hello fellow's little explanation from a french guy here : the Milletipla ( need to be said with a italian accent "milayteeplah" ) is originally a joke from the start. they joked about having the worst car possible with 1000 hp then start a kickstarter for 50.000 and got more than 350.000 in a day. ( and end up with a million but only about 300 to 400 hundreds ended up in the ...car if you can call that a car) frame is finish but the engine will only start ( for us on youtube at least) next september. The said frame was made by tuners who usually works on japanese or american tuned cars ( good guys to say it clearly and professionals "w-autosport" ). they actually bought the C7 Z06 in america ( cause they know where to find the best things when you need powa who can actually last more than a fews yards). the rocket bunny kit is the cherry on top of the cake considering king kei made them wait for who knows how many months ( cause ..well.. he got others things to do than a custom kit on a fiat) As for the little nice details the car is gonna have some pieces used on the C7 who were running in le mans and others endurance races ( cause why not) they wanted to made it road legal to drive the street and go buy some bread but unluckily french norms are quite stricts ( just like everywhere though but still it's sad ) as for why it took so long ( even if it's not that old of a project) boat shipment went to a stop cause of a big boat stuck. You probably heard of that but since pieces where coming from america it was quite the inconvenience when it came to delivery delays. For rocket bunny kit, the first one kei mura send them ( the visuals at least ) was not fitting, not because it was ugly ( even if let's say it clearly there is no way to make a fiat multipla look great) but the opposite they want the car too look like something coming from a sick mind not from pininfarina's. for the more or less cools details they've got custom made wheels made by Works and custom made tires directly by Michelin ( who also sponsored them to get the fews things needed to complete this monster), as for the steering wheel it's coming straght from a gt 3 race car . oh and those crazy guys will put NOS inside of that thing, cause and that's what they said in their videos, " when drag racing a Chiron 1000 hp is not enough" all of this to say that it's probably the most pricey joke but when looking at the americans and others countrys too, there is crazy people everywhere it seems ( lucky us) thanks for your many crazy ( and interesting) videos, even if i don't understand all of it cause my accent comprehension suck as much as my orthograph. have a good day ( or night from my perspective, night prowler here) edit: i just realised but there seem to be quite a fews "loulous" in the comments. as a Frenchyman I want to add a bit about the French YT channel, Vilbrequin. They indeed took a C7 chassis but they didnt need to raise a million, they did make a crowfunding asking for 50k and people were so supportive it went over a million

3:53 Don't forget, Mullet ws supposed to be a rocket car but one of the drivers for the drag team that was going to supply the engine died, while racing, during the project, so he pivoted to using just a regular engine.

The concept you showed for the Vilebrequin's Multipla was the original one that got canned. The guys at Vilebrequin didn't like it because it was too pretty. It's supposed to be a joke car, it's not supposed to look good. So they asked Rocketbunny to make another one... I know, very french.

I love how at least this part of youtube community is one big family, although getting out of hand it still feels organic not forced.

Mullett is now running a 540" Big Block Chevy based engine built by Steve Morris. The LS that was in it was at it's limit running the same times it is now on essentially a base line tuneup. The tune in it now is around 2000hp but the build will hold another ~1000hp. Steve says each pound of boost should yield ~100hp so it would theoretically be possible without even changing turbos as they are only @ about 20lbs right now on the promod 96's

Wow wasn't expecting to see vilebrequin out there ! Just a little detail to complete, they were originally "only" asking for 50k to help doing this stupid but fun project, but their community just went crazy and gave 1 000 000 for it 😅 . It's so dumb yet so cool i can't wait to see this thing on track

VILEBREQUIN GANG (it means crankshaft in french) they raised this much money and they're planning a big even near paris and you're right about the car itself although the concept you showed was the first draft by Miura and they didn't like it so he made another one and apparently miura is very slow and annoying to work with

Also met Ryan at lime rock. That engine is LOUD! loved it.

The problem they have with the 1000tipla is that the process of adapting the chassis to the bodykit and driving position is tedious and very expensive, the bodykit itself took 8 months to be finalized and a piece of it doesn't fit right. i've been following the project eagerly since they announced it and I cannot wait to see the final result. and I hope in a future episode when it's finished you can talk about it again Edit: some mischievous Loulous (Vilbrequin's community) decided to raid the comment sections and I'm sorry about that

In the video you watch the rocket bunny kit they show with images is the first concept send by rocket bunny but for vilebrequin this was way too good looking so they ask rocket bunny to make a other kit that show it "still" an multipla (yes they want a ugly tuning multipla but got 1000 horsepower)

I'm a fan of Matt's Off-road as well as the Donut. The Morrvair is inspired. When I first saw it I was completely stumped as to what it could be😁. Matt and crew do some really cool stuff 😎

There's so many youtube channels doing crazy stuff with cars. I'll have to watch the first video, but Grind Hard Plumbing Co is always up to something awesome, and Westen Champlin loves to build crazy stuff. Holly with Mischief Maker and her new race truck, Derek at Vice Grip Garage with his many, many projects, oh and Junkyard Digs and Junkyard Mook. The ridiculously expensive builds are very cool, but saving junk and cobbling old shit together for me is just as enjoyable.

For Vilebrequin (meaning crankshaft). They did it as a joke and started a goFundMe or something like that. They got over 1millions euros from it. All of the money actually available (about 50% or so) is used to build the 1000tipla. The engine is from a vette c7 that got rear-ended and totaled, the engine is just fine. Got the body kit made by Kei Miura (Rocket bunny). The car is supposed to be a joke, so it should look like one. The first kit that Kei Miura showed them was looking actually nice, even tho they wanted something completely stupid. The Second kit is the one you see in this video. Roll cage is done, new frame. Things that are to be fitted on the cars: -custom exhaust system to make a 4 exhaust end like a Pagani. -The LS swap (MID ENGINE MOUNTED) -Widest tire they can get. -Ugly a** livery Italian bootleg.

some clarification about that multiplat , they want to make the 1000tiplat to be the closest possible to the renault espace F1 in term of track performance and stuff, it's not just another 1000hp car , since they had that much budget they are going to use actual lemans corvette C7R parts so it can become a track monster. it's a bit dissapointing they're just using an american V8 as they could have used any kind of cooler engine to make that power but oh well

i've been following Vilebrequin (means Crankshaft) for the last couple of years, and this project is really sick. however, i don't think they ever had the plans to do an AMG. it was mostly a joke because the only thing they could afford back then were some stickers or something like that. the crowdfunding went absolutely crazy and i think they are one of the best YT car channel. Funny passionnate and interesting, if you can speak a bit of french, go see their stuff

You got almost all the things right for Vilbrequin, im french, live at Le Mans, and basicly they've made the the 1M charity especially to build the 1000tipla. And they had Issues with everything espacially delivery times because of Covid. Now they have the Motor, the mods (supercharger) and the Kit. The Builders for the car or W AUTO Sport, they are really good race cars builders in France. Here is all the info you need to know for the Frenchs. Oh and it "might" be built for the end of 2022 near October

For a third part you could look into the Audi RS4 B5 Sedan 2.0 from Phillipp Kaess (yes, originally there never was an RS Sedan). Its being completely built from scratch with all carbon fiber parts after the first version burned up. The first one had about 1300 hrsprs. The new version is said to become even faster. Another mention would be worth for JP Performance. They built the thunderbunny. A Golf Mk2 with a custom widebody and a rear mounted VR6 Engine. They also built a Beetle which only existed in Gran Turismo and they put the insides of a modern BMW M4 in the chassis of an E30 M3. Great Video as always.
