not impeccable. he hit the rim on one tom shot during his solo. but to all intents and purposes he is insanely good and i have no right criticising him because i will never be able to do that lmao
awesome bass guitar work! definitely at least a five string but it might be a six string? anyway it is very tricky to get those high fret walking areas and he does it so well. you know they are a good bassist if they barely move their hand to different frets.
Great performance guys. I studied Drums under the Late JACK HARBUTT of Adelaide ,South Australia But the drumming in this gig..wow! Top performance Sir..I could see you doing a duet with Buddy Rich..Love to see you guys play in Adelaide ,South Australia..Greetings from Robert
un arte lo que hicieron algo unico y espectacular admiro mucho a la gente que toca el jazz debido a que lo que hacen y expresan es el alma al momento de tocar de musico a musico: Mis mas sinceros respetos
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Just saw the movie for the first time the other night (don’t ask me where I was 9 years ago when it came out and how I missed it🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️). I fell in love with this arrangement (well the 9 minute one on the soundtrack) but wanted to see this solo done live sans the movie editing. Dude here was ah-mazing!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 As they say, give the drummer some!!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I guess I'm too used to Duke's version with Juan Tizol, who wrote the piece. This thing was just a screaming blasting banging blowout compared to Duke's version, where everybody stayed "in the pocket." I like Duke's.
I know live recordings are incredibly challenging, but the mic being so close to the out-of-tune sax player just drives me crazy. "Close enough for Jazz" should not be a thing.
saxophone tuning needs to be cleaned up, or jaw isn't properly placed but i highly doubt that because it seems to be played by pros, too late to fix it though. Nice drummer
