option for projectors and LED will be for reflectors. However, there does not seem to be any conclusive evidence on the subject, so a test with your testing methods would be greatly appreciated!
Auxito just came out with d2s led 2 weeks ago I just bought them for my lexus d2s. They are pretty good but i geel like they put more light on the sides and right in front of the car and not ao much further down like 25 feet. Hid do better at 25feet but i wanted leds. Im stoll looking for the brightest light but if not ill keep my auxito d2s led
@@wahidjavid51 yeap, I tried the Auxito and had the same experience as you. Did not like it at all so I sent them back. I think there is still some ways to go before LED can completely replace the HID system.
Great information manny factors i was not even aware of 👌🙏 What is the difference between lux and lumens? Yesterday I fitted Philips Xtreme Ultinon 18w 1500lm bulbs for lowbeam. I hope the light will be brighter than the 35w HID bulbs that was in there previously as the HID's were realy crappy. I also discovered the driver side high beam HID bulb is dead, I want to replace the high beam bulbs with LED as well, from your video it seems a bulb that retain its brightness well after 27 minutes is important.
Yeah man! Which of your led bulb models would fit for my D3S hid bulbs, please? If so,,,give us a link! If not, when do you plan to make those? Thnx for any feedback... (My car is Audi A3 TDI, 2011, stock D3S hid)
@@gezimlimoni2319 several weeks later and down to only a few sets (have more coming). But out LEDs aren't made for HIDs since that is a different design and electrical requirement.
Thanks for the video. I've been very happy with my Novsight n60 LEDs And I can't wait for a future videos to see what can beat them next. Also for HID testing, let's go 2024!!
Also are there any bulbs other than the Morimoto and GTR lighting ones that offer PWM dimming for DRL mode? It’s one of the nicest features, but both of those lights feel fairly outdated by now
How about NaoEvo? Any chance to review them for D3S model? Or please, give us some of best LED light bulbs which would fit oem D3S on my car! Subscribed...
Hi, the issue is that Dodge RAM senses the wattage and anything over 65W it will turn off. That is why I have the FX5 model at 60-65W for RAM. You can contact me directly.
Diamond vision $100. Luxster $55 on Amazon. Is diamond vision $45 better than Luxster? Brightest for your money and most light retention for your money is all I'm interested in.
Hello. Take a look at his excel spreadsheet of the raw test data for the output at 27 minutes for Projector and Reflector. Also look at the Temperature readings. I have been selling the F9 model (that replaced the F7) since Sept 2022 and have had very little returns (usually if someone ordered the wrong size or it wasn't compatible). No returns saying "not bright enough".
End up buying Novsight N60 after watching the review. it was upgrade from Bevinsee n45, planning to buy Bevinsee N55 but got avarage review, i go for novsight n60. i not regret my decision. Thank Car Light Review.
Your tests are great! I happened to replace the headlamps in three of our vehicles with the Auxbeam F22 , all reflectors. I purchased them before I can across your tests. They have been very good. I would love to see you test the Sylvania LED. They sell them in local stores, and have a well known name. Curious how they are compared to all of the others out there.
After watching this video, I am going to give the Diamond Vision LEDs a try... I have 17 Ram with factory Projectors... Im hoping this works as good as I see in the video. Thanks for reviewing all the LEDs, its a HUGE market with too many brand options.
Honestly if I want to upgrade my high beams even brighter than my Lasfit LAair 9005, I’d switch to either LS plus or LS pro series. I have room for that massive 3” heatsink. I’m still wondering, if that 9005 Lasfit LS pro with a 3” heatsink still has an adjustable collar, just like the LS plus. If it truly does, then that be awesome. If not, then I’d go for LS plus.
hello thanks for your videos. I have a question concerning the 2020 Toyota Yaris 4 Phase 1 that i bought few month ago with originally halogen front bulbs that i would like to change for brighter and whiter lights essentially. My question is which type of socket should i chose and all detail i have to be careful of if there are some ? finally can you give me some of the cheapest ALIEXPRESS solution to deal with?
Fahrens are 30k lumen a pair. Diamond Visions are 19k each, or 38k lumen per pair. Even then, those are ratings from the manufacturer. Look at the spreadsheet to see real numbers. Hope that clears up your question.
@@jasonjones2979 thank you for that information however see 30,000LM each for Fahrenheit and 19,000LM each for diamond vision F9 on the spreadsheet So that means fahren would be 60,000LM & diamond vision would be 38,000LM. So how is 60,000LM not brighter than 38,000LM which is said to be tested on the spreadsheet
@@Camaro_x looks like it's a typo my friend. If you look up the Fahrens you will see they are listed by the manufacturer as 30k/pair. The Diamonds listed as 38k/pair by their manufacturer. Looks like maybe just a typo by CLR.
Our F9 headlights are rated at 38000 lumens per set (19000 per bulb). But more importantly are the Lux readings. I would suggest that you watch his F9 Review from early 2023 and then look at the spreadsheet that he has linked in the description.
Just ordered a set of H7 Punishers from watching your vid. They are having a super sale for next couple hours I got mine for $48!! These will be going into my 2012 F150 with those good looking but crappy light output aftermarket projector housings. Hope I can see at night.
Great Video as always. I would like older lights to be included in your ranking, if they are still available and outperform newer lights. Like "best buy" might just be a 2022 modell, if it's more bang for the buck. U did the average data comparison at the start of this video, maybe a quick comparison between this year's and last year's winners could be included as well.
Thanks, someone else also suggested something similar to that. But you don't need me to make a video for that, you can make that decision on your own by comparing the data at carlightreviews.com/headlightspecs. This video is basically a yearly summary of what stood out. :)
I have a 2018 subaru crosstrek with the halogen headlights. It uses the high beam bulb as the DRL most of the time. When headlights turn on, DRL turns off. Then they come on full brightness when you click highs obviously. Would there be a canbus LED bulb that could work for DRL/High beam? Ideally in yellow
I’ve been using the Auxbeam F22 for almost 6 months now because of this video. I’ve tried a bunch of LED lights with my reflector housing, but man these are PERFECT. Can’t say thank you enough! I was using Auxito but one of the lights went out after about 6 months.
I can say I ordered the Novsight N60 and Sealight S7S. I installed Sealights first. Great. Then installed Novsight next. And expected to be blown away given your test results. Not even close. The Novsight N60 were a huge disappointment. Almost unsafe to drive. Don't understand. 🤨
I used to buy amazon bulbs, bought my first morimoto pair about a year ago, never gping back, brightness stays the same ALWAYS, when testing light output seems to be less, but that is because there is less of a hotspot and more light in general, they are much better overall, beam pattern is always close to perfect no matter what. The cooling system is just ideal, they heat up the enclosure a little bit, that makes snow melt (not as fast as halogen or HID), the color temperature is an almost perfect pure white... I would say, just spend the extra 100-150bucks and be happy
I'm really glad I've found this page. Had been really helpful in recommending lights at certain price ranges and brightness. Would be nice to see where a set of NINEO LEDs land in the test.😊. Luxster for the win🎉
Hey hope you're doing well. I just got some Cougar Motor Ultimate F6 series 9008/H13 120W ,30 000 LM for my 2010 Ram 1500 and I was wondering what are your thoughts about those LED headlights bulbs? Thanks for sharing your experience with all of us on RU-vid, have a great one bud, take care.
Most aftermarket LED bulbs are the same internal across sizes but with different mounting collars and sometimes different chip placement distance. The slight exception is dual filament bulb replacements in which case the high beam chip is obviously the addition, but the low beam chip is typically the same.
Great reviews! Would love to see you set up a fog light reflector housing and do some of the fog lights out there, both yellow and white to see which ones are good to add for aftermarket upgrades.
Was wondering if you could get a few more OEM projectors from a couple of different vehicle makes. My understanding is that projectors vary from brand to brand and this could be why people have different experiences. Of the 15 different brands I've tried on my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee (and the stock projectors suck), I have discovered that brightness alone is not as important as the design. My projecters seem to be more sensitive to the thickness and length of the LED light housing portion than other projectors. Shorter and thinner for my projectors seem to throw light further down the road.
Hello, your videos are incredible, I have a question, if my headlights says 55/60 watts, but the auxbeam f22 says 110watts, will they be compatible?, both are H4
You have to define "best". What is most important in an LED lighting upgrade for YOUR needs? Brightness? Value? Quality? Pick two of the three. Then, take a look at my spreadsheet at carlightreviews.com/headlightspecs and review/compare the data based on the two categories you chose. That should help!
@@CarLightReviews I want a light that is bright and good beam pattern. I have lasfits in my GTi and I wanna get some for my dad but his are h13 and I wanna make sure they are good. Lasfit overall is good rught?
I'm new to your channel I wanted to know do you have a video on best projector headlight housing LED? Or which ones go best in a projector housing? Thank you 🙏
So quick question the luxster and novsight n60 is better and brighter in a non projector headlight than auxito LED cause im looking for some bright bright led headlights and fog light and i bought a set of auxito led and they were pretty bright so i thought i would ask u thanks for your vids cant wait to see your flashlights as well i love em and have a couple to work or use at night
I just bought the Luxster H7 for my R3 Bike, hope they do better than my actual Acuma Led from Hikari, got the Luxster with a really good discount from your coupon got Luxster for 35 USD and free delivery. Greeting from Colombia.
Hi, I own 2012 Honda pilot. I would like to upgrade my high beam that also function as DRL. Could you please suggest LED bulb that drl would still work? Thanks in advance.
Unfortunately, I can't suggest a recommendation for specific vehicles as I can't test them all, I am sorry to say. That's why I can offer a baseline reference. However, I do suggest that you review my headlight data spreadsheet here: carlightreviews.com/headlightspecs and use that data to guide your decision. Sorry I cannot be more specific to your needs!
Diamond Vision F9 H11 are sold out. Can you recommend me another good LED for a reflector headlight? I honestly don’t care how it looks I just want one that is bright I I can see everything on the road at night.
Can you provide a best led for oem style replacement. Needs to be direct fit with fan mounted at base plate(or fanless). Not looking at brightness but for universal application.

If there isn't one for the driver, that means it is the all-on-one ORM halogen size/style. Finally, do not buy a fanless version. They do not perform well at all. There's a reason all of the major names have a fan somewhere in the unit. That should help!
I recently installed a pair of Auxito LEDs (2024 update) in my wife's 2012 beetle and they have a nearly perfect beam pattern. Huge improvement over the crappy old LEDs i installed a few years ago
Testing HID 35w,55w,75w,100w,150w and 300w. I got 100 watt hid kit and truly does pull 95 watts pre bulb which is crazy, but would love to see how they compare to other lighting

Purchased luxster and i am pleased with output pure white color and bright enough ... H4 application Reflector type 🎉🎉.. Thanks for making great reviews 👍
Very excited to see this! Can you help with a recommendation? I am looking for a bulb to use as in a reflector style high-beam. I’ve been debating between the Hikari Titanova 2023 and the Novsight N60. The new n60 is obviously much brighter, has a slightly better pattern in reflectors, but also runs hotter and has a greater drop off in intensity. I think the extra heat should be manageable, but I have a couple of concerns keeping me from getting the Novsight that are not addressed in your chart or video: How is the build quality of the Novsight in comparison to the Titanova? I know Hikari makes decently solid bulbs, but it’s difficult to tell from the video how the Novsight compares. In reality, are the ultra-bright bulbs like the Novsight too bright to flick between high beams and low beams and retain your sight at night? Like is the difference between the brightness of the high-beams and low-beams too much to the point of it making it difficult to see using the low-beams after turning the high beams off? My low beams are 35watt xenon projectors. Would it make more sense to wait for the next generation of Hikari lights to see if they outshine the Titanovas? And lastly what would you choose for yourself in your daily driver?
If u want the most reliable led bulbs and very low temperature. For both low and high beams. I’d recommend Lasfit - LA plus. Both makes 30 watts per bulb, 3000 lumens per bulb, and 6000k pure white. I want car light reviews to have better results than what they claim. But we have bulbfacts covered that The real results is 28.7 watts per bulb, 3700 lumens per bulb or over 800+ maximum lux at 25 feet. The kelvin color is actually 5950. And the temperature is up to 96 degrees Fahrenheit. Super cool temperature while it perform extremely well. I’d recommend those for both low and high beams.
I purchased the auxito for a 2015 ram 1500 I purchase the high beams low beams and fog light, but when I switch from the low beams to high beams after I'm done with the high beams the low beams won't come back on I have to turn off the truck and turn it on so they come back up. H11, H9, fogs. Do you have an idea why that happens I'm on my second set of lowbeams in less then a month and still with the same problem
Yes, because your truck is equipped with a pretty sophisticated PWM system that monitors your lighting circuits. The LED's use less power than the original halogen bulbs and it senses that. As a precaution it is shutting down that circuit.
Many times you can get around this by using resistors. There's also many plug and play options on the market sold as "error cancelers" or "canbus adapters".
Check the the description for links to every light mentioned in this video. Those links go to the full test and review videos, which also includes projector and reflector output tests.
don't say it too early, most of these products failed to work within 2 years time even though they mention 50000 hours life. Use them everyday and light them up say 5 hours a day and see if they can last for 2 years before mentioning that.
Purchased the Fahen Termitor 2024 all in one, unfortunately it gave my 2016 Jeep Cherokee the "low beam out" on my dash...returning them and just placed an ordered for the Luxster Punisher from this video using your discount code....hopefully these won't trip that warning on my dash. The Termitor were a really great upgrade from the standard halogen bulbs. Looking forward to trying the Luxster.
This issue may not be with the replacement LED, but with your vehicle. Some vehicles (including Jeep/Chrysler/Dodge) do not like LED upgrades and need a CANBUS decoder. In these situations, I always suggest that you consult your favorite social media group or message board specific to your vehicle.
@CarLightReviews thank you for explaining that to me! I'll try Punisher lights and if I get the same result, I'll purchase the decoder....hopefully I'll have enough room for both the decoder and external driver in my headlight housing lol
You bet, hope it helps. You might want to check out this link: geni.us/antiflicker Can't guarantee that it is the solution without knowing more about your vehicle, but it might show you options.
Thanks for the round up. But headlights aren’t cars, model year doesn’t really apply. I think you should do a “best of” for those that’s still available to be purchase at end of each year instead. Old models may perform better than new.
@@CarLightReviews not exactly, many of the lights you tested in 2022 are still available on amazon right? you should include those. From a user case point of view, we are interested in what's the best in each category of what's available on the market today. not necessary what you tested in 2023 only. if you include what you tested in 2022 and 2021 (if they are still being sold on your links) that makes much more usable sense for this video
Thanks, someone else also suggested something similar to that. But you don't need me to make a video for that, you can make that decision on your own by comparing the data at carlightreviews.com/headlightspecs. Or, just compare this year's winners to last year's.
There are no LED headlight upgrades like the ones shown in this video that are made in America that I am aware of. There are a few American-based companies such as Diode Dynamics, Diamond Vision, and X-7Seven that source the products from overseas.
What's better to get 65k or 8k for a chevy tahoe want to change them ugly yellow ones for some white bright ones.. hopefully cop don't stop me.. what do u recommend??
8k? No way. The closer to 5,772 k the better. Unfortunately, very few LED upgrade manufacturers make an upgrade close to that color. Don't want to be pulled over? 1) Don't use weird colored headlight upgrades. 2) Aim the headlights carefully and accurately. 3) If you cain't aim it correctly and accurately without scattering, don't use it.
