Two bootlegs come as one, just like that silly conduit (I couldn't upload both of em as singles for some reason so I decided to do this instead) Thank you Sadika for keeping a copy And thank you Erica/Aubrey for uploading the original.
Venus is actually a cover of Cate Wurtz's dad's (I think, it's been a bit since I looked into this) band, Space Station Lounge. It's why KS is a heavy reworking of Venus, because it was written about how he felt wanting to go to Kansas to meet her before he did and then Cute Thing was written
usually I hate talking about CSHR since i've removed myself pretty far from the band & it's fans but you caught my interest with this for some reason. I'd love to know how this information was found out. I wonder if it was a will told billis situation. I also recall lore about will toledo never going to kansas whatsoever and that "3" is cate wurtz's friend on the cover but will being told that it was cate by cate (which I think puts both of these songs in that time period) but to comment on their relationship or how will felt is, needless to say, strange. I encourage you to not speculate on this aspect. this information im telling is at least 7 years old at this point so keep that in mind. back to space station lounge though; here's what I could find on their online presence. - myspace.com/spacesl/music/albums - www.lawrence.com/bands/space_station_lounge/ - facebook.com/SpaceStationLoungeOfficial/ - looks like albums came online in 2021, this tune kinda goes hard: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Eidwj3OjcGI.html since info is kinda scant regarding the existence of (1) venus, I'd be inclined to say that your theory is somewhat correct. knowing past will toledo work ethic, however, i'd say this is likely an original that yoinks inspiration (all good artists steal). from what, I do not know. perhaps its just a one-off. whats your favorite CSHR songs? the only ones I still listen to is nobody dies (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XOdcH-wIj44.html) & how to leave town in general.
@@PolicemanPlanet What’s your problem with the band and it’s fans? (If you even have one, it just seemed that way because of how you said it, apologies if I’m wrong.) Just asking out of curiosity. Also what’s with the thing about will never going to Kansas? Not asking to speculate or anything, I’ve just never heard that before so I was wondering where you got that info from. :)
@@valkyrie2832 I can't answer for the guy who uploaded this video but I'd imagine it's the sort of creepy way a lot of cshr fans treat will toledo and his personal life
In the beginning, it was easy to deny A good friend of mine is on Venus Just you and me, and somehow was offered every time It's so hard to fly up on Venus Bright summer times, dancing, cruising, it's mine Then he longs to break away Another lonely day, up on Venus
Everything about wills writing and art gives the feeling if authenticity and the emotions feel real like they aren't hidden under any affects especially in the early years and its so heart breaking
Hey Mr. Tambourine Man, play a song for me I'm not sleepy and there is no place I'm going to Hey Mr. Tambourine Man, play a song for me In the jingle jangle mornin' I'll come followin' you Though I know that evening's empire has returned into sand Vanished from my hand Left me blindly here to stand, but still not sleeping My weariness amazes me, I am branded on my feet I have no one to meet And my ancient empty street's too dead for dreaming Hey Mr. Tambourine Man, play a song for me I'm not sleepy and there is no place I'm going to Hey Mr. Tambourine Man, play a song for me In the jingle jangle mornin' I'll come followin' you Take me on a trip upon your magic swirlin' ship My senses have been stripped, my hands can't feel to grip My toes too numb to step, wait only for my boot heels To be wandering I'm ready to go anywhere, I'm ready for to fade Into my own parade, cast your dancin' spell my way I promise to go under it Hey Mr. Tambourine Man, play a song for me I'm not sleepy and there is no place I'm going to Hey Mr. Tambourine Man, play a song for me In the jingle jangle mornin' I'll come followin' you Though you might hear laughing, spinning, swinging madly across the sun It's not aimed at anyone, it's just escaping on the run And but for the sky there are no fences facing And if you hear vague traces of skipping reels of rhyme To your tambourine in time, it's just a ragged clown behind I wouldn't pay it any mind It's just a shadow you're seeing that he's chasing Hey Mr. Tambourine Man, play a song for me I'm not sleepy and there is no place I'm going to Hey Mr. Tambourine Man, play a song for me In the jingle jangle mornin' I'll come followin' you And take me disappearing through the smoke rings of my mind Down the foggy ruins of time, far past the frozen leaves The haunted, frightened trees, out to the windy beach Far from the twisted reach of crazy sorrow Yes, to dance beneath the diamond sky with one hand waving free Silhouetted by the sea, circled by the circus sands With all memory and fate driven deep beneath the waves Let me forget about today until tomorrow Hey Mr. Tambourine Man, play a song for me I'm not sleepy and there is no place I'm going to Hey Mr. Tambourine Man, play a song for me In the jingle jangle mornin' I'll come followin' you
@@PolicemanPlanet the original songwriter just posted the original song on iTunes now. I can’t send you demos because I wouldn’t let my girlfriend hear practice demos but Turtle just put “Venus” back on iTunes because he’s upset people are lying about the genesis of this song.
