I bought the 2013 $40,000 CC VR6 4Motion Executive. Yes, it was pricey, but its German build quality, attention to detail and quality interior blew anything on offer from Japan, Korea or the US out of the water. And the 3.6 liter VR6 is a rocket with massive acceleration and a sweet exhaust note. Best car I've ever owned. Also, it doesn't have the badge snobbery of a BMW or Merc. When people ask what I drive, I can say "I drive a VW" without any negative stigma of the other German brands.
I don't want to jump on the band wagon; but, this is CNET, where's the tech? We got less than 1 minute about the lesser head unit and the iPod connector in the glove box. This was simply a car review like the dozens of others on the right hand side of the screen. Brian Cooley would review the car AND mention tech options, limitations and value. That's what I watch CNET car reviews for; please incorporate these in the future.
People who watch Car Tech probably don't care much about the look, but focus more about the interior and tech functionality, and prefer to see a snubbing critique rather than a praising commentator.
TSI Actually stands for Twincharger Stratification Injection. The Combination of One Supercharger and One Turbocharger. The Supercharger gives you the Low-End Torque (Full, 207 lb-ft at 1,700 RPMs) and the Turbocharger takes over on the upper RPMs to give you the 200 Horsepower. The two chargers work together perfectly, with the Turbo picking up right where the Super left off so there is very little Turbo Lag. Wikipedia would have told you that if you actually spent the time and looked.
Doesn't matter how much HP. More torque and a better transmission makes the car. The CC Destroys all other 2.0T in the auto industry. You'd really have to drive one to understand cause I thought the same, until I drove it. I ate my words. Euro cars are the best.
Whats wrong with ipod being in glove box? It has its special compartment there and does not get in the way. Just plug it in and leave it in there.. Why would anyone want their ipod taking up space that you actually use?
the reason its in the glove box is simple, you put an iPod in it, not your iPhone every time you enter the vehicle. the point is to hide it and control through interface

This is a second attempt. They published this about a week ago and it got terrible reviews then also. That chubby weird guy is the head honcho I suspect it's a matter of ego.
I don't really get you - are you mad at me for making fun of this dude's weird sideburns, or mad at me for calling him chubby? Either way, do you feel it is appropriate to say far worse things about someone you don't know when you come to the defense of a person you don't know and haven't met? Perhaps the problem here is that you are sad and lonely and need someone to give you some excitement, so you come to youtube and suggest pornographic videos you'd like to see. You ARE awesome!
The guy with the sideburns that point to his mouth and the aversion to the gym said 5.5, the graphic said 5.0, and every car magazine that has strapped test equipment onto the VW CC says it's around 6.3. My "rude ass" comments are at least correct, even if admittedly harsh. If he had real friends, they'd tell him that his facial hair makes him look ridiculous and that he could stand to lose a few pounds. If his feelings are hurt, he can do what I do - use a razor and a gym.
man that 2.0 is getting long in the tooth, I mean only 200 hp? other automakers are getting more than that, I mean look at the 2.0 in the new genesis coupe. 275! it's like Vw's 2.slow. still 115 hp. after what almost 20 years now? maybe more?
OH. MY. GOD. I understand that Brian is awesome and all but COME ON, give the guy some breathing air, he has A LIFE to get back to after these videos. He may be busy, so in the mean time, stop freaking the freak out and thumbing down this video just because Cooley the Cool is not reviewing it.
