Car Topping a Kayak - Old Town Predator PDL 

This spring I am go to switch to just one set of mounts and use my winch to pull it on. Not because it's heavy but more because I can.

I use a floor mat in the back. Bath mats are also good to use since they typically have a grip texture on the bottom.

@@g-wolfoutdoors8150 I meant on top your roof rack, I noticed it easily you slide the kayak on top of the rack? Do you have something like a cushion? Or something similar? I like the way it easily glide into position

The Malone kayak cradles guide it in pretty well.

Right now I am setup to haul the Old Town Predator and a Bonafide SS127. Hope that helps.

Yes, for the ground mat. For the mat on the roof, I would stick with carpet so it slides easy.

They fit the hull pretty snug. I haven't had any issues.
