Haha, "I dont have kids" whew whew! Flashback! Would you mind doing some sort of car tour now that you have CC? Maybe a little in the future when she is traveling more with you?
This video is a godsend because I got my license Thursday and planning on getting a car. I literally sat and wrote what you have in you car to add to mine. You are an amazing person and I aspire to have your skill. Thank you. Yes, even a puppy. No kids either.
For some reason I tend to read comments and I honestly don't know why and will stop going forward. Jen your videos are great, you are very organized hence the name of your channel :-) the things people say really make me wonder why they even bother to watch? Keep the videos coming those of us who love them ...love them the others are gonna hate no matter if this was about your car or about a pen you like..it's who they are haters! Your awesome!
I've seen people commenting on her videos that she only spends her husbands money and all that, but it's their life and I see the value in the work she does around the house. Because, it doesn't matter how many maids you have in your house, you still have to be on top of things. Her videos have helped me a lot and I really appreciate her.
Well here I am again Jen. Watching your videos again...............after watching it over and over again... I still find myself come back to your channel...I love you!!
I never really kept my car as neat or organized as yours, but as I'm getting my new car next week I'm planning to adopt some components from your car organization. Thanks for the inspiration! :)
Love the video,I have a trunk organizer from bed, bath, and beyond and I love it.It makes the trunk so much clutter free.It have two sides(one for reuseable bags and the other for my workout things like boxing gloves)it also have net pockets for flashlight etc..
I am only a 17-year-old girl, I don't drive and I don't have kids or my own home but I watch and re-watch your videos every day, simply because I FEEL more organized when watching your videos. Interesting video, Jen! (:
I love that you have a dog car seat and so many dog things in your car, you are such a good dog mummy! I have been wondering what dog to get since my spanial passed away in the new year and now I am seriously considering a tzu, winnie is so cute!
I totally agree!! A lot of people reply out of pure jealousy or a lack of understanding and appreciation for what she does. I would rather be organized than disorganized and I will accept any piece of single advice that I get that is helpful regardless of from whom it comes:) God bless you and your family! P.S. We don't REALLY know her situation. Perhaps she wants children but cannot right now. If she had children then people would marvel at what she does instead of criticize.
Your really prepared, you never know what you may need or someone else. I had tons of stuff in my car (before van) an stuff did come in handy alot of times. Like jumper cables, a tiny silver hammer to break window in emergency, a hanger for locked out of car, extra blanket, jacket, water,( was living in state where it snowed alot), first aid kit, make-up & hair stuff, wipes for everything, change of clothes, towel, running shoes & flip-flops (case I on wanted to walk), multi knife, clippers, pens& paper, lotion, snacks, flash lights, tools, an lots of other stuff. When I had my son, there was even more things for him, also alot of times we'd just stop on spur & get wet at park or creek etc. Alot of the stuff I never needed, but others did & vice versa. Like jumpers & hanger, hammer & tire jack & crowbar.
I just cleaned my car out today and went through the car wash. I popped in a new scentportable from Bath & Body Works and it feels as good as new. I also use a bin in the backseat made by Igloo. It has pockets in the front and all around, but it's also a soft sided cooler. It's really convenient. Thanks for the tips! =)
I just donated a bunch of my reusable bags a few weeks ago. I gave them to my local food bank. With the free ones the stores give out, it sure is easy to accumulate them. I think I donated at least 20. lol. Neat dog car seat.
Someone replied to me something about her having 2 maids. I'm a stay at home mom too and I live in a country where it's really common to have maids. I had 3 at one point in my life, than 2, then one and now this one remaining (she's been with me for 4 years, my kids love her) decided she doesn't want to work everyday, so I'm left doing things I never had to do before. I found so much inspiration in Jen's videos and right now I really don't want to hire someone new to come on the weekdays.
I was so excited to see this in my inbox. I struggle with keeping my car organized and tidy every single day because I practically live out of my car...carting my kids here and there and everywhere takes a toll on cleanliness :-) Thanks!! XOXO
Jen, thanks so much for posting this video! My fiance thinks the way that I organize and keep my car clean is insane. Toting around my 2 month old daughter and my 2 and 4 year old nephews (while their mom is at work) can make your car look like a war zone in only a few minutes, so keeping it organized is a must. God forbid I loose track of a sippy cup or a hotwheels lol.
watched this video back in the day, just ordered a new BMW too and I am so excited thought I would re-watch this to get some fab ideas, loved your videos all these years Jen and they are still so useful
this is the cleanest car I have ever seen in my life...and we've had several brand new from the lot, zero miles cars..that's sad..wish I could be as clean an organized as you.
Having a bin Outside of your car, where , like you said, you will see things that need attention, is Brilliant! I am always forgetting items, even if they are In my car. :) Thank you so much for all that you do for us. Michelle
Hi Jen! Thank you so much for taking the time to upload this video, which I've been waiting for for ages. I basically keep the same things too in my car. I also have tictacs, extra reusable bags, a roll of paper towels, window cleaning spray, a special anti mist towel for when my windscreen gets all steamy when the heat goes on (on the mountains here it can still get cold and it feels nice to have a bit of a warm welcomy car sometimes!), an extra water bottle, loose change etc...
You made me feel good about how my car looks now: clean, organized, and clutter free. Can't believe all the STUFF you have in the front seat! Not counting doggie stuff. Just clutter.
I like the owners manual binder thing that came with your car. Our family car the "binder" isn't big enough for us to stick our car insurance and other car related documents in there so we gotta find room to jam it in the glove compartment.
I love the center console ideas!!!! I just got a new van and these ideas would be great rather than lugging them in my purse all the time, like I do now. I also like the bin near the car for things that need to be tended to. And coupons in the car....I ALWAYS forget them at home and then they end up expiring...it is something that annoys me!!!! And just a note....those maps might be out of date since you bought them 7 years ago. They always make new roads and changes....I learned the hard way a few years back :(
Hi Jen, I disagree with some people that say once you have kids there will be no organization. I have 2 Boys and because I have kids I feel it is extra important to stay organized. I will admit it is a lot harder, but for the most part I maintain my organization. Children can also be trained to be neat. My Boys are not by any means completely neat and organized, but they do a pretty good job especially for being Boys. : )
Loved this video- SO much! I really need to clear out my car and put that system in to place. I love the collapsible bin idea in the trunk. Never thought of doing that for reusable bags! x
I have a solution for your droupping car seat. Next time you remove the cover for washing. Take a piece of card board, cover it in a very hard foam, glue the cardboard and foam to fit, glue to the existing foam. You can find foam spary at Hobby Lobby. You can use a piece of panel board from your local auto interior or trim shop. They may just give it to you or do it for like $35.00 and no more.
Great video, thanks so much for uploading! I got some really good tips. The only thing I can think of to add to you car would be a seat belt cutter and window hammer, so that you could get out of the car if god forbid you ever were to have a accident. Thanks again for taking the time to share your great tips with us xxx
I absolutely agree! I have two children and I have always been a VERY organized person. I did have to accept that there will be times that things won't be in their place, but I'm still a fairly organized person, even with a 5 year old and 3 year old. I try not to let my OCD control me, but it does get the best of me at moments. My kids also know how to pick up and clean up at their age. They are great helpers! =)
Can I advise you to carry a first aid kit in your car. A first aid kit is important in case of a car crash or being able to help someone who is in need or perhaps an injured animal.
Great video Jen! As usual, I learned a lot and I plan to implement many of them. I have a messy car but that will change by this weekend. Thank you Jen!
you had inspired me so SO much that its almost ridiculously! im having so much fun watching your videos and tryring to apply every thing i can! hahaha i just wanted to thank you for all the life changing advices!..
@sharisp2 If you're familar with those plastic cereal holders (with the top that pops open to pour out the cereal), my family uses one of those with a plastic grocery bag inside. just pop the top open and throw out the trash!
I just found your channel a couple weeks ago, Love all of your videos! Including your other channel and Winnies channel :) You've really inspired me to get more organized. Hope you have a great weekend!
I would just suggest you keep a small candle & lighter in your car. My mother drove into a snow drift in Minnesota, and the candle kept her alive until she was found & rescued. (yes, it was a HUGE snow drift!)
You are right. But I am a stay at home mom and still find some of the things that she says about organizing still useful. My house would be totally different if I were an empty nester. But for now I will organize to the best of my ability:)
I had a bit of a chuckle when you said you don't have much in your car because you don't have kids, cause you have more stuff for your dog in your car than I have for my kids. Lol. I have 3 large husky dogs so I can't take one and not the others they are mother father and baby, well baby is already bigger than mom and dad, so they are their own little family. But they are all too big to take with me. Maybe I should get a van for them.
I have the same thing! We have four huskies and we foster as well, so we usually have around 6 dogs, and I only have a small car! It's a nightmare trying to fit all of the dog stuff in sometimes! :')
Nothing better than a clean well organized car. I love the return bin. What an awesome idea. I hope you have your air bags turned off on Winnie's side. Actually it is really bad to have your pup in the front seat with you. I am guilty of this too. : ) I just can't make my baby ride in the back in a crate seems to defeat the purpose of her rides.
aawww i know most people like to wait till they are past 3 months preggers to say .. but we can tell and this makes us very happy for you, so congrats if you are ... you will be a great mother!! sooner or later.. :)
In my car, the driver side airbag is automatically disengaged (a light on the dashboard says OFF) when whatever is in that seat is under a certain weight. I don't have a dog, but heavy bags don't trigger the airbag to turn on--and my boyfriend does :) So hopefully her car does the same thing so that Winnie is safe, and so are humans that may ride in the car.
Jen, nicely done video. How much of the stuff in your car have you used in the past 12 months? If you're not using the manuals, tuck them into the spare tire [trunk] bin. What I didn't see was a window sun screen which keeps the car cooler and protects the dash in bright sun
We've done that before, too! We just load it onto our iPod...also, those are EMPTY lush pots. When you bring 5 back you get a free fresh face mask at the store
Well...his isn't quite so clean! He isn't afraid to leave rubbish in it. He also doesn't store awhile lot in there. Our glove compartments have identical contents. The only things he keeps in his trunk are his golf clubs & extra golf balls.
I always carry a reusable bag with me in my purse the ones that have a slip cover to them. Never know when I'm just out and about and so happen to go on a whim and buy something. Stores here almost all grocery stores don't give out bags. Well they do but its 5 cents each. The whole point is to be environmental. BTW.. your car is lovely. I always wanted a hatchback but afraid not enough trunk space.
Now, don't be confused about this comment. But I have to say, this is one of the best car prep / pepper videos I've seen because I didn't see a lot of the "just in case" I see on other videos like.. A fully loaded ar-15 and a plate carrier. ( of course I'm exaggerating ) but your video shows me things you will use often. And extra things that doesn't ruin the integrity of your car/car space. Awesome vid!
Ive bought soooo many cute bags for shopping, but I always forget them!! Ive put a few in my van, but then again I have to dig for them. Well not dig, theres not much in van, now that my son is older, there just in back. Anywho, good vid.
She mentioned the tire issue though, it seems she is not supposed to do anything with the tires at all, probably something to do with her lease agreement and since there are so many modern delicate electronics built into the car also, I would say the same goes for jump starting it! :)
TFS - I honestly never drink it, it's only for emergencies. I have some aluminum canteen bottles I could replace those with instead...I'll look into it.
Hi Jen! Do you remember where you got the dog water bottle with the ball thingy? My shih tzu is a bit weird, we taught him to drink out of a water bottle and now he will not drink out of a bowl. So when we travel, it makes it difficult because he does not want to drink out of any type of bowl or dish...silly boy! Thanks!!! Love all your videos!!!! Lynn
Some great ideas in this video, I need to go organize my car now lol :) Where do you put trash? I didn't see a trash bin or bag anywhere (maybe I missed it?). That is my biggest pet peeve is trash in the car. Right now I just have an old Sephora plastic bag that I use to collect the trash (I have 2 kids so yeah, there is some trash!) but would like other ideas...
Jen, So fun, because we are doing a car clean and kit this weekend. I always keep an audio book in the car for long trips. My hubby and love to listen to half a book on the way to the beach to see his family, and half on the way home! Just curious>Why are you returning Lush products?
Jennifer, you are looking lovely.. It is like time has stopped. FLASHBACK. I do remember the CD From years back. Happy 🎄HOLIDAYS ☃️To you and yours🎅...M❄️M OF 5
