Why do we consider twistlock not life support in tree service industry but it is in rope access industry?? And I love the petzl balllock!

Probly because trees are so much more complicated and variant. One less thing to worry about?

Because a more complex locking action afforded by d triple and quadruple action carabiners are much less likely to come undone by shifting ropes/cables compared to screw lock and twist lock carabiners.

Great video. Can someone help? What carabiners will I be happy with saddle hunting on an amsteel bridge? Any glove or cold weather considerations? I’ll be using SRT method, 10.5mm platinum rope with ct rollnlock ascender for a mechanical advantage, and a grigri+ for repelling back down. I’m a little overwhelmed with options at the moment. I think the linemans belts I got don’t have locking carabiners, so I’ll need to change those out too if you have any suggestions to get me going safely and spend my money wisely. I appreciate your help.

If you use the biner with opening down the up action is actually down. Really depends on how you use it. On a lanyard up action is down.

I'm a bit puzzled, at 12:25 you introduce the DMM Revolver staying," They all kinda started with this one right here..." then at 13:30 you then say, "DMM... A little late to the party but did not want to be left out..." If it all started there, what party are they late to?

DMM was the first to integrate some type of pulley into a carabiner, but it was very small and had limited uses. Other companies then started making carabiners with larger integrated pulleys. DMM eventually caught up to the rest of the field when they released the Revolver Rig, which has a much larger sheave, bend radius, and efficiency.
