In this video we are giving our views based on our personal experience on buying a new TV for your Caravan or Motorhome. This is based on 13 years we have been doing this and after buying a few cheaper TV's, we took the plunge in 2014 and brought an Avtex TV and we have never looked back since.

We had a slight problem with a Celllo tv, and I would endorse the comment that their support is fantastic. Happy with the picture, but the sound is a bit thin. Not too thrilled by Avtex performance on tuning, Cello pulled in more stations which is why we threw the Avtex away.

My Autotrail came with an Avtex. Nice picture but it had to go back for repairs after 18 months when the picture delaminated and the DVD player gave up after two years. Wouldn't buy another at that price.

Sorry to hear about that we brought our in 2011 never had any problems they are not cheap 👍

Sods law but ordered a Cello 22", will be here tomorrow (Monday) to be fare I did a lot of research between Avtex & Cello, will see how the viewing angle is and if it's not great then back to Amazon it goes, £160 with a DVD player seemed pretty cheap compared to close to £400 for a Avtex.

Hi there, Ink about to purchase a Benimar Tessoro 494, 1st motorhome…what is the best gas system to use and will they except 11kg bottles? What do you think about Gaslow conversion.? Regards Billy

Hi Billy Depending on where you use your motorhome in this country or abroad. The problem with this country is most petrol stations are now removing LPG I looked into fitting a gasit system, because most of the time I am in this country I have opted for 11KG flogas with the 6KG calor bottle as a backup flogas is less than half the price of calor. I did a video on my gas bottles about 2 years ago. I hope that helps

Well done for a great video. We have an Avttex and although we don't watch much tv when away I can also highly recommend it. We are thinking of getting a sound bar but we'll see what the sound is like in the new Motorhome. I like that idea of putting DVDs on a stick but I'm not that technically minded. Does the firestick or the DVD stick (not sure I'm understanding this right) only work if you have a phone signal? .....I am going to watch again to see if I can get my dopey brain to understand lol -Lin

Hello the DVDs are on a memory stick I found how to do this on RU-vid it is a program called handbrake I'm not very technically minded myself. The fire stick connect up to the phone using mirroring from your phone on Smart View you will need internet signal on your phone to stream unless you have films already on your phone that you've previously downloaded. Hope this helps

@@familyadventures9723 thank yo so much. I watched it again and now you've explained it more i now understand. Will definately be doing some experimenting once we get the motorhome. We should both be able to see RU-vid properly instead of trying to huddle round the iPad too lol. I've learned a lot thanks again - Lin
