Caran d'Ache Neocolor II Aquarelle - A first impression 

I absolutely loved it when one minute we are looking at your colouring page then there is a commotion outside the next second we are watching a magpie being bullied all on its lonesome then you blink and we are back inside looking at your colouring page. thank you it made me smile

I’ve been using these for the first time. I don’t use watercolors, but enjoyed the pencils, so I had to try these. I adore them. I don’t use them on the pointed end, but just use my water brush on the flat end. These are wonderful for adult coloring books. Thanks to you, I’ve purchased my first watercoloring book. Thank you for the introduction.

I have a set of Neocolir 2 and I use a palette to lay down some color and then a wet brush to pick up the color. This way you are using it like paint.

Beautiful Henny! The lady I saw using the Neo Color II scribbled the color on plastic or a palette and then wet it and used it like water color. She said they last forever.

I just got the set of 84 Neocolor IIs and love them but want to know the different ways to use them so thank you for this video. I hope you try them in a regular coloring book so we can watch you using these in non watercolor paper too.

Good idea to try the neocolor II in this book. I have this book and should get my neocolors soon and I just might try it.

I use the Prima Marketing Watersoluble Oil Pastels. I’ve got a Video about them on my Channel. They are very similar to the Neo Colors. I learned that you should not put to much color down, that helps to dissolve the pigment easier.

Hello!!! I’m so glad to see you have a set now. I’m not an artist but just a Colorist here on RU-vid - but I love my Neo IIs and I use them quite often in my coloring. Don’t forget to wipe the protective wax from the tip and butt, it can mess you up if too much gets on the paper, the wax will not dissolve. Also I like to pull color from the butt with a wet brush. And I’ll use the tip for finer lines if needed. But I absolutely love the line I have 99 colors and I hope to have the complete line by Christmas 😍. I just recently purchased some Supracolors and they match well with Neo IIs. The intensity it not as strong, but the colors line up well together. Have a great day. See you in the next video 💕-Faith

I’ve also seen somebody use these dry and blend them with color shapers but I’m not having much luck with it unfortunately.

Those are Rooks. We have a lot of those. Perhaps the magpies hope to nest here and that's why they are upset at the incomers.

Where are you located that Swiss Neopastels are cheaper in the US? The neighbourhood looks EU

You're cute. So what if you color slow, long as it's enjoyable and relaxing right? Thank you for the info, looks like when you wet the paper first, the color becomes somewhat set and not so good for moving about. Long as you know that ahead of time, as it might work for you depending what it is you're trying to accomplish.

Always Coloring op RU-vid heeft ook een leuke manier om de neocolors 2 te gebruiken. Je kunt ook met een natte kwast het pigment oppakken en dan echt als waterverf gebruiken! Ik doe dat altijd aan de achterkant zo sloop je de punten niet.

Hello from the states! Your channel comes recommended to me. I don’t have these crayons, I have the Aqua colors. I think they are made in Germany. I love mine. They are water soluble. I live in West Virginia.

Dee Dee Gillingham uses them in her coloring book videos on you tube. Her videos are really good. I really enjoy them.

The less you have the more you use your imagination. On Caran D'Ache site they spray the water on or wet the pastel an paint on the paper. The lightfastness is suppose to be very good! What you have done is lovely.

It is not necessary to use so much pigment by coloring heavily on the page. Many wet the bottom of the crayon and use a paintbrush to paint the color on. The colors are vibrant. It takes a while to learn how to use these effectively so they look nice.

HI.... I have a set of water initiated type of waxy crayons by Staedtler called Karat Aquarell that I bought approx.five years ago. I have used them basically like you have ,but I had never wet the paper first..I am happy to see your technique.of wetting the paper first ...I used to use a simple ordinary hairlike brush to rub over the crayons tips like you do with a wax dry crayon ...I used this method to lay down pigment on the page .I will retry these crayons again.. I was a bit disappointed when the water from my brush did not activate the pigment enough on the paper ... I felt that when I used the crayons since they have not the sharp point of a wooden color pencil I lost interest using them mainly,..as I could not reach certain small areas ....... I will readjust my methods and the paper maybe. I will try leaves as you have as these crayons appear to be a great way to color leaves and even skies .Plus I must buy a set of water brushes to use with the water color crayons also . I never tried blending crayons with color pencils yet,...but I wonder if you have experimented with this idea.
