Looked like the good ol boys back together, you have a whole team there, thanks , I love it , good job, praise Jesus Christ grace amen, thanks BigAl California
Nice choice of rims I think they fit the look well. Watching this is getting me excited to start on mine, but it's finally starting to snow in Michigan.
We currently have the storm that you had yesterday. Wind knocked down a power pole up the road from me and we are currently running on a generator. I went out and bought metal today for the new firewall and trunk floor.
Many hands made light work of putting the body on the chassis ! Actually the tractor made light work of the lifting and the hands just guided it on. Great day with some ole friends!
I must have watched this video 3x already, just love the look of this car. What size rear wheels are those and size of rear tire, im hoping to take a tail dragger and transform it into a nose high digger
Well the wheels are not an easy answer. They appear to be the American Racing wheel TT O www.americanracing.com/american-racing-vintage-tt-o with the valve stem inside the wheel but they do not offer my size wheel in that style. A close match is the Classic Torq Thrust II Custom. The valve stem is in the rim but looks like the same wheel and does not offer my size. The wheels that I have are 15X10 www.americanracing.com/american-racing-vintage-classic-torq-thrust-ii-custom They must have stopped production on that wide of a wheel. The tire size 30.0/10.5-15. I hope this helps.
The engine has cast iron pipes, there is no roll cage, the body is a four door...good grief, and the frame isn't painted. Will the interior steel be taken out and replaced with an aluminum interior? Is the body going to be all steel or will the doors and hood be replaced with fiberglass panels and plexiglass side windows?
Headers will come later, as will the blower, roll cage has yet to be built, not sure the rules require it for the speed we will be going (will be ET racing), The price was right for a four door and it will be the only one at the track. Body will remain metal with glass windows. My wife will be driving, concerned more about safety than speed. With the dragster we went 200MPH in 8 seconds 1/4 mile. Objectives have changed with this vehicle. Sorry.
That is strange, I can only think that we put the motor mounts in different places. What did you do for a master cylinder? I do not think I have enough room on the firewall and am thinking of putting it under the dash. I have ordered both from speedway and will have a future video on it.
@ThrottleStopRacing I haven't put mine in yet but it's a factory location power one event though it won't make any vacuum. I thought about running a manual firewall one but I don't like seeing them on the firewall and headers are already a nightmare
