A big, plush, expensive crossover from Volkswagen...what could possibly go wrong? In this week's review, Mark looks at how the Tiguan can bring families together. Or not. Go here for the full HJ review: www.honestjohn...
Hey everyone. Skip to 1:57 to jump straight into the review, though if you do you'll be missing out on a world class piece of social experimentation and PR industry satire. Well, we say 'world class'...
"You're embarrassing me" is the best line of the review - and one every parent will recognise LOL Will they never stop building these bloody things? Will salloons and hatchbacks ever come back into fashion? Not while people are willing to pay forty grand for a posh Golf. PS the real pulp fiction is at 4:51. Would any of us believe ANY statistics VW publish after Dieselgate?
He didn't mention how it measures up to the Mazda CX-5, great video though and his kids are boss, they remind me of when mine where little and going home was the end of the world.. lol
That VW advert is one of the worst things I've ever seen. I'd definitely be more likely to buy the car with your hilarious family review - it's more honest and your kids are definitely a chip off the old block - natural comedy timing!
When describing a VW: creaking door trim, over the top attention to detail, electronic flakiness "oh, I don't feel like operating my blind spot monitor today, but I will operate my radar, tomorrow I'll just switch those around to make life interesting". And my paint scratches easily!
The review is definitely entertaining but I have no idea whether he recommends it or not....he states he has two kids and a Tiguan so he must think its worthy of a purchase. However he also seems unimpressed with the Tiguan and seems to have only settled because it was "just a bit better than the rest" I dunno......what to think? maybe I will just keep laughing about his daughters reaction, hilarious.
Hey Peter, Mark here. It's not my Tiguan - I had it on test, as per all the cars in the review videos. It's extremely competent, and at £30,000 it's better than anything else in the same class and price range. However, it's also very dull indeed. Personally I'd probably have a Kodiaq instead of one of these, if I was set on buying a large-ish crossover. I'd use the money I'd save to buy a load of decent songs for the kids on iTunes. :-) Hope that helps.
Judging by the girls reaction hmmmm not that nice in real life, right were going home, no i'm sorry! and too young to act, get the feeling she has heard that many times before, and where is the wife? Weekend dad perhaps? hate me if you like
