Sadly, no. My favorite Novsight N37 is not even there in your reviews. Thanks for your spreadsheet and awesome review on Hikari Titanova (15K Lumens). Can't wait to see you do more reviews on other Novsight bulbs like N67 (15K Lumens) which might be a good contender for Titanova. Or maybe Novsight N60 (20K Lumens) to compare with Fahren Termitor. Currently using N37 and I'm looking for new bulbs worth upgrading to. Cheers!
Need advice for sons 2006 eclipse which has a H13 bulb. Thinking either: Hikari Core 20000Lm $27.00 Auxbeam F15 20000Lm $45.00 Sealight Scoparc 20000Lm $52.99 Any advice?
@@betod3113 You have to define "number 1". What is most important in an LED lighting upgrade for YOUR needs? Brightness? Value? Quality? Pick two of the three. Then, take a look at my spreadsheet at carlightreviews.com/headlightspecs and review/compare the data based on the two categories you chose. Also have a look at my awards video for 2033: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mCPfobbCDvg.htmlsi=2s_4Qdip0hnV_pyt That should help!
i have a 2019 honda civic which has separate high n low beams. should high beams always be brighter than low beams or can they have the same lumens? i'm interested in the hikari titanova's which are 30k lumens but i haven't seen anything brighter. should i go with a lower lumen for low beams and use titanova's for highs or buy 2 sets of titanovas?
Most of the time, single emitter LED headlights are the same within a model and the mounting collars are different. It is the headlight assembly that focuses the light differently between low and high beam. So pick what you like and what works best for your application.
The beam pattern and cut off is very sharp and excellent. The only thing I'm trying to get use to is the color. It's a bit too white for my liking. I had xenon depot 4300k hid Phillips bulbs before this. Also, while the LEDs are bright close distance, I'm still not sure if the lights actually project as far as hid. I need to do further testing to see if I want to keep them.
@radonc7913 The Hikari titanova specifically states "WIDER BEAM". Hikari Thunder and Prime Zes models are specifically for a focused beam, which has a further throw... That's the problem with people using LED bulbs in the wrong housing, and for the wrong reason. The titanova should be used as a high beam, being that it gives a wide beam, with super bright lumens, and should only be used for short periods of a time.
I bought 2 different brand led bulbs based on your reviews earlier this year. I’m happy with their performance but as the year went on, the newer led bulbs got better. Got to hold my self back from upgrading.
A shame that you didnt get the chance to review a pair of Novsight N60US series 2022 upgraded version LEDs, which they claim to run at 200W a pair. While I was looking for an upgrade to my H11s on my Ford Fusion, I was stuck between choosing a pair of those and the mentioned Farhen Termitors, and I eventually chose the latter because the former went out of stock for my needed size, though I bought a pair of Novsight N60US H13s for my Kia Soul and they're way brighter than I expected. I wanted to see if those Novsights hold up to their advertising with their wattage rating though. I hope you'll get to review those in the near future.
@@NoName-ml5yk When I had the vehicle, they worked fantastic, but they can definitely blind oncoming drivers with ease. I had to aim my headlamps all the way down. They were a nice warm white color, unlike most LEDs that have a cooler bluish color.
That all depends on your definition of "better". Nice, you got yourself a pair of ddm... Can't wait to see if the old king can battle against newcomers.. I got a pair but I'm so curious to see if your best choices this year, the Hikari and termitor, will beat the ddm convincingly... Hopefully down the line we can see the ddm 65w as well.
The DDM 55w accu v2 is what I'm interested in learning about. Also deAuto has a good reputation but no idea how their lights stack up against any of these.
The X-7Seven are only good for single beam reflector housings. I Installed the h13 bulbs in my cruze and the low beam is great. I can’t complain, but the high beam scatters everywhere.
Do you ever test h7 bulbs? My wife drives a Mercedes that uses h7 bulbs for both the low and high beams. I’m on a mission to find the best bulb for her car. The main issue I have noticed is that Mercedes decided to use a funny adapter to secure the bulb to the housing. They do make adapter brackets, but the cooling fans get in the way, so I need to find a bulb with a removable collar/base so I can slip the adapter on behind it. Do you know what brands have a collar that is removable in an h7? Sorry for the long message!
Just realized that the Fahren Termitor H7s I received have the ability to remove the adjustable base! So they will work great with my Mercedes adapters. Excited to see how much light they put out in the reflector housings. 🔦
Can you also check which led foglights are best? It seems many leds on market can cause glare in reflectors of foglights cause most of them have higher wattage than 30-50w making them susceptible to glare Personally after much research I got a low wattage auxito led which was a huge improvement from my 19w halogen foglight. No glare at all. I think u can go 20w on foglight leds or almost equivalent to 55w halogens
As always an exelent review…💪🏼 I’m a automotive and Bike technician and a like to see more very compact and ultra compact 1:1 ratio led reviews because today cars and bike are very, very low space for the led unit and all most not space for the hardware ballast…
@@CarLightReviews ok but Iam toll about even small led like 1:1 ratio in size like LASFIT H7 LED Bulbs Mini Size, or Auxbeam 2023 Upgraded H7 LED Bulbs, Q20 Series 90W LED ,or the Fahren Krieges H7 LED Headlight Bulbs, 400% Brighter, 2023 Upgraded 1:1 Mini Size
I bought the lasfit, used your link. I hope it fits my truck. But I went with that because I like the heat retention performance. I do longer than normal drives and it's when I'm the most fatigued and driving for longer distances is when I need the lights to stay at their brightest!
@@804MRMAN HID lights are the most powerful in the world, so it is still used in football field and other stadiums. LED lighting is still evolving, and has not yet reached the power of HID.
great videos. helps me decide what to buy. sadly, most of the products you have shown are not available here in the Philippines. for 2023, can you also include a test, as to how far the lights can project?
Sorry that you have a hard time getting LED light upgrades in the Philippines. I don't do testing outside of my controlled environment because my external environment is different than everyone else's, and it can give a false assumption that what works great for me will work great for everyone, no matter the environment...which is not true. That's why I suggest that everyone rely on MY data first, and then YOUR real-world testing second to determine if the LED light upgrade works best.
Unfortunately, I can't suggest a recommendation for specific vehicles as I can't test them all, I am sorry to say. That's why I can offer a baseline reference. However, I do suggest that you watch this video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YMxLhQtwB7I.html as well as any videos I made after it, and then review my headlight data spreadsheet here: carlightreviews.com/headlightspecs and use that data to guide your decision. Sorry I cannot be more specific to your needs!
With current technology - unfortunately not. Most LED bulbs will either flicker, turn on full blast (driving with high beams all the time), turn off completely, or throw errors with any of the above when used as DRL's.
Marketing. LED headlight manufacturer A comes up with a number that looks good enough on Amazon to sell products. But what is the testing mechanism? What is the testing environment? Who knows? Then...LED headlight manufacturer B sees that and adds more numbers. See previous questions. Are they simply making things up? Maybe. Good luck finding an answer...which is why I started this channel to begin with. I am leveling the playing field with consistent testing and honesty. 😎
After trying out a few brands and wattages H11 leds I’ve noticed at least on my projectors the brightness can be too much. What I mean is that if the brightest area is the part directly in front of the car (10-60ft) then the remaining beam length looks darker. The throw needs to be long for the hotspot. The Auxito y13 has very good balance but on your tests I’ve noticed the results are middle of the road at best and the hotspot is low. That’s why I have learned through your channel how to choose the best led types for my application.
Thanks for the input. As you may know, the closer the hotspot is to the cutoff line, the farther the light will project. I started emphasizing this a while back. Glad the videos help.
The best retained light output over time in a reflector housing according to your spreadsheet and according to your other videos should have been the Fahren Termitor. The 3,848 lux you sited for the retained light output over time of the Titanova is actually the retained light output of the Fahren Termitor according to your spreadsheet and previous video on the Termitor.
Thanks for that correction, Michael. And you are 100% correct, I misread my own data. As you know, there is a lot to juggle. 🤨 I will edit it in the description. Do me a favor and email your shipping address to info@carlightrevierw.com and I'll fire you a couple of CLR goodies. Thanks!
@@CarLightReviews Will do. I only caught that because I have the exact same reflector housing you tested with in my truck, and I used your reviews to help make my purchasing decision. Thanks for all the good work!
Can you test those LED, the "Philips Ultinon Pro 9100" , "Philips Ultinon Pro 5100", the "DDM Tuning Saber ProX 55W accuv/v2 4500k and 6000k", the" DDM Tuning Saber ProX 65w", Fahren Terminator 2023", the "Boslla 140w 16800 lumens", and the "Cougar Motor Flagship",and can you measure color to know what the real color, lower color it's better for bad weather. Can you test some "HID Conversion Kit": Xenon Depot XTR HID Kit with Philips XV2 capsules, GTR Lighting HID Kit, and Morimoto Elite 2.0 HID Kit Can you too test all Osram , Philips, Morimoto, GTR Lighting, and Xenon depot (D1,D2,D3,D4 and D5 bulbs). Can you test them (LED & HID) in "Low Beam" & "High Beam", if possible. It would be greatly appreciate.
@CarLightReview Could you please make a new video of which is the best 2-3 kelvin colors of the H11 led bulbs from between, AuxBeam - H11 X60-THREE COLORS SWITCHBACK LED FOG LIGHTS 44W 8000LM, Boslla B4 - 3 Colors H11 H8 H9 LED Headlight Bulb 6500K 4300K 3000K, and Lasfit H11 LD Plus Series Switchback LED Bulb Fog Lights/Turn Signal Lights White & Amber? Which is the best, which is not good for the longevity, which one is worth the money, and why which one is the best of the best design? All 3 has an external driver, but one of them are fanless and why is it a fanless led bulb makes it not worth having one for the longevity. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 please please please make those three in one clip.
Very interesting. One reson LED lights can be so blinding besides colour and brightness is many LED’s are not suited to the headlight housing they are installed in. Check out Headlight Revolution. They test lots of bulbs in specific vehicles and advise on which ones produce the best beam pattern for your vehicle. I think the average person who upgrades to LED’s doesn’t do it right and flood the highways with scattered bright lights that blind oncoming traffic. I’ve adjusted mine the best I can but I’ll probably switch to the best recommended LED’s that Headlight Revolution has tested in my specific vehicle. Thanks for a very informative video.much appreciated.
If you check my data spreadsheet at carlightreviews.com/headlightspecs you will see in column AA and AB that the coolest at the time of this comment is the Lasfit LS Plus, if you can fit it in your housing: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-k0UInI0A5Aw.html
Just bought the newest Naoevo 180W, 21600lm a pair. Boslla is a rebranded from Naoevo, so same bulbs.. they "only" have the 140W version at the moment, So the new version have faster fan. bigger chips and heatpipes. 130dollars +shipping :P
Very good reviews but please add some D3S/projector xenon replacements. Millions use D3S xenons so your in depth tests would be welcome! I've used G Brite D Series LEDs and I'd like to see how they compare
I’m planning on changing out my fog lights on my Tahoe and was curious what you thought was the best 5202 bulb… if you have recommendations for a budget one and one at any price point?
Great summary 👏🏻 Based on your reviews I've got Termitor for high-beam and Titanova for low-beam... The Titanova goes to projector housing and I'm not sure about the positioning... It has some blocking shield at the bottom so should I also position it 9 - 3 clock???🤔
@@michaelbarone260 There's a "rib" on the titanovas and there is some confusion as to whether this should be pointing up or down. (leds are still at 9 and 3 in both positions)
More clarification is needed, but I think he's talking about a "blocking shield" inside the projector housing. And it doesn't matter which 9 & 3 the LEDs are at, they still work with any 2 sided led bulb.
I haven't tested HID to LED conversions yet. So far, there is not enough evidence that it is an upgrade at least in terms of light output. I have been researching it, but I have nothing conclusive yet. Stay tuned, I will eventually give it a try anyway to see how it ends up in my environment.
I find it slightly annoying you talking about headlights when you actually mean bulbs. Maybe this is due to english not being my native language, but to me a "headlight" has always meant the complete assembly, not just a bulb.
You find it annoying that I use the correct term for _my_ native language? 🤣 No worries. It is a grey area. Since we are talking about replacing incandescent BULBS with LED upgrades, it is easy to also call the replacement unit a "bulb". However, a bulb is typically an "an electric light with a wire filament heated until it glows. The filament is enclosed in a glass bulb with a vacuum or inert gas to protect the filament from oxidation. Current is supplied to the filament by terminals or wires embedded in the glass." (www.wikiwand.com/en/Incandescent_light_bulb). Since LED upgrades are not enclosed in a glass bulb nor do they have a filament, it is not really accurate to refer to them as "bulbs". In some of my early reviews of LED upgrades I referred to them as "bulbs" and someone pointed out to me that they really aren't. I agreed and switched my terminology...but sure, some people still do call them "bulbs". Even some manufacturers do...probably to not annoy anyone. 🤪 Headlights do indeed mean headlight assemblies (sometimes I say "headlight housings")...but LED headlight upgrades can also mean "headlights" as a short reference. At least,, that's how I see it. You can call them whatever you like, though.😁
pardon my english , there seems a mistake there, i was trying to get led under 35W (or near it) (my projector max allowance wattage), trying to get best wattage vs lux and i see Lastfit LS Plus, in your google sheet said it's 36W perbulb and 33W real wattage. but i see from the website, Lastfit LS Plus is 90W per pair or 45W per bulb. can you confirm the correct wattage number (spec and real) ? i want to buy it but i need to confirm because i am outside USA, shipping fee and import tax quite expensive for me :D Thanks!
@@celakobradepot7627 My apologies. I wish I could confirm your needs, but I can only report the data from the unit that I have on hand at the time that I make the video. Sometimes they update h product, or the web site, or both. Try reaching out to Lasfit?
@@CarLightReviews maybe that's the case, they updated it. Thank you sir! I only asked because from your data sheet it seems their lux vs wattage is the most efficient higher than other (33w and 1800lux) and if the wattage is 45 perbulb or near that, then the datasheet gonna be seems more consistent with other. As for right now seems i am not gonna contact them because their spec now is out of my list. hopefully you will add philps ultinon g2 or pro3021 to the datasheet, i've been using it and it quite bright, just want to see the comparison between all led available in usa. Love your channel..... One recommendation is real real life wattage output. Also have a question .... I bought the Sea light L2's and get a dash light out warning on a 2016 Volvo S80. I went back and forth with emails with them (bad language barrier) , but they said they would send out a set of resistors ....What I got was another set of can-bus decoders, which the lights already had. The question ....can I add another set of can-bus to the existing ones..??? Thanks brother.
I mention actual wattage in every review video and I log it on my headlight test spreadsheet that I also mention in every video. As far as using multiple canvas decoders on a single light, I wouldn’t suggest it, I’ve bet heard personally of something like that being necessary or working. I’d reach back out to the company.
I was actually surprise u prefer the hikariqled lights are the brightest ones. I honestly was thinking more, and the brightest led light is GTR Lighting - ultra 2. Those are extremely bright. For price is $220 a pair low beam and $235 a pair for high beam.

I'm kinda curious how vleds extreme led headlights would compare to ddm or gtr ultras. They don't use crazy stats to advertise their output.. also colour temperature is a big deal as well. A bulb that performs well in wet/fog/snowy is a big deal. Just food for thought.
I agree... VLEDs are very unique. I have been keeping an eye on them and would love to test them in the future. And typically, whiter lights don't do as well as lights that are more halogen colored. Thanks for the suggestion.
Good question. You said a key word there....""claim". They claim a certain amount of brightness, but they don't state how they arrived at that level. Well...Diode Dynamics does...but I don't know of any others that do. We don't know if they calculate based on actual testing or just a guess/estimate based on the components they use. For all we know, they make the numbers up. They may look at competing published brightness claims and add 1,000 to it...and the number they are looking at may be made up as well. Who knows? We don't. That's why I created this channel...to see REAL data compared to halogen.
I can't make recommendations for specific vehicles. However, to help answer your question, watch the video that is associated to this comment. Also, check the headlight spec sheet: carlightreviews.com/headlightspecs
Good point! Yes, it is beleived that the Acuma is indeed the same as the Hikari Titanova. In fact, I mentioned it in the original Titanova testing video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OQtRfUY0L6U.html
Great reviews. I really appreciate the work you put into these. Bought the Terminor to replace the Hikari Eye of Megatrons (one bulb has gone out--just past warranty) I've been running, and looking forward to see how they compare. Thanks again for all the work you're putting in.
So far, this is the top all-time video 😃at least for now...and in my opinion. I'd say let the actual data be your guide on what is your definition of "top". carlightreviews.com/headlightspecs And it wouldn't be accurate to compare the lights on this channel with the lights on my other one, just because my testing methods are different now.
Your reviews are simply the best Jason Your method and competence in determining the main attributes of each bulb you've reviewed on your spreadsheet has made it simple and straight forward for selecting the best bulbs for my vehicle. For me brightness and retention are the main factors, so it's was easy to choose. For my 2017 Nissan Pathfinder, I placed the Hikari Titanova in the projector 'low beam' for light retention, as they are used at all times and Fahren Timidor in the reflector 'High beam' for brightest output for shorter periods on dark back roads. I got them just before Christmas, and based on the results of your rewards video, I'm so glad I have the 2 winners. and they certainly didn't disappoint as the actual results are startling. My gosh, night driving has become so much fun, just by being able to see so clearly without staining to see what up ahead. So relaxing now. I cannot over emphasize, as you've always expressed the importance of ensuring that when using these powerful upgrades, we NEED to have them focused properly, particularly to ensure the comfort and safety of other road users. I'm a fan for life and you have my commitment to keep spreading the word on your fantastic reviews, as the one stop shop for the best in lighting! Looking forward to the next one. I have not tested them yet so I couldn't include them in this video. I do have them on my list. Please help me purchase a set for testing by clicking the THANKS button in this video! 😊
You were shot on about X-7Seven customer service. They're awesome!!! I called them and they are very helpful. I ordered the Apollo series for my Dodge's headlights and X-F2 series for the foglights. Tks for being so informative 👏 👌 👍
I tested that on my other channel before I created this one. I used slightly different testing methods then, but you can have a look here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0N9419LxeIU.html
I have thought about it. I am just trying to think of how I would test them. Maybe I'll give it a shot! Got any particular brands you'd like to see me start with? What kinds of tests would you like me to perform that would help you make an informed purchase decision?
@Car Light Reviews Awesome thanks I was just using the comments as note pad haha. So I can see the average values and compare later. I'm curious to see if the lights I have are above or below average for the year. Thanks for the reviews, I went with Farhen Kreiges Awesome based off your review the reflector housing values for Kreiges: Initial: 4180lux After 27min: 3260lux Putting them in a decent position on the list well above average and much cheaper than the Terminitor in Canada. I'm happy with the purchase. I had the Farhen Forshurs before and was impressed with the quality.
After a month I have dead bulb tested on another vech with same 9007 conector and no dice, seeing what Fahren support can do for me. In the mean time I think i will order the Hikari future novas
Thanks for much for the support, Dave! I am just one guy, so I can only test in in one size, which is H11. However, typically the specs are the same across all sizes for each model of bulb, so you can use my suggestions in this video as well as the data in my spreadsheet in carlightreviews.com/headlightspecs.
Currently, I have the Auxito Y13 in one vehicle, which is reflector. They do the job for my wife. :) I have been using the DDM Tuning SaberLED ProX 55W Accu/V2 in y projectors of my main vehicle for over a year. They are great. I could upgrade to something else, but I just haven't gotten around to it. Just how it goes. I always say, "some of the best plumbers in the world have terrible plumbing in their own houses." 🤣
Thanks for the suggestion, but one thing I can can say is that currently, LED headlight upgrades without a fan do not perform well. Quite simply, the heat increases which decreases the output significantly. It would have to be a very impressive design with new technology to perform well against lights with a fan...and even more so against lights with a fan and an external driver.
In LED headlight upgrades, the low beam vs high beam difference often comes tow to the mounting collar being different and the housing being a reflector and not a projector. Take a look at your low beam vs your high beam assembly design and tell me if I am incorrect.
Hello I shopping for an LED for a refector headlight but can't decide is for a 2023 kia soul... Do you think I should go with the Fahren Tormitor? I'm looking for an 9003/H4
