I was very fortunate to buy a 2012 triple black zl1 with very low miles on it,,I live in Canada and is a very rare car here ,only 99 out of 1900 that came off production line came here..mine is 355 off line..
It's funny you said this (although your comment was 2 years ago) because I do the same exact thing!...lol! My girl always laughs at me when I get out of my ZL1 bc she knows I'm going to look back at it.
I have the benz and a Zl1 and already been complimented by more than 93 ppl on the Zl1 and 10 ppl on the benz. Camaro zl1 is the hottest ride one can have before lamborgini I love the zl1 for the way it looks no other car can beat it .
I have a 2013 ZL1 with the manual and it is a fantastic driver's car. and in 2013 they started offering the MyLink in-dash "infotainment" center. It's pretty cool but I wish they would have kept the backup guides for the backup camera. That's the ONLY thing I miss about my SS. Even though the backup camera was up in the mirror it had the guides.
This isn't Motor Trend, Road & Track, or Car & Driver. They focus on the performance side of automobile reviews. On Car Tech, the emphasis is on the interior technology.
When I was in high school a kid got a Camaro for his birthday and did, in fact, wrap it around a tree. He didn't survive, luckily nobody else was in the car with him. These cars (love them or hate them) are fast, and not meant for beginners.

Why wouldn't he complain about the radio in a "Car Tech" review? And MyLink was only added to the ZL1 for the 2013 model year. If that's what you meant by "doing his research", maybe it's you who needs to fact-check.
@CyberPunk733 nope I don't care too either.i'm a purest when it comes to camaro's.69 ss/rs is all I need.But driving it doesn't change that I hate the look of the car inside and out.Driving it only depicts if it drives good.I clearly made statements on looks and refinement with still having the same engine.so save me the dramatics
i think he is just giving an overall overview. surely I wouldn't care for the mileage or the navdisplay and i hope anyone who buys the car or even consideres buying it, doesn't either. Cars like this are made to drive, not live in. But for him it is impost to list the pros and the cons. I am curious to see the GT500 review. Camaro ftw!
It depends on who you buy this "overpowered car" for. There's also smart and mature teenagers out there. My cousin got a 1996 Camaro SS when he was 16, and he's been a responsable young man with it. I've got my Corvette when I was 17 and I haven't crashed it yet, no speeding tickets or break downs. Any dumb ass at any age could wrap his or her car around a tree if they're being a stupid douche bag. But if you're smart. And drive like you have sense, you'll be just fine.
Drove a Camaro the other day (not ZL1) and the car is a BOAT. It's big and good for straight lines that's about it. You sit high, the roof is low, and the windows are small.
@shiinkun-Why wouldn't he complain about the radio? Because it is a ZL1!! The point is he wasted too much time complaining about radio/nav. Who cares. Use a smart phone for nav. Didn't spend enough time talking about important details like LSA motor, stout 9.9" diff, magnetic ride, track tests, etc. By the way, 2012 production was cut short. Customers already received 2013 ZL1s w/ MyLink when this video was uploaded. Reviewer never mentioned MyLink availability. Maybe you need to "fact-check".
If Chevy gave the option for all the heavy top-end options, then people would load up the car with unnecessary stuff and when it doesn't handle, they blast all Camaros and all Chevys and all American cars...it's like that stupid Superleggera, they take stuff out, up the power a little, and then charge you a fortune more...except Chevy didn't offer the stuff in the first place, which I think is perfectly fine given the nature of the car.
3 things i need in a muscle car 1) Comfortable/supportive seats 2) Touchscreen/nav/backup camera and 3) POWER. I wouldn't give a damn if the steering wheel is from the cobalt as long as the power is there i'm happy. You don't need a fancy interior in a camaro it's a muscle car not an impala

Just wait untill you drive a 2013 Camaro 1LE much better bang for the buck.I know as I have a 1990 1LE IROC and a 1992 1LE-B4C two great cars and now for 2013 1LE is back!
